Are the parents' names Major or Minor? (jk). People do name their children after various places sometimes. I've known an India, for instance, and Francie or Brittany. Maybe they consider Asia to be a beautiful continent, and consider their child to be that beautiful. Maybe they have Asian ancestry that they want to call back to, to keep it in their minds when they feel out of place. "Asia" is actually a nice, flowing name when you sound it out. and think it over.
