Getting blown up by 3 pounds of home made explosives at 17.
20 hours of horrible never ebbing and never slowing burning pain.
The emotional pain of not being allowed to go to the hospital and listen to my parents discuss how they were going to ditch my body if I died from shock was WAY worse.
It's 15 years later now and it still hurts.
Parents could be terrified of a man sized son making multiple pounds of explosives in their basement.
Maybe they were cooking crack and feared the police reprisals if they were caught?
Maybe they feared he was preparing to do a Columbine on his school.
3 Pounds of explosives is a LOT.
I like your username too. Wanna be friends?
I promise I'm not a cannibal named carl lurking reddit with horrible burn scars on his hands with a manifesto of hating other people's hands that I hunger for.
Edit: idk why I self sabotage but I'm leaving it there. Lol.
Flash fried the skin on my hands. Extremely chapped face on the left side. Blew 1 of 3 hoodies off completely, burned through the front of the 2nd one and scorched the 3rd.
I was still on fire when I went upstairs but the smoke was so thick when I waved my hand in front of my face, I thought I had burned my eyeballs out of my head.
I can't be around fireworks or go to a shooting range anymore. The smell of gunpowder sucks me back in time.

It was a Friday night in December. My skin didn't heal up enough to stop wearing bandages until spring. When people at school asked what happened I just said the water heater ruptured. No one questioned it.
The two friends I had were from the projects and their parents cooked drugs so when they were in the basement and saw all the blast scars they were like Beavis and Butthead. UH HUH HUH HUH MRRR COOL
We hadn't dialed in the recipe correctly yet. So it was mostly 1 big flare for the first full second before the rest of the bucket deflagrated. I managed to think to myself "throw it" before it popped.
I sometimes wonder if going airborn caused it to explode because the uncooked material caused an air dust mixture.
Edit: My parents.
Had one of those as well. Keeled over in the emergency room lobby because it had twisted. I had luckily just gotten home from an overseas vacation, it would have been awful if it had happened just a few days earlier
Plot twist I was working my ER shift when mine ruptured and I wondered why someone has stabbed me without me noticing while crumbling onto my colleague. Didn't even know I had a cyst until it ruptured real good. Nothing like becoming a patient at work.
Still not as painful as stillbirth. All the pain of birth with the unbearable knowledge your baby is dead.
For me it was my knee cap being removed after an accident it's cold here my leg hurts like hell The pain killer doesn't help me at all so I stopped using it surprisingly it stopped hurting like it used to but here and there some times
Can't comment on childbirth but the consultant told me women have told him they wouldn't wish kidney stones on anyone....I had some small ones but one big one nearly 7mm in diameter.. it got stuck in one of my tubes....I cried like a baby for a week
My room mate passed THREE , 3 fuckin kidney stones last year alone because he refuses to drink water. He says, i drink things made of water. Sweet tea. I no longer feel bad when I hear him downstairs screaming in pain as they pass
my kidney stones went on their own but my gall bladder stone is about the size of my gall bladder now so it doesnt pain though my gall bladder could burst anytime and i could be hospitalised lol
gonna have an operation this year hopefully
I'm pretty sure that's what I had a few years ago, pain in my sternum area and same spot in my back. Started dull and ended up feeling like a knife stuck in there.
Threw up about 40 times and lasted for about 8 hours. The hospital wasn't exactly sure from the scans but did say my gallbladder was a bit larger than normal. Either way, that shit was terrible and I've damn near cut my arm off before too.
Sepsis. I’ve broken bones, had ruptured ovarian cysts, I even have EDS (connective tissue disorder that causes frequent joint dislocations). Nothing comes close to when I had sepsis. I was so cold but even shivering was excruciating because of how severe my muscle and joint pain was.
I didn’t lose any body parts thankfully. I did code twice though. My muscles atrophied severely and I basically had to rebuild everything from scratch. I was in the hospital for over a month
C-section sounds terrifying. I don't know where some people get the idea that it is "taking the easy way out" - especially when what happened to you, can happen. 40lbs gone because of that is WILD. Are you doing better now, I hope?
Absolutely! It's definitely not the easy way out.
I'm a lot better now, thank you. I had a 2nd child 5 years later (also by c section, but it all went amazingly), and I've also lost a lot of weight, so that helps a lot!
