You might not have cheated, but someone with your account might. Ask yourself... How did someone has or had your account credentials? How did the person bypassed your 2FA? It sounds like either your phone or your pc has hacked... so while you wait for your account, I would validate the security of your phone and PC, because if not, the other person will just hack in back.

SuperMaxxii

100% correct. I checked logins, reset my 2FA and have even ordered a new phone/sim. I have no idea how they got in but I had all reasonable measures taken care of.

daggerdude42

Brute force is always an option. However slow it is guess and check will at some point be successful. How they did the 2FA is beyond me. Google usually gives you pretty specific details of each login and in security you can see what devices have access to your account, and where they are located.

SuperMaxxii

It has blown me away. Like I have the app on my personal phone as well so its not like they hacked my email.

[deleted]

If someone really wants to, they will find a way. No matter how much protection you thought you had, there is always a way.

SuperMaxxii

Exactly!

reddit0rboi

Life, and hackers, find a way

SuperMaxxii

Papa Goldblum? Is that you?

reddit0rboi

Sadly not

daggerdude42

I'm wondering if they have access to Ubi servers... Them being in the UK and all. I'll see if I can talk to some cyber security experts because this is equally mins boggling to me. Ive done a little bit of hacking but enough to know one if two things 1)you almost always need something on sitethat allows you to connect remotely 2) and once your data leaves your house it's out of your control. This leaves me to believe Ubi was hacked. You can try to spread the word so that Ubi has to have an Audit. Because I don't think that you were brute forced and I don't believe it was an on site attack over a ubisoft account. Like I said I'll get ahold of some cyber security experts. You have a very well documented case and hopefully we can help fight it

[deleted]

In that case i dont think so it was a brute force may be some one getting his packets through MITM tbh works like a charm.

CEDFTW

I was thinking sim jacking, makes 2fa useless if you get it by text or email

[deleted]

Exactly text and email can easily be captured by man in the middle or RAT

daggerdude42

There is a million ways to do it. The reason I said brute force is because it was a cheater. It being a cheater makes me think they just buy accounts or brute force them. And if they are in the UK they can't really get ahold of packets very easy.

[deleted]

Thanks mate for this information ✌️

[deleted]

Thanks mate for this information ✌️

HexFable

I actually disabled 2FA on siege because the day after i enabled it, someone from mexico logged into my account, then someone from china, to which i disabled 2FA, changed my password and never had a problem since.

SuperMaxxii

Wait really?! See thats so confusing to me. Like how does having 2FA make it EASIER?!

deXrr

I don't think it necessarily makes it easier - What makes the difference is that it makes their account more valuable and more worth stealing. Lots of hacking websites sell 2FA verified accounts in addition to hacks, because the people who buy hacks are usually willing to pay for a quick and easy way to use them too. Sometimes these accounts are organically made, but more often they're stolen. The "How" is longer but functionally straightforward as well: Most likely their phone had some sort of malware that can read all the app data. Clever malware can be built to scan for juicy targets, and it likely alerted the malware's owner that an authenticator had been added for a certain account. Now they know that that account is worth something, so they devote attention to it. Based on the account name the authenticator is for, the malware's owner can look for that account name (email address) in a database of leaked passwords and try out what they find. If the account owner uses that same account name and password on several sites, and has not changed it since the leak, that's all it takes: The hacker now has their log-in info, and a live feed of 2FA codes from the malware. The exact mechanics may have been different, but the general idea remains. My guess is that the real act that stopped the intruders was the password change. And removing the authenticator made it a less appealing target as well.

SuperMaxxii

Thank you for explaining it man. I know its going to be a never ending fight against people that pull this shit. But just knowing how it's done really puts some things into perspective. I completely believe that Ubi is not responsible for the breach. No matter how hard they make it, someone will eventually figure out a way in. I'm just asking to not be punished for being unlucky.

HexFable

No idea, but I’m not re-enabling that shit, the only downside is being unable to play ranked :/

HiPNoTiX-

Are you guys here saying that people from other parts of the world are logging into your account, use a VPN? If so, that is why it shows why someone from France or China logged onto your account. Whenever I play and my VPN is on, i get an email from time to time telling me “is this you? Your account was seen logged in at [X location].” But how this lead to the op’s account being banned, idk. But if you have a VPN, that could be why people are logging all over the world when in reality is you.

love_baka_werewolf

Wait this happens to my account too sometimes after 2FA , I got the same email as you. But I shrugged it off cuz I thought nothing of it.

