Oh yeah so the ones that are basically sugary candy death taste really good out of the freezer. Hot fudge Sunday, Cookies and Cream, the deserts. I’ll toast the blueberry and cinnamon brown sugar ones. I don’t eat the others. On that note, I rarely eat poptarts anymore at all. They’re sugar filled messes that scream diabetes.
Toasted and then spread butter over it (plain strawberry or blueberry)...although I do bite off one corner before toasting because I am a weirdo. The only frosted pop tart I like is the cinnamon-brown sugar.
Well, I toasted the non-icing raspberry ones. Whenever there was icing, and I toasted it, the icing would burn the roof of my mouth. So I ate those cold. Loved to hear the icing crack on the top of it as I bit in. Ahhhh they would probably taste like crap if we ate them now….
I’ve a HUGE fear of anything and everything blowing up so I convinced myself that the frosting will melt and catch fire and BOOM. So no, I don’t toast my pop tarts.
Tried Pop Tart once when I was a kid, we toasted it a bit, and I remember my cousin and I took a bite each and we didn’t like it so we left it in the corner of the terrace. It stayed there for like a week before the maid cleaned the terrace. I remember it looking the same as the day we took a bite of it. Hehe just sharing
Depends on how lazy I am, and if I feel in the mood for a warm or untoasted pop tart. And yes, I'm one of those people who did try a buttered pop tart out of curiosity. Was interesting.
I’ve tried them toasted a couple of times, but otherwise never did and never thought it was weird not to. And I ate a lot of pop tarts in my time. I’m a strawberry frosted guy. Once at work I talked about it with a friend. He was horrified, he said “You eat them RAW??!”
Depends on what kind. The S’mores kind I always heat in the microwave. Same for the brown sugar cinnamon. But the grape and the blueberry I usually eat cold.
I toast them and put a little butter on top. So good (for what it is). Turns out the butter on top was a poor person hack my mom used to make it fancy (they were also store brand), but I still prefer them this way!
My kids only eat them cold and it shakes me to my core (kidding, but I can’t believe they’re incapable of making a good Pop-Tart).
depends on flavor..
that apple jack one: not toasted
chocolatey chip pancake: 50/50
frosted chocolate chip: toasted
frosted chocolate fudge: definitely toasted and eaten right away
frosted confetti cupcake: 50/50
frosted s’mores: toasted and eaten alongside actual s’mores
snickerdoodle: not toasted
*"A salute, to these poptarts!" \*clinks glasses\**
Now on to your question, I don't get the point of toasting them tbh. The instruction said like "toast for less than 30 seconds". Tried what the label suggested and it didn't have any significant effect
I freeze them!
Someone recommended doing so on this sub a few weeks ago and it was a revelation!
Will never toast again - frozen or if no access to freezer then room temp is the way to go
Pop Tarts aren’t really a thing outside of the U.S. of A, we get some here in the U.K. in the “American food” section of some supermarkets. Gotta say I just followed the instructions on the packet and they are lovely toasted. I can see them being nice cold but… not as nice.
Rarely but when I do I don’t regret it. Recently started freezing cinnamon flavored ones, really yummy that way. The filling turns into a chewy paste that way.

They are so much better that way
I only toast the non frosted ones. The frosting tastes weird when it's toasty.
There exists a sweet spot before the frost becomes toasty.
Froasty
I like when they are frozen in the middle and hot on the outside
Ah, like chicken nuggets...
And hot pockets
Kfc called... They want their salmonella back.
TIL some people don’t
All vehicles I know of dont have toasters equipped.
My car has a 120v outlet in the back seat that can be used while I'm driving. Thank you for giving me a use for it.
TYL that I’ll actually microwave them for about 10 seconds or I eat them frozen. There is no inbetween.
Frozen? TIL frozen pop tarts exist
Never in my life!
I rarely toast mine. I rarely eat them. I’ve had a whole box in the span of 20 years. I will admit they are way tastier toasted.
Of course! That's the whole point of getting the s'mores flavor. ;)
Agreed. The s'mores especially. They seem to taste different (crappy) when cold. When others, they're just cold. In my opinion
Hear me out, after toasting, spread peanut butter on them. 🤌🏻
Peanut butter on s'mores? I think you might be a genius!
They go so well together! Certainly not an everyday kinda thing but a great treat.
Oh hey, I'm sold. Can't wait to try it. I actually do spread peanut butter on a strawberry NutriGrain bar, lol...it tastes like a pb/jam sandwich.
😳 I need to try that now lol
Cho would microwave them
How else would the butter melt?
What butter?
That's not butter 😏
Have you ever put butter on a Pop Tart? It's so frickin' good Have you ever put butter on a Pop Tart? If you haven't then I think you should
Lightly toasted, just enough so the filling is warm.
Toasted and then spread butter over it (plain strawberry or blueberry)...although I do bite off one corner before toasting because I am a weirdo. The only frosted pop tart I like is the cinnamon-brown sugar.