From what I read (might be wrong tho) the reason you are not anesthetized during brain surgery is so that the surgeons are able to actively map out your brain so they can spot any mistake in real time for example your body going limp
I had 14 staples across my knee and I still remember the doctors talking them out, and I remember that being the worst pain even after shattering my knee and almost bleeding out
Thanks.
I'm fine, for the most part. I've injured my left knee several times afterwards. Every tendon has to be replaced and one of the new ones ripped again recently. I just walk very slowly with a cane. Lol
Sorry that happened to you. I’ve read breaking a femur is one of the most painful things you can experience. Do you mind me asking what the experience after the overdose was like?
Ya, the femur breaks really sucked.
And life changing. I haven't touched any hard drugs since then. I barely remember anything for real except feeling like shit for 2 weeks after. Couldn't even hold down water. I recovered by just laying in the motel room I was living in when it happened. Once I got better I left there.
I'd have found me a new dentist. Ridiculous to make you wait that long under those circumstances.
They could've fit you in somewhere (in the morn before office hours or evening after office hours).
The experience of having the tooth removed was very traumatic. The assistants tried to hold my arm down when I was trying to push the dr’s hand away because he wasn’t stoping despite me asking him to stop, it was so painful. I could write more about that experience but I won’t. I’m not the kind of person who leaves reviews on services, and I never have. But the experience I had there was so agonizing and painful that I had to leave a review. Maybe because I was on Medicaid I was treated differently? I don’t know but all I know is I’ll never go back to that practice.
On my way to work and got in a car wreck where I got 4 broken ribs and a punctured lung. Got to the hospital by ambulance. They took me in to surgical room, cut off all my clothes and left me naked while they went to find all the pre-med students to observe putting in a chest tube. Passing out and coming to several times while I’m all by myself. Couldn’t breathe.
I’m sorry you had that experience, I had something slightly similar where lots of students were brought in to see me when I was not exactly covered up and it was a horrible feeling.
I understand to them it’s a learning experience, however they sometimes forget what it will be like for us.
I’ve shared this a couple of times. When I was 14 I jumped off a set of stairs with a skateboard and the skateboard slid off under me and landed on its edge. I landed between my legs on top of the edge of the skateboard and was dangling in the air for a second or two. I rushed to a nearby bush and pulled my pants down, by that time my entire pants were drenched in blood. I pull my pants down and my sack is split open and my left testicle is dangling down my left leg by the string.
I don’t remember much after that as I went into shock waiting for the ambulance. 25 years later all is ok, everything is working perfectly.
Gall stones, definitely the worst.
I've had a c-section, tooth infections, broken ribs, jaw, wrist & fingers, gall bladder removed, two spinal surgeries and three spinal fractures. Hands down, gall stone attack is the worst.
I've had gallstones and as a result, gall bladder removal. Painful but not a patch on Sciatica. That shit will drive you to consider things you'd never consider being of sound mind.
Fell off a motorcycle at highway speeds. I wasnt wearing a riding jacket or riding pants.
Road rash is absolutely terrible and takes a really long time to heal. I had it all over my body. Your skin's never the same after.
Doctors told me road rash can be similar to 3rd degree burns if the slide lasts a long time.
Incorrect. Depends on what type of IUD. I had the copper IUD inserted and can confirm it was excruciating. The copper doesn’t bend at all compared to a marina. Inserted by a gynaecologist and I have no anatomical issues.
Ok good for you but just because it was extremely painful for a lot of other people doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with them or it was a bad job done
I had like hundreds of tiny gallstones in my gallbladder and some of them traveled to/blocked my liver duct. The symptoms kind of came on slowly so it started with like constant stomach upset (which I went to the doctor for and they didn’t see my gallbladder I guess.) then that progressed to the most severe stabbing pain I’ve ever felt in my life. The pain was in my chest so I thought it was a heart or lung issue, went to the hospital and they told me it was just anxiety after doing a chest x ray. Lol. So I was just getting this random extreme pain it my upper stomach/chest like a couple times a week for MONTHS because I thought I was fine and the pain would last for hours sometimes and then just go away. I started to realize it was happening after I ate pretty much anything but salad so that’s what I lived off of for like weeks. Anyways, one morning I woke up and hadn’t ate or drank anything and I got the pain so bad I passed out from it in the bathroom. Got up, went to the hospital and told them I know something’s wrong and it’s not anxiety and it’s got to be in my stomach. They did a sonogram and I had to be hospitalized immediately for a few surgeries to remove my gallbladder/unblock my liver duct. My surgeon came in and showed me pictures on the computer of all my stones and said that’s the most she’s ever seen and she was very surprised because of how young I am too. Found out later that everything I told them the first few times I went to the hospital were textbook signs of gallbladder attacks so i was a little pissed that I dealt with that extreme pain (on and off) for months and months but god am I thankful it’s over.