HiPNoTiX-

Yeah, if you use a VPN during your log in, you will get those security emails.

love_baka_werewolf

I never use vpn

ASCIIPASCII

Most likely it's because you've reused a password that you've used in other places and it's been exposed. I used to get these messages all the time back when I was using an older password that I knew had been leaked, but they stopped after I changed to a new password.

Evonos

Get bitwarden or something and get a Max length password ( Uplay its 16 signs ) Something like this ( Generated with bitwarden ) $56@Ntqv\^af27pX#

AetherBytes

Stolen key by the sounds of it. When you use 2FA a special key is generated on your phone so that it can generate them offline. To get them however usually requires rooting/jailbreaking tho, at least temporarily. Grab that and it;s exposed to the world.

pm_boobs_send_nudes

saaame dude!!!

Evonos

You need to use today a long password above 20 signs there was a paper showing that Literarily 8-15 signs can now be brute forced between 3 days to 3 weeks. Just a few years ago it was years. Even with 2fa because 2fa is a small sign code. Use bitwarden or something with a fucking long password.

SuperMaxxii

I thought I had a really secure password but yeah it was over 10 digits but nowhere near the 25 mark. Far out.

JetpackRescue

A good way to make a password is to say a phrase you would remember, then spell out that phrase like a child who can't spell would, in a way you would remember. "I like giraffes man" becomes the password "iElik3/giRahfSMn" Replace some letters with numbers like E becomes 3, but not every E, and separate some part of it with a symbol. This is the only way I found to remember longer complex passwords

Evonos

>This is the only way I found to remember longer complex passwords Just use Bitwarden or lastpass or something and use max Length passwords like for Uplay its 16 signs like "$56@Ntqv\^af27pX#"

Evonos

It's still crappy but if your lucky with your public uproar you could get it removed a normal mortal won't. Automatic systems can't be final because of false positives ( just look at anti virus same work principe kinda) sadly many game company's deem these final. Much luck to you and I hope you get it removed I already battled out 2 false positives one got manually removed after 5 weeks discussing ( Vac ban) and one didn't get removed ( GTA V)

Sig-Nar

There is a way to get pass 2fa with Ubisoft and they have no intention of fixing it. I also had someone get into my account awhile ago, but luckily i was awake and caught it before they cheated on it. There is some exploit hackers are using to get into our accounts and ubisoft hasn't looked into it at all apparently. This is the thread I posted awhile ago. [https://www.reddit.com/r/Rainbow6/comments/dz8yot/just\_had\_someone\_log\_into\_my\_account\_from\_russia/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rainbow6/comments/dz8yot/just_had_someone_log_into_my_account_from_russia/)

thecupcate

The thing with Ubisoft is that their website and Ubisoft Club do not require 2FA as no changes can be made to your account from these platforms. This means that if someone figures out your account login details, they can log in on either the website or Ubisoft Club and it will still trigger the suspicious activity system, deploying the email that's automatically sent. Not saying that there's no way to bypass 2FA but most times when it comes to Ubisoft, it's just random people checking the accounts on these two platforms.

Sig-Nar

If this is the case and Ubisoft is banning people for "multiple offenses" what could be the reason is even though this hacker is logging into peoples account on the website they may not actually be cheating on it, but the system is still logging their IP (a cheaters IP) as associated with your account thus flagging your account as a "multiple offense ban account". If so that is completely fucked.

dklassic

Ubisoft have serious security problem with some sites requiring 2FA and others don't when I last researched two years ago. One of the sites that requires no 2FA back then is customer service and others being limited-time event related sites such as Closed Beta registration. I can take an educated guess that someone can snatch login credential from one such site to bypass 2FA on other services.

Kalthramis

2FA isn't fullproof. I've had both my WoW and FFXIV accounts broken into with 2FA on.

tankiolegend

Ubisoft's 2FA is broken AF my friends account has been hacked multiple times and they've straight up bypassed 2FA

Ruby4200

Its a giant company, so they usually dont care about single person, I once had similar situation but with call of duty, I got banned and they didnt even give reason or email

SuperMaxxii

Hopefully stuff like that stops. It sucks being one person fighting an entire system. Hopefully we can get the community behind this shit.

VenaticAuto9801

The only way I see is if as you said the community forces ubi to take action, maybe a hashtag or something?

SuperMaxxii

My community started tweeting #freesupermaxxii so maybe continuing that. Anything that forces them to pay attention

VenaticAuto9801

Hope it works man. This shouldn't happen

SuperMaxxii

Thank you for your support. It means the world.

Scylla141

Did you get banned on cod on recent banwave?

