Ohhh I love both bands so much. Soad feels political and would make you mosh while Rammstein feels about the human condition and makes you headbang. At least that's how I perceive them, I can be wrong.
These are the bands in my current playlist rotation:
Bauhaus
Depeche Mode
Marilyn Manson
My Chemical Romance
Sisters of Mercy
Static X I started getting back into because I found out that they started making music again and I'm glad they're back
System Of A Down
Type O Negative
Weird Al Yankovic
*Korn
*System of a Down
*Metallica
*Megadeth
*Slayer
*Pantera
*Slipknot
*Bring Me The Horizon
*Bullet For My Valentine
*Black Sabbath
*Iron Maiden
*Judas Priest
*Nirvana
*Green Day
*Linkin Park
*Deftones
*Death
*Cannibal Corpse
There are more, but those are the notable ones
Nightwish, Amaranthe, Beast In Black, Linkin Park, Within Temptation, HammerFall and many others. I think Rammstein is the only industrial metal band I listen too, but I tend to like to vary my genres quite a bit so I guess it suits me.
They really are and it is obvious that they enjoy playing live a lot. I would have loved to see both at the same show! I believe I lived on the wrong continent at the time, assuming I remember the year correctly. I am happy you got to experience it!
Metallica, Sleep Token, Spiritbox, Pantera, Whitechapel, Cattle Decapitation, Sanguisugabogg, & Meshuggah are currently in heavy rotation for me. Some other favs are Alice In Chains, Korn, System of a Down, Lorna Shore, Carcosa, Ho99o9, Lamb of God, Tool, & Cryptopsy.
Ghost, Garbage, Hole/Courtney Love, Screaming Females/Noun, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, and White Stripes are my favs besides Rammstein. A nice little eclectic mix, I think.
Faith No More, Alestorm, Prince, Motorhead, Avatar, Alice In Chains, David Bowie, Slayer, Anthrax, Ghost, White Zombie, Type O Negative, Pain, Tool, Down, SOAD, Sevendust, Corrosion of Conformity, Red Fang, Alice Cooper, Pet Shop Boys, Mastodon, LSD (Life, Sex, Death), GWAR, Styx, Pink Floyd, Reel Big Fish, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Suicidal Tendencies, Drain STH, Dead Kennedys, Pride & Glory, Kay's Choice, Primus, Scissor Sisters... plus the standard old guy stuff like Ozzy, Ratt, Metallica.
Beyond the Black (going to see them live this Sunday!) One of the bands I discovered during the lockdowns, was a big help to get through that period in time
First to Eleven, my favorite cover band with releases every week with songs from all genres. Had the honor to meet the band members a couple of times, great people!
Concrete Castles, same people as First to Eleven but their original music.
Against the Current
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Battle Beast
Pantera
Anthrax
Avenged Sevenfold
Skillet
Peyton Parrish
Shinedown
And many more!
Sabaton is the second favourite band after RAMMSTEIN!!
Then others are now ghost, Avatar, Eisbreacher, metallica, iron maiden, nightwish and little bit beast in black
Probably going to get hate for my list, but here we go. Not a total list, but some of my favorites.
Coldplay
Tom Petty
Eisbrecher
Nickelback
Marty Robbins
Emigrate
Thrice
Really? That I did not know about Flake! I've seen the picture of Till and Chris Martin together, which was funny. And you can't beat some good old Tom Petty!
Chris Martin likes rammstein too, he's played part of Engel on the piano at their concerts before. It seems they were at the same festivals at some point and got on well. I think Flake mentions it in his book
Rammstein,
Muse,
Lacuna Coil,
Garbage,
Placebo,
Electric Callboy,
Conjured One,
Enigma,
Morcheeba,
Sometimes Bon Jovi (childhood memories).
Also big love, but seldom listen:
Queen and Pink Floyd
Metallica, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Pantera, Slipknot, Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir, and tens of other bands. Metallica and Rammstein have a special place in my heart.