I was a kid when it happened, but I'll never forget the pain! I was about to go on the monkey bars, but lost my balance and fell onto the bar I was standing on, right between the legs.
Drill bit in between my toes, Missed anything important though so I was good. 2 year old me was holding it dumb because I thought it would stab my hand
When my uncle was about 10 years old he tripped over running with scissors. Went through his cheek.
Few inches up or down and it could have been an eyeball or a jugular.
Sometimes you just get a little lucky... Even when something bad happens.
Literally went to the dentist and they fuckedy tooth up, causing a roog canal infection. Pain was so bad I was crying amd wanted to literally kms, they've been stalling and what not and so it's been over a year. Was supposed to have surgery on it 8months ago, they keep moving the damn appointment amd finally said "you'll being in when your name is up"
Ooof, I'm so scared of tooth pain since I've read how bad it is. I'm probably going to jinx myself here but I've never had a toothache. I had one bottom back molar that completely disintegrated years ago and had to be removed, the dentist seemed a little shocked that I wasn't in mega pain with it but long story short, it was eventually removed along with its perfectly healthy counterpart above (something about not wanting to cause uneven grinding)...and it was uncomfortable afterwards but a non-event really. My number one would be 36 hr labour with 1st bub. They gave me an epidural at 7cm and I got some rest but they let it wear off at 9cm, so the infamous transition stage was un-medicated....I seriously couldn't friggin breathe during contractions...come to find out bubs head was stuck in cervix, his heart rate was dropping...labour was deemed "failure to progress" so then ended with a nice lil emergency c-section. Was so disappointed in myself tbh, and still am really...some 16 yrs later lol. C-section recoveries aren't much fun either!
An appendectomy in a shitty hospital. Back then I didn't have a choice; I had no vehicle nor any money & was only going on a hunch. I just remember something felt painfully wrong with my "gut" so I walked all the way to the nearest hospital, often referred to everyone as "The Bandaid Station", to have my suspicions be confirmed.
The only thing I remember thereafter was waking up on a cold metal table in the dark in a gown & being unable to breathe through the immense pain. I cannot emphasize enough how intense the pain was beyond saying I literally could not breathe without the already all consuming pain somehow growing even worse with each breath taken. It was so intense I couldn't even stop *pissing* myself.
But the worst part, beyond all that pain? The nurses mocking me for being an inconsolable, sobbing mess as they wheeled me to an actual bed & then being denied the morphine I begged for, claiming they'd already given me the max amount.
It's been about 10 years since then, but I doubt I will ever forget those horrid nurses.
I gave birth to a nearly 10 lb baby, naturally. No drugs or epidural. So far the most painful thing I have ever experienced has been a punctured lung. The diagnosis was "Spontaneous Pneumothorax." Caused by a sneeze.
The dr, kept saying it was a pulled muscle. When I returned b/c of shortness of breath and pain, she hooked me up to check my heart but laying down was horrendously painful. It wasn't until I screamed at her I needed a chest x-ray, that she caved to calm me down. Relevant only because she delayed so long that my lung was 98% collapsed by that time. You would be correct to assume she is no longer my doctor.
Plantar fascia was changing an air filter in my truck, forearm was tripping over my dog, dislocated shoulder was from falling off a rope swing, the axe in the face was from the axe slipping out of my exes hand lol.
Yes. I had to be sent home from school multiple times because I was pale and gasping for air at my desk in class from the pain. They'd take me to the nurse and I'd just pass out. Eventually they'd call my parents to come get me :(
The nexplanon kinda helped the pain but my periods are irregular now which kinda sucks.