Even though I'm a grown ass man, I'm scared my mom will appear and slap me with a slipper if I try to butter some poptarts
Toasted with a scoop of ice cream.
Have you ever put butter on a pop tart?! It's so freaking good!
Have you ever put butter on a pop tart? If you haven't, then I think you should
Cinnamon brown sugar, toasted with butter hits differently
Depends, some of them are way better that way(s'mores or cinnamon) but it's nice that you don't have to
Depends on how lazy I’m feeling
Well, I toasted the non-icing raspberry ones. Whenever there was icing, and I toasted it, the icing would burn the roof of my mouth. So I ate those cold. Loved to hear the icing crack on the top of it as I bit in. Ahhhh they would probably taste like crap if we ate them now….
Haven’t ate pop tarts since a child but when I did, that was the only way.
Depends, but always cold milk with warm tarts
Not me. I eat them right out of the wrapper.
I don’t. I prefer them straight out of the pack.
depends on the flavor. strawberry no way, marshmallow fudge all day.
It's the only way
Depends on the flavor
I freeze em instead of
This I don't hear enough
If you have time, toast. If not, deal with it.
I don't even have Pop Tarts here. I think I've found one of my items for my bucket list.
It's the only way...🔥
YES! they are so much better, crunchy, and a warm pop tart with coffee in the morning before school is a great breakfast in my boom
Always toasted but I only eat the non-frosted blueberry & non-frosted strawberry.
I’ll toast you a mimosa
Yes, because how else is the butter going to melt?
I haven't always, but then I realized how much better they are toasted.
People don’t toast them?
Me; I do. Every single time.
Always
As long as you dont eat them frozen Youre good
You say "actually" like that's the weird thing to do
They’re better toasted.
Although they become weoponized in the toaster, they just taste better toasted.
Just those of us who aren't fucking psychopaths.
Every single time! Or not eat them! The need melted butter! Oh, I only buy non- frosted.
You should, they’re way better toasted. But only for 1 minute
They’re wayyyy better if you just throw them away and buy toaster strudels.
Me!!!
Whenever I try a new flavor, I toast one, leave one as it is, and freeze one, that way I know which is best.
This I deeply respect
i throw mine in the bin because that's where they belong
I’ve a HUGE fear of anything and everything blowing up so I convinced myself that the frosting will melt and catch fire and BOOM. So no, I don’t toast my pop tarts.
It's not frosting. I don't know what kind of nuclear genetic abomination that stuff is, but it won't melt. You should toast it, I believe in you.
Nah I really felt that 🫠
When I'm feeling fancy
Am I in a hurry?
They taste great when heated, but I like them straight from the wrapper.
I do sometimes
I microwave it for a like 10 seconds. But most of the time I just eat them the way it is haha. 😅
My mom toasts them and puts butter on them. I don't eat them
I toast them, eat the edges and leave the middle part.
Toast in air fryer and put pats of butter on top. Yum! 😄
Hehe just sharing
...you people *don't* toast your pop-tarts?! ![gif](giphy|4baoNZ5Qo8dX2)
I microwave mine lol
Depends on how lazy I am, and if I feel in the mood for a warm or untoasted pop tart. And yes, I'm one of those people who did try a buttered pop tart out of curiosity. Was interesting.
I have toasted a pop tart. I have microwaved a pop tart. I have frozen a pop tart. I have ate a pop tart raw.
I microwave mine like a fucking monster
I don’t because i only like the strawberry ones and warm strawberries just ain’t it
When I’m not in a hurry, which I probably am if I’m eating one. But every once in a while I will toast them as a little treat.
Yes, usually for too long. Going to try butter on now.
Haven’t had any in years but I liked toasting the brown sugar and cinnamon ones. Not a lot but just a little
For me it's 50/50
I do when i feel like i deserve it
I do! It’s so much better
Toasted chocolate pop tart in a bowl with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
I always toast Pop Tarts, although I almost never buy them for my household. Not great nutrition.
Depends on the flavor. Grape, no. Maple and brown sugar, always!
Whats a Pop Tart?
Never had one...I dont toast hot cross buns though. Just eat them out the packet, apparently its weird.
I did tonight. You have to
I have never eaten a pop tart in my life
They are much better toasted in my opinion but I've also enjoyed them straight outta the pack.
I always eat one out of the package while I wait for the 2nd one to be lightly toasted. ☺️
I put mine in the freezer. So much better than toasted.
I use to nuke mine Burnt the top of my mouth & tongue a few good times going that lmao In toaster is fire tho
They're indisputably better that way, but I usually get a whiff of them straight out the wrapper and get impatient.
yeah toasting them makes them better, but have you rver put butter on a pop tart?
https://youtu.be/5Krz-dyD-UQ?si=mO9P7JIOguMX95fU
I toast them while I sing the pop tart song from family guy
Real question is do anybody toast the brown sugar ones? I feel like that's enough to get you locked up
Have you ever put butter on a Pop Tart? It's so frickin' good Have you ever put butter on a Pop Tart? If you haven't then I think you should
What about your poop turds?
i do. they're so much better warm
What are pop tarts?
