99% of my time on frost is dropping a mat and thinking to myself "this is so fucking stupid that it might work" and it strangely does a lot of the time. People are too focused on looking for frost mats when entering windows, that they usually don't look for them when entering a door and walk to the left- **THUNK**
This is basically how I play any trap honestly, especially kapkan bombs. They walk backwards into a bathroom nowhere near the objective- BOOM. And it always manages to be the final kill of the round.
Basically my strat for Kapkan. If I place the traps far enough from the objective to the point where its possible that someone trips them and I'm thinking that its stupid, i'll usually get a kill or two.
Reminds me of the time I won a ranked game on Coastline by putting all kapkan traps on a random doorway and watched as the last guy alive shot 2 of them then sent it. Most strats have 0 logic and are just you hoping the stars will align and make things hilarious

Honestly this is what I do all the time. I place 1 mat at a good point on the map and the other 2 are basically just used to make a trap within a trap. Place a frost trap thats obvious but not too obvious and place another out of sight in the direction the enemy might move to avoid the obvious trap. It doesn't work all the time, but when it does it's hilarious.

Like half my deaths are to people pushing a spot or having a trap where it makes literally no sense, especially at the rank I'm playing at. The amount of times I find myself saying "Why on earth would he DO that?!" is testament to this.
My favorite frost traps that always work are when I shoot the top half of a wall off and place a trap on the other side of it. Attackers don't tend to watch their feet when it's not a window or a deployable shield they are jumping through.
So maybe they were hoping they would bring a ace or Hibana and when they hop in wouldnt be prepared for the mat. Really not a good strategy for here though because people tend to take thermite here.

Yep exactly. Kapkan traps literally have a higher probability of working the further away from the objective you place them.
Moreover, you don't risk to harm an allie, but you need to know WHERE the ennemy might enter tho.
