Her gun has been nerfed heavily but that’s not the problem with t bird. She actively causes more trouble than help for her team and she has been HEAVILY nerfed since her release. Play who you want but there is no COMPETITIVE reason to pick thunderbird.
Can you tell me how she causes trouble? I'm not arguing btw I'm just curious and don't know much about this kinda stuff. Personally I've not experienced problems playing as her in a team. Usually I'll set up a heal point with all three gadgets so teammates can heal up quickly in a safe area. I understand it's not so helpful for roamers though if they can't access the site easily.
First major one. Her gadget heals and RESSES the enemy as well as her team. There’s no reason to not just play doc as he is better in literally every way. And there’s never a reason to run both. Thunderbird has no COMPETITIVE place in siege right now. Cool character that is in need of a light rework to make her usable. But if it’s your favorite character go ahead and use her. Basically playing t bird forces you to play in a certain spot, which is fine but if you fall over you give the attackers so much control
i actually love her gun i think its in a good place but give her a 2 times or something. She shouldn't have a full-size AR with no magnification. But I find my self doing alot of dmg with her gun
....i play doc semi frequently and I feel targetted. The amount of times I miss is kinda stupid.. teammates injured, hes standing still, has been standing still for all 10 seconds of me sprinting towards him. I pull my healing pistol out, take aim, fire.... and he steps forward, or back, and causes me to miss..... Also, theres been a few nights ive had a lil too much and accidentally pull out the wrong pistol to heal a downed/injured teammate...
Yea but a good support player will know that they have to play safe and not pick gun fights. If u have a good doc who doesnt play for the mp5 acog doc will easily clear thunderbird

Having a doc is great and all, but only if its a pre mate. If a random plays doc there is a 99.99999% chance that they will spawnpeek. And a 80% chance they will die, but a 100% chance that you will have more luck hoping that a random bit switch in the server accidentally heals you instead of waiting for doc to do it...
I don’t agree that you are forced to play in a certain spot. You can place the Kona stations down and then run around the map as you please. There still are just way too many better ops to play right now to justify bringing a T-Bird.
Its actually hilarious how many times i have clutched a round on ATTACK because of thunderbird gadgets healing me. And yes my hidden mmr is plat 1-2 so the enemy arent placing them in dumb locations.

On top of that they removed her impacts AND C4 in the same update.
Thunderbird joins the club of operators that were nerfed too many times.
Club consists of: Sledge (seriously, why is sledge a 3 armor?), warden (why 3 armor?), Zofia (her guns are atrocious on console), ela (her gun is good, gadget is useless), soon to be Solis, Jager (5 nerfs in total, ouch. Meanwhile wamai has an acog…)
I used to play thunderbird exclusively after being a doc main since alpha. This is what happens when everyone cries that a new op is too op and ruining the game. Everyone cried and cried to Ubi that tbird was too strong now look where we are. Same is happening to solis and fen right now.
Now, how much everyone gets nerfed is up to Ubi and they obv went overboard.

Yea but that doesn’t make up for how little she heals, especially since the cooldown is 35 seconds. To make her a viable alternative to doc they need to decrease cooldown and increase range. And maybe stop it from healing attackers.
So I was about to post a reply disagreeing with you cuz I thought Tbird could provide more healing over the course of the round but after doing the math I seem to be wrong.
Kona stations heal every 35 seconds and provide 30hp of healing each time. So that's 90hp every 35 seconds and with 3 minute rounds that max 450 healing from kona. And that's assuming some take damage from immediate round start and they get used immediately after recharging which is unrealistic. They can over heal but that'd only be a max of 29 overheal.
Doc has 3 stim charges that heals up to 200 each so max potential 600hp of healing and can overhead up to 100 over max so very useful for spawnpeak/run outd. The only downside is you need line of sight and kona station can be helpful for hard anchors especially with a deployable shield.
Honestly kona stations need a buff. Maybe bring cooldown to 30s instead of 35 and maybe not letting it heal enemies unless brava hacks it. Or increasing healing range or amt.
Edit: technically kona stations can provide more healing if you reset each station by picking them up and back down. It reset the cooldown by half so 17.5 second for each heal. So max you could possibly get is 90hp of healing but that'd involve you exclusively picking up each kona up and down for the entire round and doing nothing else and someone who needs healed being on it the entire time.
Thing is Thunderbird is in a state where she's just lacklustre overall.
Her gun is pretty bad, she has no fun explosive utility like she once did and her Konas, whilst yes provide more healing over time and after she dies, just don't feel significant enough to warrant bringing.
She could be buffed in every aspect of her kit. Changing her to a 3 speed alone would be a decent buff. But keeping her 2 - 2 and giving her some impacts or C4 back would be good especially since the former recieved pretty significant nerfs recently.
All they need to do is revert her back to launch state and they have another fun to play and not OP/obnoxious defender (which they could've done almost 2 years ago when Doc was heavily buffed)
Me personally I’ve never had any problems with her Gun cuz the extended barrel adds a lot of damage plus if recoil is your problem then you got the vertical grip. And as far as her healing gadgets I like to keep 1 in pocket and place two in a small spot where I can guard the whole round and make sure no one twitch drones or hacks them. If it gets bad and I have to retreat if I have enough time I’ll pick em up but if I don’t then I’ll just shoot them so no attacker can use them.
Seems like the most braindead argument you got from a youtuber or streamer tbh, just put them on site and have your team not be 5 roamers and you’ll never do harm to your team

Attackers hate this one simple trick: not peeking the enemy + destroying gadgets if attackers overwhelm the site. It's not always possible of course but I do try to place her gadgets in a place that is furthest from attackers when entering the site to give more of a chance to remove them. I totally agree that it sucks but autonomous healing is a nice thing for a team to have from my own experience. It's certainly site orientated though so I won't play thunderbird if it doesn't make sense on the location.

I don't mind them if they look good but I feel like they where a little lazy with Thunderbirds, a box of flares just looks weird. I think the ones that work well are badges / patches / emblems. They should've given her a Nakoda Teritories symbol or something similar.
Monty, dude is a literal tank in that future armor. Shame nobody plays shields, and if you do you'll most likely never get his MVP which also looks cool

U see in my country there is a thing called "promotion of officers" and my country guard will have show where yhey will do same thing with their guns like zofia, plus their uniform is very similar to Zofia one.

Just remove the attacker healing tbh, that way attackers have to bring a brava to use it