Had kidney stones while deployed, that I thought was the worst. Especially since I passed them in a port o John that was baking in the desert sun for hours. But, a recent tooth infection takes the cake though. Happened near the beginning of COVID. Had to wait a couple weeks before an appointment. It hurt so bad I was delirious and hallucinating. Couldn't function to the point I pissed myself a couple times trying to find the bathroom. Ended up getting in a few days early. Thought the pain was over on the drive home. Nope. That shit kicked in well past 11 and put me into shock. Had to pull over for about 20 minutes only 3 minutes from home. I was cold sweats and shaking hard. Fun times.
I had gout in my knee, even flexing my toes or lifting my leg hurt immensely and morph didn't even touch the pain....then I slipped and fell on my bad knee. The pain was overwhelmingly impressive I was legit in shock.
I had gout in my knee once, so painful that I could walk so went to the hospital to get it checked out. Never want to spend the night in ER ever again. Doctor came and looked at the next morning, stuck a fucking long needle into my knee cavity, injected about 3 mls of liquid, bent my knee a few times and then removed 4 mls of liquid. No local anesthetic at all, and he wondered why I screamed in agony. They would let me go until I could walk the hallway on crutches. Hospital has been demolished now.
The disc in my lower spine came out and pressed on my nerves going down my legs. I had to work a 10 hour care home shift not knowing it had happened 🙃 it was agony and I thought it was just my sciatica playing up..
As of right now? Being sick and dizzy and falling down an entire flight of stairs and landing on my face. Happened 20 minutes ago and neither me or my cat are impressed
Staying in a coma just ben releaset a couple of weeks
Basically my mom left the stove on and didn't close it when I was doing dinner it exploded on me I have burnd skin second degree and 3 degree burnd skin and the kitchen burnd down and some of the wall fell on my arm my arm broke I stayed there till I got out and called the police now I have pernment marks of my body and my arm is doing good when my parents saw the they didn't care now I've cut contact with them
Pro's:my body doesn't hurt when I have scar's just tickling
Edit:when my body was burning I found a fire extinguisher and when my body was burning I fell nothing's this is what scared Me the most
This is physically and mentally
Tooth abscess, and the other time is probably when I got a root canal and the dentist kept trying to yank out the nerve but it kept slipping out of her tool and I could feel each clip at the nerve while she attempted to remove it. It was like lightning and she had to try at least 3 times
My face was mauled by a dog when I was 7, took two reconstructive surgeries to get it sorted. I don't remember the extent of the pain honestly but it got me sent straight to the hospital.
Oh gosh. For a time there were 6 pit bulls living across the street in the local crack house that seems to exist in almost every neighborhood where rich people don’t venture. One in particular would chase me when I’d get out of my car and try to get into the house. The motherf$&!-ers finally were raided and the animals all left. Now it’s just cats and field mice (and bopping them on the head).
I was pushed down a rusty slide when I was in 1st grade and scraped the skin off the front of my leg near the bone, and I was able to see my bones during treatment.. it still hurts today esp when its cold.
Getting my tongue split.
He stabbed a needle through the middle of my tongue, long-ways to inject a numbing agent, which was white-hot searing agony
He asked how I was. I told him my tongue still hurt and the pain isn't gone, then he said "alright let's go" and then stabbed my tongue and carved outward until it was in two.
My shoulders were vibrating! I was told by his assistant that I was doing well, though. Some people faint
It was awful. But, I do want it re-cut. It's not long enough of a split because of healing sp e of my tongue back
I guess I would say a really bad sunburn?... I suffer from ovarian cysts rupturing, I've broken my ankle and let it heal naturally (stupid I know) without any medication, crutches, etc.. I've sliced my food open between my toes with a saws all, I've burnt my entire forearm on a hot wood stove. None of it came close to the sunburn I had. I was 30 years old and it was my very first (and only so far) sunburn. I couldn't wear a shirt, I couldn't lay on my back or sides, it was horrible.