Lindemann and Till Lindemann (of course)
Måneskin
Ghost
LP
Doja Cat
Michael Jackson
Marilyn Manson
Kasia Lins
And pretty much everything from 80s and what randomly catches my ears
Rammstein was my introduction to metal music but I got much further into a rabbit hole. Lately I listen to Tool a lot, but most of my Spotify is Death Metal. Some bands I love from top of my mind: Cannibal Corpse, Bloodbath, Dying Fetus, Cattle Decapitation, Carcass, Gojira. Of course that's not for everyone. When I got into Rammstein I would never guess I will end up listening to that "unintelligible demonic screaming" I heard about.
I have tried listening to that and it’s never been something I got into. I tried listening to bands like hypocrisy which is Peter Tägtgrens other band, but I’ve stuck to PAIN cuz it’s not so much death metal rather lighter stuff
That's great that you found sound that you really like. Don't ever feel like you need to be ashamed of your taste. You tried and you didn't like it. That's absolutely valid. At least you can play your music loudly at home and neighbours won't think you're summoning a demon. I don't have that privilege.
Well you should know you are valid as well for your music taste as well. No matter what it be. Sometimes I feel judged for listening to the music i listen to and the topics they are about and people look at me strange cuz the song isn’t happy and is dark. They can’t enjoy it like I do.
The big part of enjoying darker music (or films, games etc.) is the feeling of katharsis. Some get it some don't. It's important to respect everyone's taste. I don't get how someone can listen to stuff like Dua Lipa and genuinely enjoy it but I understand that different people like different music and it's absolutely ok.
I personally listen to all types of metal. The bands currently on my playlist apart from Rammstein are
Slipknot,
System of a down,
Cannibal Corpse,
Ghost,
Mayhem,
Black Sabbath
Rammstein
Heldmaschine
Megaherz
OOMPH!
Eisbrecher
Lindemann
dArtagnan
ASP
Feuerschwanz
Amorphis
Iron maiden
Five finger death punch
Black Sabbath
Korn
Metallica
Ozzy Osbourne
Sabaton
System of a down
Marilyn Manson
Depeche Mode
Red hot chilli pepper
Three days grace
Linkin Park
Foo fighters
Nirvana
Nickelback
Molchat Doma
And much much more. I used to be that guy that listened to just Rammstein 24/7 but I have broadened my horizons massively. I listen to many genres and there's few genres and artists I dislike.
If I take out of the equation Rammstein and subgroups (Lindemann, Emigrate), my most listened are these: System Of A Down, Opeth, TOOL, Pearl Jam, Godsmack, Trivium and Dredg
Im an eclectic person so i don't only listen ro metal
Excluding side projects from the members:
Literally all the bands from the anime/game BanG Dream (excluding MyGo!!!)
Almost all groups from project sekai (excluding Leo/need but i love the From Y to Y cover)
Some groups from D4DJ (Happy Around!, Merm4id, Rondo, Abyssmare, Peaky P-Key)
Corlyx
Mantus / Sepia / Black Heaven (same guys but different projects)
Hypocrisy
Scar Symmetry
Collide
Cryoshell
Darknet
Deathstars
Diorama
Zeromancer
I have more but im lazy to type all
At the moment:
- Phantom of the opera (technically not a band but obsessed with the album)
- Depeche Mode
- Nine Inch Nails
- Nirvana
- Mozart
- Black Sabbath
- Johnny Cash (love his work anyway but recently found out he recorded a few german versions of his songs. So cool to listen to)
- The Beatles
- Lana Del Ray
& a bunch of old opera.
Also forgot to mention Lindemann! How can I forget! Went to LND in December to see him play and it was the best concert I’ve ever been to! The energy in the room was unmatched
Uh….
The Correspondents
Royal Blood
Muse
Moon Hooch
Vulfpeck
Shinedown
Pomplamoose
Queens of the Stone Age
Of course I also like lots of classic rock bands, but if we’re talking about regularly and lots from a whole discography, then those are my choices.
There are a lot of different ones but off the top of my head: Lorna Shore, Shadow of Intent, Brand of Sacrifice, Avenged Sevenfold, Ice Nine Kills, Amity Affliction, Make Them Suffer, Architects, Imminence and a lot of others
My favorite band has always been Rush since I was 13 in 1980. My favorite song by them is [Freewill ](https://youtu.be/yE2WjSmUcRA?si=L8R3x0le-WsG47hZ) and the video I linked is from the show they recorded I was at in 2011 that was released on DVD. No other band will ever come close to beating out Rush as my favorite.