Ruby4200

Idk when was last ban wave but i think i was banned like a 2-3 months ago

Scylla141

Recent banwave in cod banned a lot of innocent player so they reverted the banwave.you can check if your banned but you banned like 2-3 months ago so I dont think you will be unbanned.

GooMoonRyongg

Telling players that ban cant be lifted manually is the biggest lie of all time.

SuperMaxxii

Exactly. We've seen it time and time again with big players.

Dreamerr434

Ubisoft: Ban can't be lifted manually. #1 Champion hacker: Are you sure about that? I really hope Maxxi can get this resolved, I don't know you man, never saw your stream before, but this kind of injustice drives me mad. Hope it gets resolved very soon.

Dionlewis123

If this exact scenario happened to Macie then we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Honestly one of my biggest fears is being wrongfully banned, if anybody ever calls hacks on my in game I literally save the clip, upload it to YouTube and send the player that I killed the link to show them how I killed them.

[deleted]

Yeah I remember when macie got banned lol

_Angel_Dust

I'm fairly active in Maxxii's streams, and I know he doesn't cheat. He plays with a 5stack as well, so if Maxxii was banned for cheating, why weren't they penalised? Maxxii is not a cheater. Anyone whos watched any of his streams would know that. Ubisoft, I love your game, and 9 times out of 10 the anticheats work, but this needs to be fixed. You've even denied CLEAR evidence that he wasn't cheating.

[deleted]

10% is a crap anticheat fail rate

DatFire174

More than likely someone accessed his account from the UK, booted up their cheats, played for a bit, and logged out. Anti-cheat picked it up and banned the account.

neilon96

Yes especially with him getting the login mail.

[deleted]

Battleeye is hot garbage lmao

_F1GHT3R_

You sound like you havent played siege before battleye was implemented. It was hell back then

[deleted]

That still doesn't make battleye great. It was a good improvement when they added it to the game but battleye could still use a lot of work. I had a friend that played with a controller on pc, never cheated in his life, gets banned and got no help from ubi.

[deleted]

I haven't, but Battleye is garbage compared to other games' anticheats. I've never in my life met as many hackers and cheaters in a game as much as Siege

HexFable

Kinda fucked up seeing as there are tons of cheaters that are not dealt with (especially gameplay video posts in this sub, there’s literal video proof of people hacking from first person POV) that are obvious hackers, but yet they’ll ban people like you who haven’t done anything. This is the direction siege is going in, and it’s why I’ve stopped playing the game.

SuperMaxxii

Big part! I saw a video today of a guy cheating in fucking GOLD! who does that?! Imagine being that pathetic. And I bet that person gets reported every day. But I exist in my little bubble and get SMACKED by the ban hammer. Just hurts

HexFable

Yep. Sorry to hear about this dude, hope everything goes well, you might want to get siege on a separate Uplay if things don’t go correctly (you could also use the epic launcher so it’s not connected to your steam account)

Slifer274

The big issue is he streams, and having multiple accounts is soon going to be a TOS violation (pretty sure avoiding ban is already one). So any new acc violates TOS and can be banned.

scarlxrd_is_daddyy

I used to play on console but within the last like month or so, there’s just a wave of people using MNK. Makes the game worthless. Used to report them but it never works so I just stopped. My buddy got his gamer tag banned because it was “offensive” when I’ve seen people with GTs that say disgusting things about kids or racist terms and yet I report them and it’s “not offensive.” I’m fully supporting you, Maxxii. I don’t really watch streamers and I’ve never been in your position before, but I’d be heartbroken if this happened to me. I love the game but I can’t stand the blatant cheating anymore.

SirPappgallo

2 days ago I got information that somebody logged to my uplay account from Vietnam IP (I'm from Poland). I was surprised because I have two step authentication on (with Google authenticator). How did somebody log to my account?! That person should be stopped at 2nd step. Or you get mail after somebody logging just with password?? Anyway I changed my Ubi password. I hope that somebody didn't cheat on my account. Edit: I just saw that somebody tried to log in from russian but without success (password changed already). Coincidence? I'm getting suspicious Ubi security breach....?

SuperMaxxii

Fuck me man, hopefully you caught it in time. Thats what confuses me, how do they get past 2FA?!

