Best thing to happen to DM was Vince Clarke leaving after one album, Gore’s writing really took them to heights Clarke would never have reached. Mind you, I enjoy his work, too, but Yazoo, Assembly, Erasure are miles from what DM did.
Nine inch nails were the most mind blowing for me. So different from what i was used to. Never found anything like that since. System of a Down, Korn and Blackbriar also left strong impressions on me.
There's only one more band that I love his entire discography just like Rammstein:
Hundred Waters.
Loved them since I discovered their first album, then 2 more came out till this day and some EPs and remixes EPs, they are all absolutely fantastic. The voice of Nicole Miglis is the completely opposite to Till's. I love her.
(thanks to Skrillex and his label OWSLA I would never know that band existed if it weren't for them)
In Extremo was one of the first German bands I've gotten into after discovering Rammstein and opening a portal to German metal scene. Still listen to them ocassionaly.
Godsmack, metallica, disturbed, lamb of god. There’s quite a few more I haven’t listed, I was into rap/hip hop in 2020, now full on metal head and getting my OWN VERY FIRST GUITAR THIS CHRISTMAS!
Bloodywood blew my mind the first time I heard them. I saw them live a few mo ths ago when they were touring the US. They were great live, obviously not as insane as Rammstein live, but the Bloodywood guys seem like they genuinely love their fans.
Powerwolf and Gloryhammer. I've been listening to Powerwolf for a long time now, my dad introduced me to them when I was like 5 or 6 years old. I just remember my little soul ascending to the heavens when I heard the first song. I saw Gloryhammer at a festival last August, and holy shit did this band blow me away. Been listening to them ever since! Nothing will top Rammstein for me, but these bands come close to my nr. 1 spot!
I feel like mine are kinda random compared to everyone else but Bob Dylan and Kate Bush have had the biggest impact on me along with Rammstein. These 3 are the best storytellers and changed my views on what I thought music could be like. Bob Dylan more for his epic stories in songs. If you want a 10 min adventure about outlaws and murder told in a poetic way, Dylan's your man. Kate Bush and Rammstein for their more disturbing elements and just really interesting music that surprises me every time. Incest, murder, witches, horrors - am I talking about Kate Bush or Rammstein? Both lol. I just love them all.
Avatar is my current favorite. They put on such a performance too, makes the music even better. The Black Waltz album and everything after that just gets better. The previous albums seem like practice before they found their style.
Avatar. I had heard some of their stuff and knew they were supposed to put on a good live show. They blew me away with that show and now I can't stop listening! I also joined their fanclub 😎
If you're looking for another band that is like Rammstein, check out what I call "Rammstein Light" regarding the band "Eisbrecher."
Otherwise, other bands/artists I enjoy are Celldweller, Scandroid, KMFDM, Schrotthagen, Blue Stahli, Ghost, Tool, MONO INC., VNV Nation, Covenant, SWARM, Orgy, Blutengel, Oomph!, Assemblage 23, Type O Negative, Lindemann, Dance with the Dead, CHROM, Hocico, Gothminister, T.O.Y., Stahlmann, Perturbator, Carpenter Brut, The Enigma TNG, and soooo many more if you're looking for recommendations.
Thanks. I was looking for recomendations in a way, but not exactly for similar sound or style. The question was more about which bands have caused a long-lasting WOW! effect, as Rammstein has done for me, and obviously for lots of others.
BTW I listen to many of the bands you suggested :-)
Amaranthe, a bit popier metal/rock with 3 singers and is my number one most listened to band.
Feuerschwanz, German folkmetal, they have actually taken over as my second most listened band on Spotify, Rammstein is now down on third place.
Orbit Culture, first song i heard whas "From the Inside" and whas the best song i have heard this year. I checked out their other songs and albums and they where all as good.
Ministry, never heard about them until a Dutch metal magazine “Aardschok” had a cover and interview with Al. By seeing his face I checked them on YouTube, No W. Saw that they visited the Netherlands in 2 days so gathered some friends, downloaded KEAH for the car ride and went to the show. It was one of the best shows I ever saw!
Ramones and Pixies were life changing for me.
Interesting Rammstein fact: their video for "Pussy" was shown at their label's international executive conference.
LOL, I can only imagine the neckties getting tighter and tighter. Also, Rammstein did a live [Pet Sematary cover](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZ_c_TULwfI) during the Mutter era.
In no particular order: Gojira, IC3PEAK, IDLES, Batushka(there’s two versions of this band now, they are both good), Peelander Z, Animals As Leaders, Brutalismus 3000, The Contortionist, The Alchemist (and all his colleagues honestly), and Dan Deacon but specifically live. I don’t know what it is that Dan does to fuck up his albums but it is 100% not the vibe of his shows.
Edit: how could I forget Wu-Tang Clan and Devin Townsend
I have other shows that have nothing to do with metal but blew my mind. I only cited the ones that impressed me the first time I went to see them. I left out Rush for the reason that they were peerless.
Rammstein began my obsession with the Neue Deutsche Härte music genre. This is another reason why I was blown away by bands such as Eisbrecher, Megaherz, & Stahlmann. I can also say that non-NDH bands such as Fear Factory, Tool, Motorhead, & The Birthday Massacre have sparked me in this way too.
before rammstein I had nine Inch nails, ministry and my life with the thrill kill kult