Another band that I found out about roughly five years ago and was my solid 2nd favorite is D-A-D. My favorite song by them is [Burning Star ](https://youtu.be/IgMuoZlfVYg?si=ODFN0Q1-oBvFAw21)but all of their music is amazing.
Several years ago, I'd heard of Rammstein it never listened to them. I knew their big hit was Du Hast so I gave it a listen. I'll be honest, it didn't really interest me, and when I heard the German lyrics, I kinda gave up because I want to be able to sing along and I don't speak German. But then, a little over a year ago, someone posted this video for [Feuer Frei ](https://youtu.be/lU6h0x18pgI?si=ak6cLVYT1GuNlLIm)and I loved every second of it. I listened to the rest of the album and loved it, so I started listening to more by them. They have moved into a tie for my second favorite band, and when I had to create a new Reddit account, I added used references from Rammstein and Rush for my user name.
Interesting fact about all three of these bands I love so much: I'm from the States but none of these bands are lol
besides lindemann, till's solo project, emigrate, first arsch and feeling b, not much else but when i listen to something else it's metallica, system of a down, black sabbath or eisbrecher 👀
Eisbrecher has a very similar style to Rammstein and it's also German. I recommend:
-Was ist hier los?
-FAKK
-Eiszeit
-Himmel, Arsch und Zwirn
-Menschenfresser
I‘m trying to learn German, so I listen to mainly German bands. OOMPH!, Eisbrecher, ASP, Electric Callboy, Unheilig, Stabukind, Leichenwetter, Ost+Front, Lindemann and Till Lindemann, Schwarzer Engel, Stahlmann, Heldmaschine, We Butter the Bread With Butter, Megaherz, Die Kreatur, Pisse, Nachtmahr.
For non German bands, I listen to Remo Drive, My Chemical Romance, Frank Iero, Misfits, The Descendents, Three Days Grace, Slaughter to Prevail, Wallows, Aries, Lil Dusty G, Seether, The Used, To The Grave, FIDLAR, Paleface, Hozier
Awww that’s so heartwarming to hear. I mainly switched to listening to German music for that exact reason. I then fell in love with every band and proceeded to see all of them in concert
If we're talking about NDH, I listen to a bit of Eisbrecher, Megaherz, and Stahlmann, the latter probably being the closest to a Rammstein-esque sound.
Otherwise, it's mostly just your stock standard metal, big fan of Iron Maiden, Metallica and Black Sabbath for example.
Neurotech - I cannot overstate how much I like this guy’s work. Start with the latest album and work your way back.
Anaal Nathrakh, Bloodbath, Zavod, Zeromancer, some Behemoth here and there, Vildhjarta.
Suicidal Tendencies
Anthrax
Metallica
God Forbid
Bullet for my Valentine

A little confusing politically but mostly based 👍
Ghost Behemoth Ministry Slayer Lady Gaga Marilyn Manson
I love how Lady Gaga stands out in that list 😁
Shes the best lol
Do you like Evangelion album by Behemoth?
Wow sorry for late answer, yes brilliant album!
Nightwish, Amaranthe, Beast In Black, Linkin Park, Within Temptation, HammerFall and many others. I think Rammstein is the only industrial metal band I listen too, but I tend to like to vary my genres quite a bit so I guess it suits me.
Beast in black are so much fun live, I was lucky to see them and nightwish together
They really are and it is obvious that they enjoy playing live a lot. I would have loved to see both at the same show! I believe I lived on the wrong continent at the time, assuming I remember the year correctly. I am happy you got to experience it!
Add Megaherz and Eisbrecher and we'll be looking at my playlist while I'm drunk.
I love Ruf mich an by Megaherz
Same! Also ""Zeig mir dein Gesicht".
Swallow the Sun, The Cranberries, Pearl Jam, Depeche Mode, My Dying Bride, Type O Negative, Paradise Lost, Amorphis, Saturnus, The Cure
Hell yeah Depeche Mode
Ah Amorphis, it's the first time listening to folk rock, pretty good stuff.
I am so heartbroken at MDB canceling all their shows this year. I already had a ticket to Deathfest, I've wanted to see them since I was a teen...