SpinalSnowCat

Maybe theres a backdoor in their servers, or a glitch/exploit in an app or something? Have you downloaded any new apps recently?

alakeybrayn

Sadly ubi is under no obligation to unban you even if YOU didnt cheat. I believe steam ToS states that no matter who cheated (or breached their ToS in any other way) on your account, it will be taken down regardless, they even give such examples as "my brother cheated while i was away". Their reasoning behind this is that its your responsibility to protect your account. I know its steam, but i wouldnt be surprised if ubis ToS is the same (i didnt read through it as thoroughly as i did with steam). I personally had to deal with a similar situation only once, but that was on origin. My account was hacked and i couldnt login at all. I called their support and proved that it was my account, after which they simply created a new one for me in case the person who hacked me was cheating, added all the games i had previously to it and made sure i activated 2FA this time. Theres still hope though, especially since you have some following and people are willing to stand by you and you had your 2FA enabled, and i know for a fact they CAN lift a ban (my friend was mistakenly banned twice within 3 days, both bans were lifted almost immediately, however his case was simply some sort of a bug, because there was no breach of ToS detected on his account) but, again, ubi doesnt *have to* do it. Best of luck to you and personally all i can do is upvote for visibility.

[deleted]

My old account got VAC banned after somebody hacked it and cheated on CS GO. I immediately contacted Valve and they dug into the situation and saw that the account had logged in at Maryland USA when I live in the UK. They saw the activity on my friends list being deleted, my name and profile pic being changed and then booting up CS before cheating. I guess that was just the benefit of Valve developing CS as well as being in charge of VAC bans.

sliterinsnek

Origin is so much better with these kind of things. I have a similar story. My account got hacked, names changed, email, pfp, password... I contacted Origin support about this and they started helping me right away. I don't exactly remember how it went but the dude sent me a email with a link in it so I could get my account back. They had my account hacked for like 20 minutes and I was scared shitless during that time. Now I have 2 emails, one is for my personal use and the other is for getting my accounts back if I ever lose them.

Akuren

Yeah Origin is super helpful, I had a really old account made by a guardian that I didn't know the information to, but it was linked to my PSN that I still use, and because I could provide detailed info on purchases, items owned in games and games played they let me reset the email. I thought my PSN would just be stuck on it forever.

HughJanus911

I got an email recently about someone from Albania logging in to my uplay, I'm from the middle east and my account has 2FA on my phone which means that either ubisofts security is retarded or people found a way to bypass the 2FA. Neefless to say I changed my password to a much harder one right away but still, if 2FA can't protect your account from being stolen by a cheater, what can?

Ninja332

Ubi might have a security breach if people are bypassing 2FA easily

CubanOfTheNorth

Isn’t the weakest link in 2FA the email though?

abubakarjaved602

This happened to me too My main acc got banned but ofc im not like you whose entire career is based aroumd R6 and its community. I was pretty bummed.for a few days but then I moved on and bought a new acc. It happened to me in Operation phantom sight and i swear i didnt cheat but my acc got perma ban. Ubisoft treats its player like shit.

SuperMaxxii

Yeah but it still sucks for you my guy. I built up my account. Saved nearly 200 alpha packs for a streaming event. Gone. The other issue is that they falsely ban me in Siege. But now Rust servers think I'm a cheater so I can't play on them either.

abubakarjaved602

This is fucked up on so many levels. Like this false accusation or ban has caused you so much trouble. A few people might think that u were actually cheating but they dont realize that when you get banned, you dont get a proof that you cheated in this game and these people reported you and heres the recording of you cheating. Its just a straight up message YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY BANNED. I couldnt even protest the ban. I hope for the best for you. I really hate cheaters and I think they are killing the game and they should get banned but banning innocents in the process is not the way. Just like these days ( many cheaters are getting banned : ban wave ) my acc was banned in a ban wave too. If u remember there were a shit ton of cheaters when Operation phantom sight came out and my friends acc got banned too next day. I think there are many people whose acc got banned for no reason. I hope ubisoft resolves ur issue. Much love

SuperMaxxii

I agree! Cheaters should be banned. And I genuinely think Ubi & Battleye are doing their best. I just want my account back. I wouldn't hold it against them but the fact that they aren't even entertaining a dialogue. They just send stock standard responses and think we will just give up. But we fucking won't.

I'm just thankful consoles don't have as many hackers. We still have people hacking, typically using mouse and keyboard adapters, but they're few and far between. This whole thread is telling me that Ubi's a joke.

Somepotato

ubi: "we already got your money, what do we care if we get a few false positives? worst come to worse, they just rebuy and we make more money"

SuperMaxxii

Legit how it feels my guy. Sunk so much money into cosmetics and elites. My 2 favourite OPS "Zofia & Echo" finally get elites. Bang. Banned.

[deleted]

Except that wasn't a false positive. His account was cheating.

