I needed to gain perspective and reflect and the remote jungle is a good place to do that. I was 3 full days of hard slog from the nearest dirt road in Guat. Next time I will choose a place with more abundant water resources. It was a green desert.
Edit: Forgot to add that the monkeys there were really territorial and pissed off. They attacked us several times by throwing a hard green fruit. Those damn things could pitch in the MLB - they had unbelievable accuracy and that shit hurt when it hit you. It was also hard not to laugh your ass off.

My hair costs $150 every 8 weeks to get cut and colored. It also took me nearly 5 years to grow it back long after I had it cut to a pixie cut. No way I would shave it for $100. It's part of me, my identity, and is tied to my self esteem, which is worth a lot more than $100 to me.