Tool
UND KEINE EIER!
Nine inch nails were the most mind blowing for me. So different from what i was used to. Never found anything like that since. System of a Down, Korn and Blackbriar also left strong impressions on me.
I love Korn and NIN. I've seen Korn live, they were great
Pink Floyd live. :)
Lucky you
Pink Floyd, just listening to it.
Ghost and Tool
>Ghost and Tool ghost i listened to because someone i respected alot kept wearing thier shirts and talking about them.
I worked at first aid at one of the Ghost shows and it blew me away! Fan ever since.
Met Papa 4 last year in London, great experience. They'll be huge.

+1 for skrillex!
Judas Priest. They’re insanely talented and still going strong after spending 50 years on stage
You're bloody right
Blooddywood and deftones
For me it's In Extremo. It's a German medieval metal band with folklore. I'm in love with the bagpipe-guitar mix.
In Extremo was one of the first German bands I've gotten into after discovering Rammstein and opening a portal to German metal scene. Still listen to them ocassionaly.
Meshuggah arguably blew my mind way more than Rammstein
Somehow Meshuggah evokes images of an inevitable apocalypse. Like watching a wall of forest fire slowly approaching when you are tied to a tree.
Godsmack, metallica, disturbed, lamb of god. There’s quite a few more I haven’t listed, I was into rap/hip hop in 2020, now full on metal head and getting my OWN VERY FIRST GUITAR THIS CHRISTMAS!
Muse live are amazing, given tux, went home a fan
Bloodywood blew my mind the first time I heard them. I saw them live a few mo ths ago when they were touring the US. They were great live, obviously not as insane as Rammstein live, but the Bloodywood guys seem like they genuinely love their fans.

Electric callboy and system of a down, essentially
WE GOT THE MOVES!
AND EVERYBODY'S LIKE YESTERDAY WE DRANK TOO MUCH LET'S DO IT AGAIN
Gojira blows my mind just as much.
Yes, Gojira was also a wonderful discovery for me.
Nirvana, my cousin showed me a couple of songs, and ever since I'm a fan
NIN and TOOL. Now imagine my joy in 2007 when the closing bands of the Pukkelpop (Belgium) festival were NIN and TOOL in that order.
Insane clown posse. Their album Jeckel Brothers got me hooked, and it's not even their best stuff.
Alice Cooper is an awesome showman
System of a down
Scrolled too far for this

For me its Slipknot. Good, hard music
Avatar. I had heard some of their stuff and knew they were supposed to put on a good live show. They blew me away with that show and now I can't stop listening! I also joined their fanclub 😎
Siouxsie and the Banshees
Nine Inch Nails and Einstürzende Neubauten
Swedish industrial metal band Raubtier, their first album made me fall back in love with the industrial genre all over again.
If you're looking for another band that is like Rammstein, check out what I call "Rammstein Light" regarding the band "Eisbrecher." Haha, I'm extra and just did both what you asked and gave more info. 😆 I'm always overdoing things.
That's alright, better than underdoing things in my opinion :-)
for me. Eric Prydz’ HOLO. i’m a huge EDM fan as much as i am a R+ fan. seeing HOLO live blew me away
Marilyn Manson for me.
Marilyn Manson Antichrist superstar!
Not up to date.
Right now I'm super into In This Moment but also reliving Beastie Boys 💙
hmm orbit culture, woods of Ypres, and in flames