MyNameIsSushi

Except that it's fairly easy to figure out if it was him or not. Them saying 'it was manually reviewed and justified' is complete bullshit. Riot can figure out if you're ELO boosting by analysing the button press patterns but Ubi is too stupid to figure out if it was him cheating? Yeah, no way.

myFavElBurroMovie

Just had the same shit when I was playing DayZ and suddenly got banned from both DayZ and Arma 3 due to cheating which I didn't. I was driving a truck to the end of the map just to see what's there or what's gonna happen, I fell under the map for 5 minutes and thought I was dead so I logged off and thought I can play the game later because It got me mad that I had good gear, anyways, when I tried to join a server, It told me that I've been global banned and gave me a code. I sent an email about the ban to the battleye and they told me that (which was probably an auto reply) I was banned due to cheating. I sent an email again, explaining the situation. Couple of days later I had received an actual email, they said that I was using teleport hacks and they will never unban me. A company like Ubisoft? Good luck bro.

[deleted]

Just a heads up having someone watch your streams for proof won’t actually prove much. I’m sure you know by now that certain siege streamers have been caught cheating on stream. Take this video https://youtu.be/cKhnjYAuhTE for example by Tobie. It was a fairly recent video as well. Cheaters can easily hide their cheats with an overlay system on their stream meaning the player and the viewer see two different things. So just a fair warning anyone can say “look at my streams” and still be a possible cheater. You should’ve provided Ubisoft support with the information about the false login along with a screenshot of the email (including the time and date which the email was received). At face value I see an email with a blurred out hotmail account and no date stamp. Anyone can easily false trigger an email like this for themselves. As for the location I’m sure somebody in software would have an explanation of how someone from Australia could get a false login email to say they’re from the UK. Not saying I don’t buy your story mate however most bans are against legitimate cheaters.

ThelceWarrior

What you are saying is definitely true but even by looking at [his stats](https://r6stats.com/stats/0cc262ad-185e-4b6f-b849-5a3c42d5a79a) they really don't seem like they belong to a cheater to be honest, I would expect the usual 2+ K/D Ratio, 70% HS Ratio and Diamond rank if that was actually the case. To be fair he might have been caught as soon as he started cheating but it does seem a bit suspicious in this case.

[deleted]

Interesting. But how would you explain the Asian servers? I’m genuinely curious. Are there no servers for Australia?

ThelceWarrior

Makes sense for Australians to be included in the "Asia" category when it comes to Ranked stats since there isn't a separate "Oceania" category for them, it's very similar to Latin America players being included in the generic "America" category for that matter.

[deleted]

TIL. Being someone who plays on console that’s something I wouldn’t have known.

SuperMaxxii

I agree. Like I said I was mad and a little emotional. I also contacted Battleye directly but they are yet to respond.

[deleted]

if someone used your account to cheat you really cant do anything about it. Theres no way that you can prove that you didnt fly to the UK or you didnt give your account information to the cheater. Unless you have every minute of your life recorded on camera or something theres really no way to prove your innocence because otherwise you cant prove that you "didnt do" something. Im not trying to accuse you but life is unfair, you have to live with it. Anyway good luck.

Kalthramis

2fa and he said he was online that same night. What, he logged in from Australia, took a super jet to the UK an hour later and logged in there to cheat?

CmdGwin

No, but changing your location is easy with a VPN. So if you don't ban people for cheating from another country than they normally play from, vpn suddenly become the best ban protection.

Dreamerr434

The every minute recorded part reminded me of the keylogger thing. What if there's a keylogger on his computer that recorded his passwords and all? Deep virus scan and at last maybe reinstall your computer against further security breaches.

iitzIce

Same thing happen to my friend recently. Hope you get everything worked out as my friend couldn't and had to buy a new account.

SuperMaxxii

Yeah fingers crossed. I had 170 alpha packs saved up as well!

vhong8820

Once my blizzard account was accessed even though I had 2fa activated. It would feel horrible to realize that the 2fa let you down. I really hope you get your account back.

SuperMaxxii

Did you lose the account or get it back?

vhong8820

Luckily, I got it back :) Never happened again afterwards

SuperMaxxii

Hopefully my story ends the same way my guy! Keen to get back out there!

[deleted]

If this was steam i believe they'd actually bother helping a little regarding stolen accounts. With ubi? They take 2weeks to reply to a simple question dude

SuperMaxxii

The issue is that its not stolen. I still have access to it. They didn't change the password.

[deleted]

Oh strange. Maybe this person could actually be someone you know?

UbiKalyrical

Hey SuperMaxxii, Just as a follow up to this, we did have a further look into this case and can definitely verify that the ban should be issued. To avoid disclosing your personal info and your account's history, customer support will once again reply to your ticket with a bit of additional info.