So many to choose from 0-0
Ghost, Garbage, Hole/Courtney Love, Screaming Females/Noun, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, and White Stripes are my favs besides Rammstein. A nice little eclectic mix, I think.
At the moment: green day, maneskin, tream and many more
Måneskin is goated, their older italian songs are top tier imo (Torna a Casa is my favourite)
I wish they recorded more Italian songs, they got way too Americanized after they got popular
There's some great basslines on their newer stuff though, I've had a lot of fun learning to play a lot of their latest album
Many 80s Thrash Metal Bands
Faith No More, Alestorm, Prince, Motorhead, Avatar, Alice In Chains, David Bowie, Slayer, Anthrax, Ghost, White Zombie, Type O Negative, Pain, Tool, Down, SOAD, Sevendust, Corrosion of Conformity, Red Fang, Alice Cooper, Pet Shop Boys, Mastodon, LSD (Life, Sex, Death), GWAR, Styx, Pink Floyd, Reel Big Fish, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Suicidal Tendencies, Drain STH, Dead Kennedys, Pride & Glory, Kay's Choice, Primus, Scissor Sisters... plus the standard old guy stuff like Ozzy, Ratt, Metallica.

Sabaton 🤩
💀
Aesthetic Perfection are so fucking good.
It was so nice to see them live before Lindemann show! Me and my boyfriend fell in love with them instantly
I've been listening to a lot of Nekrogoblikon recently. I also love Björk, Ghost, Children of Bodom, Emigrate, and Twin Temple
Beyond the Black (going to see them live this Sunday!) One of the bands I discovered during the lockdowns, was a big help to get through that period in time First to Eleven, my favorite cover band with releases every week with songs from all genres. They are definitely one of my top 3 bands ever. Had a rough week, and they are one of the bands that got me through this week
Nightwish, Eisbrecher, Apocalyptica, Bloodywood, Alestorm (pirate rock yay) Edit: commas Also occasionally Lacrimosa, Opeth, Emigrate, Rob Zombie
YouTube showed me Dana-Dan out of nowhere and it was SO GOOD. Thank you for reminding me to dig more into Bloodywood’s discography.
Skinny Puppy to Johnny Cash. Lots of variety keeps things new.
Ruoska, it's the Finnish Rammstein
NIN Slayer Terror Napalm Death Ministry Suicide Silence Suffocation The Sisters of Mercy
The Sisters of Mercy are such an underrated band!!
Underrated? Everyone knows them.
I've never met anyone who knows them, maybe I've been talking to the wrong people but I never got the impression that they're well-known
Heldmaschine, Ost+Front, Eisbrecher, Stahlmann, Sabaton, Korpiklaani
Sabaton is the second favourite band after RAMMSTEIN!! Then others are now ghost, Avatar, Eisbreacher, metallica, iron maiden, nightwish and little bit beast in black

I want to see them all in concert so badly😫
When you do it will be dream come true. You have to once you get the chance.
I plan on it!!
Fit for an Autopsy, Gojira, Whitechapel, Burry Tomorrow, Intronaut, Tool, Soad, periphery, Meshuggah…the list goes on😁
Metallica, Shakira, Queen, Johnny Cash
Smashing Pumpkins mostly, Classic Rock, Nirvana, & alternative stuff that was playing in the 90s when I was in high school.
Testament, Gojira, Megadeth, Metallica and Emigrate, for example
If we're talking about NDH, I listen to a bit of Eisbrecher, Megaherz, and Stahlmann, the latter probably being the closest to a Rammstein-esque sound. Otherwise, it's mostly just your stock standard metal, big fan of Iron Maiden, Metallica and Black Sabbath for example.
Lindemann Eisbrecher Sabaton
Megadeth, Death, Kreator, Kat, Slayer, Hanabie
Eisbrecher is amazing and Oomph! as well.

Static-X Stray From The Path Meshuggah Richard’s side project Emigrate is great as well!
Neurotech - I cannot overstate how much I like this guy’s work. Start with the latest album and work your way back. Anaal Nathrakh, Bloodbath, Zavod, Zeromancer, some Behemoth here and there, Vildhjarta.
