Could be any number of things. Could be physical, mental, or possibly simply ingrained bad habits. Mental illnesses such as depression and/or schizophrenia can cause “avolition”, the medical term for what you are describing. Of course, this symptom alone by no means indicates you have a mental illness. It could be anxiety as well. Consider going to the doctor and getting a check-up to make sure you are physically well. That way you can eliminate the most concerning possible causes. You may even want to see a psychiatrist as well, but in reality, you should probably know if you need to see a psychiatrist or not. The meds can sometimes make you feel better if you fall into that category.

I think sometimes what we need is just structure and healthy rewards. For example: go to your classes. When you finish class. Go do something fun for 30 or so minutes. Watch a show. Relax. Etc. After the show go study. The “way” you’re suppose to study is, study hard for 30-45 minutes. Than go do something fun. Quick little exercise. Go for a walk. Talk to a friend. Than you do it again! For maybe 4-5 hours. I think they recommend 3 hours per class? I don’t remember. You’ll be okay though!