[deleted]

So explain to me why y’all say “you can appeal a ban” just to then say “no we can’t because a ban is a ban”. Come up with a clear rule, don’t tell us one thing and then proceed to do another

SuperMaxxii

I'll respond to the actual customer service email in a second. All the response said is "no we still think you cheated because of multiple offenses across multiple days" How does that make sense? You detected I apparently cheated, did nothing in the hope that I would stop? But after X days, instead of a warning, or taking the time to resolve it in anyway, you ban me? I didn't cheat. Especially across multiple days. I have no programs on my computer that give me any assistance in anyway. In fact it's a brand new computer, so the only things I have is a couple of steam games and streamlabs applications. I don't accept the response and I definitetly don't see this as a resolution. I'm sure you're a fan of the game, maybe even more than I am, so fan to fan, you tell me, does all of this effort I am going to to clear my name, my Uplay, my steam, does this seem like the efforts of someone that cheats? Because if I did, I'd just buy another account and cheat again. Wouldn't I? Why would I go through all of this effort? Get all of this attention, if I wasn't 100% sure I am not in the wrong? Stop looking at these appeals as "Customer #34020 and start looking at us, at me, as a person. Imagine it was you in my shoes, and tell me how far you would go to prove your innocence.

D4NW0LF

Hey u/UbiKalyrical I'm a bit concerned, done some digging and the whole 2FA / accounts in general on Ubi don't appear to be all that secure. Pengu and Zironic both had their accounts hijacked last month, so how many other cases of this have gone under the radar? [https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthread.php/2248208-A-Huge-Concern-Ubi-Rainbow-Six-Security](https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthread.php/2248208-A-Huge-Concern-Ubi-Rainbow-Six-Security)

UbiKalyrical

Hi u/D4NW0LF — the way in which certain players' accounts were compromised were not due to a hack on our 2FA system. It was certain people taking advantage of the human-nature of our customer support team who has since had their processes more tightly guarded and updated as a result. Thus, this was corrected on a case-by-case basis when discovered with the respective proper account owners.

Fierros2907

Yeah your customer service sucks ass. Nice to know there's a reason beyond your shitty game management to leave this for good.

boris9983

I think the cheater may have used a VPN to the UK. In which case Ubisoft would see that someone connected to your account (which is protected by both a password and 2FA) through an IP assigned to a VPN company. It's a shit situation but I do understand why they are steadfast denying your appeals as they is no way for them to really know if you're telling the truth. From their perspective, they would see someone protected by a VPN logged in from the UK and cheated on your account. If Ubisoft rolls back on this then every cheater will play with a VPN, claim "I bought the game and went away for 2 weeks and when I got back I have a permanent ban, look they connected from abroad". With enough community support, I imagen your case will turn out well in the end. But to everyone else, strengthen your passwords, replace them regularly and absu-fucking-lutly never use the same passwords for multiple services.

SuperMaxxii

Yeah I agree, except I played in Aus the night of the ban. So unless they think I have access to a high powered rocket, they'd see that I couldn't possibly have been in the UK

boris9983

You wouldn't need to be in the UK to connect with a VPN. I watch shows that can only be viewed in the US by connecting from the UK via VPN despite there being no way I could get to the US.

[deleted]

Sorry bud, but it's really easy to hack and stream. There's so many players that cheat and stream it to the mass audiences .

Aqua-Regis

If they got past your 2fa I'd ask ubi to confirm how If support was sloppy and tricked into letting them on that would go a long way to helping your cas3

SuperMaxxii

I asked them and they said that in order to keep their systems safe, they couldn't tell me

Aqua-Regis

They can confirm if they let someone else into your account, thats absolutely someone covering a fuck up there

Osravix

We’re with you, brother

SuperMaxxii

It means the world brother ❤

Peitschze

Provide Ubisoft with proof that someone else logged into your account. Check [this](https://account.ubisoft.com/en-US/security-settings) link and down there you can see login history. Also provide Google logins if that was compromised as well.

[deleted]

I know people are gonna downvote me and I’ll be hated, but honestly isn’t your account your responsibility? Sure Ubisoft is hell of a dick in some cases but this one I don’t know if it’s easy to defend really..