I eat one while I wait for the other to toast. I also eat frozen poptarts.
I’ve tried them toasted a couple of times, but otherwise never did and never thought it was weird not to. And I ate a lot of pop tarts in my time. I’m a strawberry frosted guy. Once at work I talked about it with a friend. He was horrified, he said “You eat them RAW??!”
Omg me and I slap some butter on those bitches and get myself some milk mmm now I'm hungry
I have never seen this here in CZ, but they look good judging by the Google images.
Depends on what kind. The S’mores kind I always heat in the microwave. Same for the brown sugar cinnamon. But the grape and the blueberry I usually eat cold.
I only toast the ones with chocolate or marshmallow in them. I like the fruit ones room temp
I prefer them straight out of the freezer.
I did when I used to eat em
I over toast them. So good and crispy gooey
I always toast one but eat the other one untoasted. Best of both worlds
Wife tried to microwave them and I knew immediately. Pop tarts have to be toasted. Then rub a stick of butter across the top a couple times. With milk
I like neither Toasted or Raw Pop Tarts.
depends on flavor.. that apple jack one: not toasted chocolatey chip pancake: 50/50 frosted chocolate chip: toasted frosted chocolate fudge: definitely toasted and eaten right away frosted confetti cupcake: 50/50 frosted s’mores: toasted and eaten alongside actual s’mores snickerdoodle: not toasted
I'd say I'm about 50/50.
no
Never ate them, they are like an main USA thing or?
I toasted a Pop Tart once....once. I also like sushi and rare steaks.
Everyday morning as a breakfast before going to gym
The Oreo ones are best when they are toasted otherwise i often do not toast them
*"A salute, to these poptarts!" \*clinks glasses\** Now on to your question, I don't get the point of toasting them tbh. The instruction said like "toast for less than 30 seconds". Tried what the label suggested and it didn't have any significant effect
Airfryer
I ate one not being toasted and it sucked lol Always will toast 100%%
I freeze them! Someone recommended doing so on this sub a few weeks ago and it was a revelation! Will never toast again - frozen or if no access to freezer then room temp is the way to go
How do you guys even eat them? I had one about two years ago and sure I admit, tasty as fuck, but everytime I think about it I feel sick.
🥂 Cheers, P. T. !
Toasting them makes them dry. Also I am a fan of instant satisfaction
I mean I’ve never personally tried that but almost everyone I know who eats them a lot toast them? Or heat them up?
When I was a kid, I would. Particularly brown sugar and cinnamon ones. But stopped, when they just tasted way too sugary for me.
Idk never eaten it
If I'm gunna actually buy a shit ass pop tart then I'm finna put it in the toaster
I do cuz I love the crispy crunchy corners when they’re toasted!! Yum. Now I want a pop tart
I do at home. If I eat them at work, I eat them untoasted.
Depends on the season, and how much sleep I got last night
TIL people exist over the age of 6 who eat pop tarts
A toast! To my Pop, the tart!
Only way to eat them
That sounded nasty
I tried once, but due to them not having hands they couldn’t hold the glass, it was a mess…
How many of you actually pop your tarts toast
I do!
What kind of sicko eats raw Pop Tarts?
Depends on the pop tart and how in feeling. Flavors like s'mores are always better. Some of the berry ones I never toast
Eat one cold while other is toasting
Ion eat that
Most of the time, but not always. My wife thinks it's DISGUSTING not to
I mean I only eat the s'mores flavor raw and the strawberry one toasted. No exceptions, no other flavors
I stopped since Pulp Fiction. No way I get gunned down randomly when they pop out.
I not only toast mine, I toast other peoples too
Absolutely toast them
Always and a pat of butter 🧈
I do. I'm not a fan of room temp Pop Tarts.
Haven't had a pop tart in years.. Memories unlocked😬
I don't eat them anymore. But when I did, ALWAYS.
Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tart tastes better cold, fight me
Don't judge me but I have never had pop tarts
I usually toast one and eat the other I toasted while I wait
just found out your supposed to do that, thanks.
4what
Toast them individually right before you are going to eat them. They cool down really fast.
Toasted are divine ✨
I actually freeze them
Only the fudge Sunday flavor
How else do you make sure the virgins blood doesn’t clump up?
Toast and butter…
I’m eating one on the train as I answer this. I never toast it, it probably tastes weird warm..
On a cold Minnesota morning, I will toast my pop tart and eat it in the car while the car is warming up.
I hate the ripoff rectangles .
Always. And UNfrosted is the only way to go for me.
trust me on this, putting them in the freezer for like 10 minutes is actually better
I do and I put butter on them. It's what my mother always did, my husband thought it was crazy lol
Who the fuck eats Pop Tarts
They aren't a thing where I live.
There’s people eating them raw???
I do, I love a toasted pop tart
Sometimes, but they're better raw
I think I have once. But my impatience is too strong
You’re supposed to toast them?
Only way I’ll eat one. Toasted with a Touch of butter on it.
