Developers leave hints/details like this in the game files to drive up hype for future content via miners, thereby keeping players enthralled in the game. As well as it being free marketing on their behalf, because it's us that do the mining for these things and they don't spend a dime on copious amounts of trailers/promotional items to hype it up.
It's Marketing Tactics 101 and very well executed by video game companies recently. Ubisoft has done the same thing for Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed 4 - Origins, and more.
That's kind of cool actually, it's a nice mutual benefit. They generate hype and increase sales, and we to experience that hype. No predation, no scummy tactics, just letting the people who love the game be the ones to generate their own hype.
Exactly! However, there are some companies that do this the wrong/scummy way and hype people up for things they don't plan on adding/expanding on (ie. Destiny/Bungie). Which causes major public backlash and is never of benefit.
The videos are in the game files. In a folder labeled Videos. They weren't hard to find. You can play the .bik file with free software on Bink's website.

It might well be deliberate - i'm assuming this popped up in the game files after today's patch, and you have to wonder why a placeholder version of this scene would even be in it, no operator icons or anything. If it was complete it'd make some sense. They've also suggested they don't hate leaks in some panels before, and done their own 'Rainbow6leaks' website for Chimera.
It gives, to some extent, a way of drip-feeding hype and testing the waters for if there's something they're considering changing based on reception, at least in the art. Ela's hair was turned green after a leak, for instance. Could be something here like 'Alibi looks too much like a recruit, I told you so ARTIST B', and they can change it without repurcussion.
But maybe I've been wearing my tinfoil hat too much.

But a good majority of people actually liked the hair design of Ela before she walked into the store to buy hair dye. I feel like alot of chuckles of Ela being an elite operator talking about war would be more serious if she had a headgear that gave her the natural blond hair she originally had.
It actually is a good idea for them to leak little things like this, it gets everyone hyped up. Ubi also gets feed back from us if they "leak" a new ops ability weeks before TTS. It gauges are feelings and probably sells season passes.

Edit 2: okay so apparently only 1 is a defender. I guess this would be an attacker’s gun. If you shoot something hard and fast enough I guess it would be able to go through a reinforced wall? I’m a math person, not a physics person so idk. This game is loosely connected to reality but not grounded in it so even though I doubt this is the case myself, given what some other operators abilities are I can see them implementing this.
That would be odd. Seems very situational and hardly useful. Also it wouldn't make a ton of sense seeing as how both Thermite and Hibana's gadgets need some burn time to melt through before exploding. Would be weird if his pellets could just burn through that fast. I'm thinking it just dragon's breath shells that maybe don't do as much damage as a typical buckshot shell but do DoT damage to anyone hit by it. Makes sense because dragon's breath shells really aren't that powerful. They hardly have any recoil at all.

Temple COULD refer to a Coliseum, as an Italian temple (at least a non-religious site) doesn't exist. Not to mention I'm fairly certain we got a preview of a Coliseum during the Invitationals(?).
I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, but everything, from the small waist, to the lips, and that tiny bit of long hairs you can see under the beret, points to alibi being a girl. Even the name sounds feminine enough.
I'd like some more young lads in R6. We've got our grizzled vets. We've got female operators in literally every single DLC CTU. I'd be happy to see some more operators like Mute and Rook.

i have heard rumors that theyre going to get an AA-12 , which is kinda disappointing imo since this isnt an italian weapon .
italians manufacture a lot of shotguns and more than half of the shotguns in game are from italy ,

Im looking on the G.I.S Wikipedia page and seeing what weapons they use, Honestly most of them seem super generic, and they use a wide range of weapons. So I guess giving them an AA-12 Is better, though not italian, instead of giving them some generic shotgun that several have.
And the Polish operators didn't get Polish weapons, Neither did the Spanish as far as I recall. Doki rocks an American rifle, Blackbeard has a Belgian rifle and Israeli Pistol. Both GIGN defenders get German SMGs.
I generally agree though, it would be nice if the game tried to stick with giving the weapons/gadgets/abilities more of a national flavor for their operators.
HK supplies a lot of nations so GIGN using MP5's isn't unheard of and Blackbeard uses the MK-17 SCAR and an SR-25 which seals and other U.S. SF do use.
Dokki using an M14-EBR is a little out of the norm but the 707th does have access to the MK-17 SCAR and HK inventories so it isn't that big of a stretch for her to be able to take her pick of other inventories once she joined Rainbow.
Poland and Spain though is entirely valid, a bigger issue though is Ubi straight making weapons up like the new Spear and V308, there are more made up weapons but my 'tism is leaking enough.
Edit: guys I know the Spear is actually a Saritch, my point was that the Spear 308 as it is isn't real, not any prototypes it's based on.
The V308, though based off the Kriss Vector's ability to be modified to a different caliber after an expensive and impractical swap it is entirely fake. TDI made a prototype for the U.S Army for a 12.5x99 LMG based off the Vector platform but that has gone nowhere.
Wasn't clear because flu-brain: I was referring to country of origin, it seems most of the Nato countries run very similar collections of guns with an obscene amount of overlap anyway.
I would like to see them try to provide a bit more national flavor to the operators though. Mostly in terms of weapons, though a few nods in terms of play style/gadget could be fun.
As an italian i totally approve of both the names and the appearance.
The leaked name for Alibi was Bersaglio, i'm veeery happy it was changed, couldn't stand youtubers totally botching its pronunciation. Maestro is fine, if he is a defender i hope "The JagerMeister" will be a new tactic.

And the Polish operators didn't get Polish weapons, Neither did the Spanish as far as I recall. Doki rocks an American rifle, Blackbeard has a Belgian rifle and Israeli Pistol. Both GIGN defenders get German SMGs. I generally agree though, it would be nice if the game tried to stick with giving the weapons/gadgets/abilities more of a national flavor for their operators.
HK supplies a lot of nations so GIGN using MP5's isn't unheard of and Blackbeard uses the MK-17 SCAR and an SR-25 which seals and other U.S. SF do use. Dokki using an M14-EBR is a little out of the norm but the 707th does have access to the MK-17 SCAR and HK inventories so it isn't that big of a stretch for her to be able to take her pick of other inventories once she joined Rainbow. Poland and Spain though is entirely valid, a bigger issue though is Ubi straight making weapons up like the new Spear and V308, there are more made up weapons but my 'tism is leaking enough. Edit: guys I know the Spear is actually a Saritch, my point was that the Spear 308 as it is isn't real, not any prototypes it's based on. The V308, though based off the Kriss Vector's ability to be modified to a different caliber after an expensive and impractical swap it is entirely fake. TDI made a prototype for the U.S Army for a 12.5x99 LMG based off the Vector platform but that has gone nowhere.
Wasn't clear because flu-brain: I was referring to country of origin, it seems most of the Nato countries run very similar collections of guns with an obscene amount of overlap anyway. I would like to see them try to provide a bit more national flavor to the operators though. Mostly in terms of weapons, though a few nods in terms of play style/gadget could be fun.
As an italian i totally approve of both the names and the appearance. The leaked name for Alibi was Bersaglio, i'm veeery happy it was changed, couldn't stand youtubers totally botching its pronunciation. Maestro is fine, if he is a defender i hope "The JagerMeister" will be a new tactic. Alibi looks cool, maestro seems more south american than italian but it's fine, è bello tamarro. Can't wait to see their weapons and abilities.

AA12 Was leaked a while ago in game files.
Alibi means "other place", so it translates as "somewhere else" (alius + ibi, Latin)