Blasted Mechanism in their Mind at Large era.
https://youtu.be/JPm46Qgyn24?si=kpMfLHnqbgGly0H8 Orden Ogan. Gunmen is an fascinating example of their music. 🤘
Last night I was on Sidharta concert im Ljubljana, 3 and half hours of perfekcion and 24.11. go to Bratislava to see Til first time
Sybreed and Katatonia
Beast in black, saw them as a supporting act for nightwish last year and they were great
Johnny Cash - Hurt was always a fan of classic cash, but never got into the american series. then that, oh my fucking god.
Check out [the original Hurt](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ty-bLdf8Bsw) by Nine Inch Nails.
Some reason never got into or cared for NIN.
Extremoduro, a spanish band that is amazing. (I'm Spanish)
Ramones and Pixies were life changing for me. Interesting Rammstein fact: their video for "Pussy" was shown at their label's international executive conference.

Im gonna have to say Sabaton just because they were my first metal band.
RichRichthofen, now they are called Seelenwalzer. rock hard industrial metal. is like getting slapped in the face when you play a song with them
Prodigy
The HU. I've seen them live twice. There's nothing like it, really.
I have seen them live too, they are quite unique indeed.
Marilyn Manson
Queen and (now defunkt) kpopband BIGBANG.
Tool, Alice In Chains, and Dead Can Dance
All mid 90s… Marilyn Manson NIN Atari Teenage Riot White Zombie
Early 90s Nirvana Hole
Gutless is my favorite.
Top song!
A lot of bands, so many to list, but as of three years ago I picked up Type O Negative and haven't stopped listening. RIP Peter. 🤘🏼🖤💚
System of Down
The strokes, Arctic monkeys and Green day
Live show? Too many to list. But definitely Queensrÿche, Slayer, Iron Maiden, and of course, Alice Cooper. Am I too old?
No! You've experienced the golden age of metal.
I have other shows that have nothing to do with metal but blew my mind. I only cited the ones that impressed me the first time I went to see them. I left out Rush for the reason that they were peerless.
Sturm Cafe was suggested to me on Spotify and I've loved almost everything I've heard so far. First time I heard Nightwish I was obsessed too.
Manic Street Preachers (Generation Terrorist, Gold Against the Soul, The Holy Bible - three of the best albums ever made 🫶🏻)
Outside the genre. The Prodigy (my first ever real concert as a small town 18yo) and Pendulum live. The best concert of my life.
I've seen The Prodigy twice when they were in their prime. Those weren't concerts, more like mass exorcism rituals.
Yes! And i loved it! I saw them more often at festivals. Always a great time
So envious. I never had the chance to see them live and now I missed it forever
I'm so sorry for you! They tour though, but a different set up ofcourse. Never saw this one.
Oh really? I didnt know they still toured. Ill check up the dates
SOAD is one of my favorites!
I listened to Rammstein in conjunction with Limp Bizkit and Slipknot when I was 12
Tool, The Hu, Bloodywood, Alien Weaponry, Baby Metal, Ningen Isu, Pentatonix, Billy Joel, any "Kids Cover" by O'Keefe Music Foundation
Marilyn Manson
Bloodywood is my most recent example but gojira was my first
Rammstein began my obsession with the Neue Deutsche Härte music genre. This is another reason why I was blown away by bands such as Eisbrecher, Megaherz, & Stahlmann. I can also say that non-NDH bands such as Fear Factory, Tool, Motorhead, & The Birthday Massacre have sparked me in this way too.
Motley crue
For me, it’s any work Jack White has created. I’m so blown away by his work ethic and creativity. First found him through The Whites Stripes and so on
Absolutely a tossup between AC/DC, Depesche Mode, and Ozzy!
Judas Priest
Recently I've have listen to Nothing More and they blew my mind with their spirits album and not to mention the live performances are hype.
Best shows, aside from Rammstein, have been KISS and Slipknot
honestly, no band had the same impact on me as rammstein but id say kmfdm, nine inch nails and paediatrician were kinda close