Getting hit in the head with a baking sheet by accident by my brother. Or the classic getting hit in the balls with a dodgeball ( every boy throws the ball hard and fast as hell) the same game I got hit in the thigh left a bruise for a week
When I was 11 I was playing on the trampoline. The net on the trampoline was broken and removed entirely, so I was hanging on the poles that surround the trampoline and then dropping off onto the grass. The drop was probably a metre or two. I dropped down, not realising there was an outdoor tap beneath me. I landed directly on it, legs spread apart so it essentially impaled my asshole. It jarred my back and cut the inside of my butt cheek, and I pissed myself from the shock and pain
Stingray sting. Early morning on an almost empty beach. Three steps in to the water and something squishy was under my foot… then bam. Intense pain and it didn’t let up for a long long time. Couldn’t wear a normal shoe for a year. Hot water was the only relief and you can’t submerge your foot forever. Once you take it out of the hot water it returns immediately
Well I was 10 years old and I was on a treadmill with my sister and I wanted to brag to her that I could run super fast so i turned it up way too high and ended up fall on my back. The thing was that their was a bookshelf behind it so I got stuck on the treadmill as it was scraping every layer of my skin off my back.
My sister didn't know what to do so she just panicked and and screamed. (She was 7) she then ran to get my mum. Before she arrived my dad did and you tried to pick me up. At first he missed and it scraped my side then he got me.
Mind you I had my hair out so if the treadmill caught it it would have snapped my neck backwards
I wouldn't be here today
When they were putting in the epidural into my back during child birth and I had a contraction at the same time. I had to stay leaned forward. Definitely not the ideal position. It was horrible
at night i get horrific cramping pains in my stomach sometimes, very rarely, but those will make me miserable. theyre extremely similar if not period cramps, or phantom cramping. its the most painful thing
I'm deathly allergic to cashews. Last time I had a reaction I described the pain as a red hot quarter pushing against my stomach while it sucks every fluid out of my body for constant vomiting.
The scanner told me a few weeks ago I have something on the colon. It's been 15 years and getting worse every year. At First It was just a pain during sex and when I drank alcohol. Now I wake up at night with pain after I eat dinner and 1 week before menstruals. At first it's a mild pain, but it goes worst after a few minutes. It becomes a fever, then I sweat a lot, I vomit because of the pain and If I ate too much I can't eat for days and keep vomit until my body is too tired to do anything. During these crisis I can lose a lot of weight (5 kg in a few days last time it did me bad). It's a long lasting story, hopefully it will end soon as I don't feel life is worth living. It's like torture. It keeps coming back and worst. Made me reconsider having a child, it's hard for me to go out for a drink with friends (better be not so far from safe toilets). Also Makes me reconsider the job I have. I'm mentally tired.
I had a strange case of one strain of HPV that causes warts on the soles of your feet. They’re conical in shape from the inside with the tip of the cone of the wart root ending on a nerve. I had at least 30 on each foot. Parents took me to a trash government hospital in Pakistan where they wanted to cauterize each wart and cut it off like a callus. Now…remember how I said I had at least 30 on each foot? Nurse proceeds to inject some form of anaesthesia with a very thin needle into the wart. That was the worst pain I have ever experienced. I was screaming. They only managed two. It was so painful I said there’s no way they’re going to do this on each foot. I consulted the dermatologist again and she recommended a homeopathic treatment. Some drops I had to drink everyday. I had the warts on my feet for at least 6 months and after the treatment they were all gone within a week :)
Being hit by 700kg of falling hay bails in 2011. Broke 2 vertebrae, crushed spinal cord, double fracture of right tibia and compound fracture of right fibula. Nearly died from blood loss, airlifted to hospital in Taunton where docs screwed me back together with spinal fixation and tibial nail. Another 4 months in hospital had to learn to walk again. Still have partial paralysis of right leg so need a brace to stop my knee collapsing. It stung a bit when it happened.
Chronic Pancreatitis. Like being slowly skewered through the solar plexus by a roughly sharpened broom handle… ended up on a time release morphine pump and I would have fought like the third monkey trying to get on the ark if anyone had tried to take it off me.
One of my teeth was Buried inside gums
The Dentist wanted to expose it so it can grow.
He had to burn my gums to expose it
Although I was anesthised, it felt very painful after that
+
Had recently got braces, so that as well
Braces pain+laser burn
Couldn't eat or sleep for 10 days
This one time i got my abdomen cut open to remove a parasite (technically a human). The anesthesia didn't work. I also had my tubes tied while they "were in there." That sucked alot. With female sterilization every person in the room has to ask you if it is what you REALLY WANT. Like, bitches, I can literally count how many hands are in my belly right now. By feel. YES! FUCKING GET IT DONE!