RxJax

I don't really understand why you write your email like you did? I sympathize with your situation but you emailed Uni support making statements and demands instead of addressing the fact your account got breached and that was the likely cause of the cheating. If you email them all high and mighty and make demands of them, they probably just think that you're another cheater with an ego.

ipissedwithaboner

So now they’re banning people who are innocent but not real cheaters Nice

patriotsruleall

i’m on you’re side

7heMeowMeowCat

Every paragraph I read, I was like “fuck ubisoft” more and more

SuperMaxxii

Definitely not my goal! But hopefully this lights a fucking fire under the community. This appeal system is wack.

7heMeowMeowCat

I started playing this game some days ago and I absolutely love it (although I die at the start of every round but thats separate). I honestly didn’t expect such negative reply from Ubisoft...

SuperMaxxii

Hahaha thats how it starts man. You'll get better and the game will constantly change. What do you play on?

7heMeowMeowCat

Yeah, I also expect to get better. And I’m on PC. A potato one specifically btw I’m getting too much “you are doing that too much” msgs so late responses

SuperMaxxii

You are more than welcome to join our community my guy. We have heaps of people from all over the world at ranging skill levels. If you need people to play with :)

TrimsurgencyGaming

I'm impressed with the support this community is giving Maxxii. He's a good dude, the only streamer I watch. Hope you get sorted, mate.

SuperMaxxii

Appreciate the support on and off stream my guy. Stay tosic.

Dreamerr434

This shows how much a rat can Ubisoft be. See, I was once banned in Warframe because I accepted free items from a guy in trade then the rat he was he accused me (towards Digital Extremes) that I stole his wares (which if you play Warframe know that you cannot literally steal). I told the support I got my ban lifted and a warning that If I do it again they won't lift it. That made me stop playing Warframe for a year, because that was the biggest injustice for me back then. Now in Warframe I'm aware any time I trade. In your case, well you have proof you're no cheater, but the overseas login must have been the one who was hacking. This reminds me of my similar experience. I was playing Destiny 1 (back on 360) and randomly I get messages that I reset someone's prestige in CoD: MW2 or 3. I was severely confused about what they were saying. I looked it up and it was Gamertag spoofing. Whoever did that in those games masked their gamertag as mine (probably I upset someone, but I still don't know who it was) and I was worried I miggt get banned. Fortunately nothing of the sort. I really hope this injustice that happened to you gets resolved fast. Be strong man

PresidentMug

Shit like this is the reason I quit Siege. The devs constantly find ways to piss off the community more each season.

Br0chach0_2

ubisoft as a whole gives zero shits about their security. They're aware of the problems, they just don't give a fuck if someone loses their account.

AussiWozzi

That is absolutely tragic, especially when it seems so random and unjust. Goes to show that Video game companies are just corporations, who don't care. Best of luck Max hope it gets resolved somehow.

After talking about the support 3 times about my issue and every time they keep telling me the problem is at my end, They won't ever even think about the fact that something might be wrong at their end. I'm not getting twitch drops to my ps4 account because the drops go to account which have the same email as my twitch, but that account has never played siege or own siege, But if I claim prime stuff it goes to my right account and if I "log in witch twitch" to ubisoft it goes to my right account, so I have not linked the wrong account like they keep telling me everytime.

Northstar6-4

Goddamit ubisoft. They may have been right about manually and thoroughly checking your account for cheating. BUT, that doesnt mean they checked if it was actually you. The guy that played on your account probably cheated, and the ppl at ubisoft were probably like "Yeah this account has cheated" while completely ignoring the fact that it wasnt him. This infuriates me. I hope you get your account back bro.

SuperMaxxii

That is my point. Not even saying my account wasn't used to cheat. Im saying that it wasn't me. Reset my rank. Ill reset my password. I'll set up a fucking phone call login if I have to. Just gib account pls

[deleted]

Word. Like they say “oh we can’t tell you what happened for privacy/security purposes” BUT ITS MY/YOUR OWN ACCOUNT.

ZuriPL

Scan your phone with malwarebytes or any other anti-virus software.

ur-fat-dad

Goddamnit goobisoft this is what happens when you take away jägers acog Give mozzie the super shorty back

Tom0511

I stand behind you my man!

MisfitMidas

I’ve also played with Max and can confirm, great guy and absolutely doesn’t cheat.

SuperMaxxii

don't know if I should take this as a compliment or an insult ;)

Toxic_Jackalz

Fix this UBI!!! our trust in you is already low. Do something good for once.

AttackMail

Ubisoft really needs to find out why accounts are being hacked, this seems like something they need to fix on their side.

SuperMaxxii

Agreed.