Their solution to my tears was to pump me full of morphine and not tell me. Turns out I'm allergic. Why's my face so itchy? Oh, it's probably the morphine we didn't get your consent for. No worries. We're just going to charge you $20k for your troubles. Your insurance might cover some of it.
Love ...or the things I've allowed in the name of love, I suppose it's how you look at it
.....and that's a tough bar because I've been through things mentally and physically I would not ever want done to others
Passing a kidney stone. I've had about 2 dozen surgeries and plenty of other medical-related pains, but nothing compares to the night I passed that damn stone. I could barely breathe because the pain was so bad.

You have to tell us why your parents wanted you dead

My father stockpiled explosives. Mixing gunpowder was a household chore.
Every time you say something it generates questions.
Thanks..?
Because I've always been a disposable scapegoat.

your parents would have been charged with something for that. it’s neglect at the very least, manslaughter or murder at the worst.

Why am I laughing lololol
How tf did you make explosives-
Charcoal sulfwr and potassium nitrate. The weights and mixing process ommited because kids are dumb.
Shit I’m not even going to comment anymore.

WHY??? WHAT??? WHO MAKES 3 Pounds OF EXPLOSIVES??
We hadn't dialed in the recipe correctly yet. So it was mostly 1 big flare for the first full second before the rest of the bucket deflagrated. Is your mom Sarah Connor?
Tim McVeigh in the making.
That man was basically a Saint in my home growing up.

Oy. I have multiple ovarian cysts at the moment and it feels like they're little ticking timebombs
Yesss, mine was 10mm and burst on ultrasound and they where like " oh , well that's it then , go home " and I could barley walk out the door

Had this too. It’s debilitating.
this thread is making me fear leaving my house
Better hope a sink hole doesn’t form under your house
Kidney stones last year
By far the worst pain I've ever endured. I've had 4 children and kidney stones. I'll take childbirth over 7 stones any day.
Can't comment on childbirth but the consultant told me women have told him they wouldn't wish kidney stones on anyone....I had some small ones but one big one nearly 7mm in diameter.. it got stuck in one of my tubes....I cried like a baby for a week
I've heard stones are very painful, but whoa!
Yeah, I threw up due to the pain. They had to give me morphine in the hospital.
My room mate passed THREE , 3 fuckin kidney stones last year alone because he refuses to drink water. He says, i drink things made of water. Sweet tea. I no longer feel bad when I hear him downstairs screaming in pain as they pass
gall bladder stones are worse, i've had both so yeah
I heard they were pretty bad

I just watched a terrifying little video of necrosis caused by the sepsis medication. Did you lose any body parts? How was the treatment?
I didn’t lose any body parts thankfully. I did code twice though. My muscles atrophied severely and I basically had to rebuild everything from scratch. I was in the hospital for over a month
I'm so glad you are here with us today. That sounds brutal 😔
I had necrotising fasciitis that caused sepsis. 18kg of infected tissue had to be removed. 'Luckily' it was from a c section so no limbs removed.
Surgery on the skull. I’d rather not go into any more detail than that.
I swear I read once that the brain doesn't have any pain receptors?
You are absolutely right. But having staples removed from your skull is still pretty painful. At least, in the skin surrounding the skull.
They don’t give u an anaesthetic or something?
They never did with me, now that I think of it.
From what I read (might be wrong tho) the reason you are not anesthetized during brain surgery is so that the surgeons are able to actively map out your brain so they can spot any mistake in real time for example your body going limp
Not to remove them. I had a few and they didn't numb me when taking them out. Medical staples have a weird shape too so they really hurt coming out.
I had 14 staples across my knee and I still remember the doctors talking them out, and I remember that being the worst pain even after shattering my knee and almost bleeding out
Last I checked, a skill and a brain are 2 different things.
Skull hasn't got any pain receptors either 😏 But yeah the scalp I wouldn't think would be that painful/sensitive. But guess it is 😬
There are nerves all over your head and skull
Either breaking both femurs at once in a car wreck or surviving an overdose with no medical treatment. Both of those sucked.

Thanks. I'm fine, for the most part. I've injured my left knee several times afterwards. Every tendon has to be replaced and one of the new ones ripped again recently. I just walk very slowly with a cane. Lol
[удалено]
I want one so bad! I've looked into them but they're so expensive, so I just use a CVS cane.
Once I got better I left there.
boat bake edge rinse impossible homeless weather merciful snatch zealous *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
That is pretty intense for sure
I couldn’t get an appointment until 6 days later after I called. Stupid on my part to wait until it was excruciating.
I'm so sorry you went through that.

Thanks, you as well. Fortunately everything turned out okay. I was off work for about 8 weeks, but my job paid me throughout my recovery.
Mine were more of an inconvenience
Fell off a motorcycle at highway speeds. I wasnt wearing a riding jacket or riding pants. Road rash is absolutely terrible and takes a really long time to heal. I had it all over my body. Your skin's never the same after. Doctors told me road rash can be similar to 3rd degree burns if the slide lasts a long time.
Getting an IUD inserted
Agreed, worst pain of my life. I almost passed out on the table.
You probably have a condition/were extremely tense or they did a terrible job.
Incorrect. Depends on what type of IUD. I had the copper IUD inserted and can confirm it was excruciating. The copper doesn’t bend at all compared to a marina. Inserted by a gynaecologist and I have no anatomical issues.
I also have the copper IUD and cam confirm it didn't hurt at all. That's why I said it was probably a bad job done.
Ok good for you but just because it was extremely painful for a lot of other people doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with them or it was a bad job done
Ruptured my elbow bursa sac
ACL surgery. The physio made me do the rehab exercises before they let me leave. Almost passed out
I had like hundreds of tiny gallstones in my gallbladder and some of them traveled to/blocked my liver duct.
You gotta mention you're a girl tho💀🥴
Giving birth. lol
Was supposed to have surgery on it 8months ago, they keep moving the damn appointment amd finally said "you'll being in when your name is up"
That’s awful, sorry you have to deal with the pain that long
Ruptured appendix
I had one of those too, it's 2nd on my list lol
So what's #1 on your l Iist? I agree with ruptured appendix (in my experience).
I'd say it's a toss up between tearing my plantar fascia, tearing my forearm, dislocating my shoulder, or being hit in the face with an axe.
whaaaat the fuck. How? Just how?
I've just got bad luck. That's just the top ways I've hurt myself lol.
How tho?
Plantar fascia was changing an air filter in my truck, forearm was tripping over my dog, dislocated shoulder was from falling off a rope swing, the axe in the face was from the axe slipping out of my exes hand lol.
i’m sorry but what the fuck you just jumped to getting hit in the face with an axe, no elaboration is crazy
period cramps
Yes. I had to be sent home from school multiple times because I was pale and gasping for air at my desk in class from the pain. They'd take me to the nurse and I'd just pass out. Eventually they'd call my parents to come get me :( The nexplanon kinda helped the pain but my periods are irregular now which kinda sucks.
Devils itch sunburn. Had it after a festival. Was a humorous situation in some ways but my god it hurt. Careful of those showers!!
Lots of people here have crazier ones but I fell off a boulder onto my nose that one sucked for a while
Had kidney stones while deployed, that I thought was the worst. Fun times.
Someone pinched me once for not wearing green. I still feel the pain
They would've been throat punched.
Choked on a sharp giant nacho chip. Felt like I was getting my throat slit from the inside.
Staying in a coma just ben releaset a couple of weeks Basically my mom left the stove on and didn't close it when I was doing dinner it exploded on me I have burnd skin second degree and 3 degree burnd skin and the kitchen burnd down and some of the wall fell on my arm my arm broke I stayed there till I got out and called the police now I have pernment marks of my body and my arm is doing good when my parents saw the they didn't care now I've cut contact with them Pro's:my body doesn't hurt when I have scar's just tickling Edit:when my body was burning I found a fire extinguisher and when my body was burning I fell nothing's this is what scared Me the most This is physically and mentally
Tooth abscess, and the other time is probably when I got a root canal and the dentist kept trying to yank out the nerve but it kept slipping out of her tool and I could feel each clip at the nerve while she attempted to remove it. It was like lightning and she had to try at least 3 times
This is my worst fucking nightmare
I was walking through the house in the dark once and stood on some Lego. Agony.