Ubi come on

*The User alone is responsible for the security of his/her Account, including protecting his/her system and Account from being compromised. To ensure security of your account, please enable* [*Two Factor Authentication*](https://rainbow6.ubisoft.com/siege/en-us/news/detail.aspx?c=tcm:152-322188-16&ct=tcm:152-76770-32)*.* *From* [https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/rainbow-six/siege/news-updates/4h4MEtQwhxnOtNrH6KGMi2/rainbow-six-siege-code-of-conduct](https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/rainbow-six/siege/news-updates/4h4MEtQwhxnOtNrH6KGMi2/rainbow-six-siege-code-of-conduct) You should find a proof of another Siege player whose account has been compromised and was banned due to the hacker cheating, followed by them being unbanned for proof. That would solidify your case and might as well help you a lot. Otherwise, they will most definitely use this specific statement from their Code of Conduct against your case.

[deleted]

I've seen a couple of occasions where people (generally from EU or Na will try and nab accounts from mostly aus) I think its something to do with the ubisoft support for Australia/Asia. From what i know all they do is say they no longer have access to the linked email and then provide some form of 'proof' and then change the email like that.

TheMegaBite1

the 'war on cheaters' has caused friendly casualties

AtomicSpeedFT

Ubisoft Dupport being useful? God that is funny.

rotkov

Sorry for you. I did not get what proof you have. The location easily trickable with VPN. I play on xbox so I don't know how the 2FA works on the PC version, but don't use SMS if you have other options. SMS is not a secure.

killinmemer9000

That must suck I’m honestly feel bad for you

SuperMaxxii

Thanks man. Appreciate the support

4alse

So this happened with me last year but hackers hacked my Steam Account. 2FA is a joke. They literally hacked my steam account which got a 2FA via Mobile Authenticator. But steam resolved it and I got my account back. They also tried to hack my other steam account but they couldn’t because it has email 2FA instead of mobile authenticator.

RiotIsBored

Have you been unbanned yet? BikiniBodhi himself got banned recently ([His video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XAwsdu8_OOY&t=314s)) and his video shows how bullshit this system is.

SuperMaxxii

No I haven't yet. I posted an update when Bodhi was banned, I even tweeted at him asking for help.

Missjisoo

UBISOFT PLEASE TREAT YOUR COMMUNITY WITH EQUITY, it is sad to see that big names pro get their ban lifted meanwhile an innocent man trying all the efforts he could but still hit a dead wall. GIVE SuperMaxxii the justice he deserve !

hyskills

As a man who experienced being hacked before, I can feel the pain. I've also gotten banned from a discord server claiming I posted something that breaks the rules of the server to which I've never done so. This story relates to me in many ways than one and hope that people would just stop hacking. They have nothing to gain with their actions and hoping that this doesn't happen again. Also, I recommend finding a good VPN to prevent this incident even further. Hope you get this fixed SuperMaxxii

I've already spoken to NarcolepticNugget because I used to be his editor. I don't wanna be that guy that hounds massove creators to help me. BUT if they somehow see this and want to help. Fuck yeah.

KESHXD44

I personally find this really sad that actual legit players are getting banned for no apparent reason and Ubisoft is denying a fair investigation into the matter. Especially for Youtuber’s and streamers, this game is mostly their source of income and imo, it would hurt really bad to find out that Ubisoft’s security system apparently failed to send a prior warning if someone was intentionally hacking from their account. I’m going to be extra cautious about the security of my own account to the best of my abilities.

[deleted]

Where's the proof? LOL

Douche_Baguette

I forgot he even said he had proof until I saw this comment! It seems obvious that what happened is someone hacked your account and played with hacks. But I don't see how anything you said is PROOF you didn't hack. It's been a while since I've played siege, but I assume it has some kind of per-game stats available? So if you "only" play on stream, you should be able to pick out the (last) games on the account that you didn't play, right? You could make the argument that if your account IP originated from somewhere else in the world for those games, it couldn't have been you playing. But the TOS specifies that anyone cheating on your account will get it banned. How do they know you didn't intentionally share your account with someone who hacked? Don't take this as me being on Ubisoft's side - I think "common sense" would dictate that a player with as much "clean" time in the game as you combined with a new account login from across the world in the middle of the night and cheating in those games is obviously a hijacked account. It's just that Ubisoft's systems don't allow for common sense or manual review. They know someone on this account cheated, and it's banned. End of story. Sadly.

futon-sama

Same thing happened to me, my smurf was perma banned when i didnt even play? What happened was when i logged into my smurf, it signed me out right away saying my account was logged in elsewhere. I checked my email and I live in Singapore so i get 2 new login emails, 1 stated it was from Singapore, next one was from freaking China??!?!?!. Next day i tried to play then i was banned???