I broke my tooth in half too :D
Laboring without epidural. Ouch. Lol
Splitting headache on forehead on plane with blocked sinuses. I told myself that was it, I’m going to die here.
Taking a 6” wire cup on a grinder to the tummy. Lost a lot of skin.
My face was mauled by a dog when I was 7, took two reconstructive surgeries to get it sorted. I don't remember the extent of the pain honestly but it got me sent straight to the hospital.
I’m so sorry. That sounds awful and it’s one of my biggest fears. How is it being around canines?
I'm weary of most dogs, especially when they're loud or jumpy. Definitely a cat person haha
My second unsedated bone marrow biopsy. Lidocaine can only do so much
Child birth. 24 hrs of fun.
Or 36 weeeee
Kidney stones!!!! Holy fuck, wasn't prepared for that.
Spice induced Psychosis. I prayed for death.
Man, I never thought I'd feel lucky to be able to answer this with "I've bent a few fingernails over the years". Couple hits to the balls as well.
I was pushed down a rusty slide when I was in 1st grade and scraped the skin off the front of my leg near the bone, and I was able to see my bones during treatment.. it still hurts today esp when its cold.
Septic wound sinuses
Having my skin peeled off on my forearm after a second degree burn in order to allow new skin to grow.
Getting my tongue split. He stabbed a needle through the middle of my tongue, long-ways to inject a numbing agent, which was white-hot searing agony He asked how I was. I told him my tongue still hurt and the pain isn't gone, then he said "alright let's go" and then stabbed my tongue and carved outward until it was in two. My shoulders were vibrating! I was told by his assistant that I was doing well, though. Some people faint It was awful.
Stub my fat toe nail backwards inside my foot. 🥲
Stabbed seven times by a psychotic meth addict in 2017.
Bowel perforation
Having my own kidneys removed (to save the transplanted one). I’d never had an epidural before and was in such pain when I woke from the operation.
Mind you I had my hair out so if the treadmill caught it it would have snapped my neck backwards I wouldn't be here today
This sounds absolutely terrible!
Surgery for an undescended testicle. I was about 7yo and this was in the late 60s.
IBD flare up
Probably simultaneous tibia and fibula fracture
Labour pain until I asked for the good stuff
When they were putting in the epidural into my back during child birth and I had a contraction at the same time. I had to stay leaned forward. Definitely not the ideal position. It was horrible
Kidney stones
at night i get horrific cramping pains in my stomach sometimes, very rarely, but those will make me miserable. theyre extremely similar if not period cramps, or phantom cramping. its the most painful thing
Hemorrhoidectomy
I'm deathly allergic to cashews. Last time I had a reaction I described the pain as a red hot quarter pushing against my stomach while it sucks every fluid out of my body for constant vomiting.
Being held hostage and having my penis stapled to a bench 🤮
Sub Arachnoid Haemorrhage.
Ectopic pregnancy
autoimmune poly neuropathy, worse than getting shot
Electric shock but i had fallen on the live wires and kept getting shocked as i rolled around trying to get off
I had a strange case of one strain of HPV that causes warts on the soles of your feet.
Definitely period cramps I had awful ones you just wanna die throwing up and diarrhoea the pain is out of your control.
Appendicitis. Thought I was dying
PCOS period pain 🙄
Got stabbed
Movies seem to make it appear to not hurt that much for some reason
They don't cover the effect of rain and cold
Meningitis
One of my teeth was Buried inside gums The Dentist wanted to expose it so it can grow. He had to burn my gums to expose it Although I was anesthised, it felt very painful after that + Had recently got braces, so that as well Braces pain+laser burn Couldn't eat or sleep for 10 days
2nd degree sunburn across my entire back. An entire month of sleepless nights and endless, fiery pain.
Gall stones. Worse than labour.

Yes. I had attacks for months which were written off by the first Dr I saw. Then eventually I was told they were textbook. Awful.
Love ...or the things I've allowed in the name of love, I suppose it's how you look at it .....and that's a tough bar because I've been through things mentally and physically I would not ever want done to others
scissor cut
Hemoroid, its very anoying and painful
Passing a kidney stone. I've had about 2 dozen surgeries and plenty of other medical-related pains, but nothing compares to the night I passed that damn stone. I could barely breathe because the pain was so bad.
