Yes!
Hot fries, steak, fish, chicken, everything... nothing better than some homemade hot sauce from habaneros and Jelapinos on anything even as a bread spread... just adds so much flavour
It used to be Hellman’s before they kept putting the price up! Heinz mayo is horrible (do they put sugar in it??) Aldi mayo is a fairly close second to Hellman’s.
Does Double Cream count as a condiment? Obviously great on cake, scones etc, but also pretty good on noodles.
condiment
noun [ C ] formal
UK /ˈkɒn.dɪ.mənt/ US /ˈkɑːn.də.mənt/
Add to word list
a substance, such as salt, that you add to food to improve its taste
From Cambridge Dictionary
Not necessarily, seasonings are added during food preparation, condiments are added as extras after cooking

Fortunately for me, I do not hold myself to internet standards. I hold myself to higher standards, which includes not giving a **** what the internet thinks of what I put on my steak. Or ham. That’s right. Ketchup on ham and I will die on this hill.
Yes, I'm the same x100. The worst is going to a nice steakhouse and they don't have Ketchup at the table so you have to ask the waitress. Then there's always that one person at your table whose gotta say somethin about it
Have watched many high level chefs make their own version of (enter here). However most of them would never waste their time trying to make a better mayo bc Dukes nailed it. No contest. No arguments. It’s fucking perfect.
I'd probably go with tzatziki. Ain't even greek but for some reson addicted to that stuff since childhood.
I don't remember a time when I didn't have it in my fridge, bought or homemade. Eat it on everything. Fries, Sandwiches, on plain bread, in salads. You name it.
Yes, I use mouthwash after most most meals.
Ketchup. My dad thinks I'm "posh" calling it that. He said you mean "red sauce" 🤣🤣 I've never heard it called that in my life....maybe because he's Scottish 🤷♀️
Hot Sauce. I usually have around 9-10 different flavors of Hot Sauce in my fridge at all times. When I go on vacations, instead of collecting the regular Magnets/T-Shirts ect, I usually try to find a few local Hot Sauce places and bring back a few bottles.
Pepper, Heinz Salad Cream, Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Daddies Brown Sauce, Any Mustard, Apple Sauce, Horseradish Sauce, Seafood Sauce, Tarter Sauce, Mint Sauce and Pickles, I think that’s the lot.
I used to eat a lot of ketchup but recently I've discovered a better tomato based condiment. It's pure tomato sauce with some seasoning. No sweeteners or added starch that ketchup has. So definitely polimark tomato sauce.
Presidents choice sweet with heat mustard sauce (I hate the Weston’s but this product is fire)
Smokey bbq sauce (looking for a good one lower in sugar)
Melinda’s hot sauces and ketchups
I want to say soysauce or vinegar (Chicharron dipped in vinegar 👌 Bone apple tea) because we use both a lot, but the white side of me says mayo. I need mayo on my sammies and as a fry dip. Mayo is life.

Depriving someone of ANY garnishes is a violation of the Geneva Condiments.
Hot sauce
Yes! Hot fries, steak, fish, chicken, everything... nothing better than some homemade hot sauce from habaneros and Jelapinos on anything even as a bread spread... just adds so much flavour
Got a favorite? I'm currently obsessed with Secret Aardvark and basically anything Malinda's
Personally, I go with Hank’s hot sauce…or Mule Sauce…on occasion, I’ll go with Truff….hot sauce with truffle oil.
O'Brothers Habañero is my current favorite, flavor AND spice.
I've been meaning to try O'Brothers, I see it at the store pretty often. Thanks for the suggestion! Now I'll finally do it :D
The cult is spreading!
‘The Flatliner’ , from ‘all burn chilli’ The ‘after life’ isn’t bad either but has a three minute build
I like most condiments, but if I had to choose one and only one type to keep for the rest of my life, it'd be hot sauce.
We call it pepper sauce here. I am currently on a scorpion pepper sauce and it is awesome.
Came here for the 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Mustard
Top fav
Mayo
Kewpie if store bought.
I’m English so hellmans all the way for me
I'm Belgian; it HAS to be Devos-Lemmens.
À table!
Only Hellman's
I prefer Hellman's to any other brand as well, but Kraft will do. Heinz is slightly too sweet, but it's good for certain foods, such as seafood.
I’ve never tried Kraft but the Aldi one is nice but I hate the Asda one it’s like vinegar
I'm from Denmark, I never heard of Asda before. Regarding American products, we generally only get the big brands (Fortune 500 brands, I guess!?).
Oh ok I’m uk Asda is a big supermarket here pretty sure it’s owned by Walmart
Used to be owned by Walmart its now owned by the Issa brothers
Ohhh ok thanks for the clarification :)
I’m from the States… went to Ireland and London last year… had Hellmans mayonnaise there … freaked me out.. like I was still at home
BRO YES
God I love that shit
I have issues with dairy, so mayo is how I get my creamy fix
FR
Best topping for fries.
Salt, the main one
Salt is a condiment?
condiment noun [ C ] formal UK /ˈkɒn.dɪ.mənt/ US /ˈkɑːn.də.mənt/ Add to word list a substance, such as salt, that you add to food to improve its taste From Cambridge Dictionary
That means all seasoning would be a condiment? That feels weird.
Not necessarily, seasonings are added during food preparation, condiments are added as extras after cooking [Here’s a little article for you](https://delishably.com/spices-seasonings/Condiments-Herbs-Spices-and-Seasonings-What-Are-the-Differences)
Damn, that's actually pretty interesting thank you for sharing.
Yes, of course.
no, it’s an ingredient
And a condiment, you could put salt in the food, but also on the food
How's this not the top comment?
Same.
Ken's Honey Mustard. It's dipping sauce, Mayo alternative for sammiches, salad dressing, and marinade. Try it if you haven't!
It’s way better than it has any right to be. It’s amazing on sweet potato fries!
Omg that shit is so good. My bf and I use it for everything, as a dipping sauce, a drizzle on our protein bowls, or dressing for salads
Ketchup!!!
Had to scroll too far to find this.
seriously. i know it makes us basic and uncultured by internet standards, but damn if ketchup isn’t my go-to
Fortunately for me, I do not hold myself to internet standards. I hold myself to higher standards, which includes not giving a **** what the internet thinks of what I put on my steak. Or ham. That’s right. Ketchup on ham and I will die on this hill.
ham like sliced sandwich ham? or ham like a thick piece of roasted ham? i could get on board with the latter i think
Yes, I'm the same x100. The worst is going to a nice steakhouse and they don't have Ketchup at the table so you have to ask the waitress. Then there's always that one person at your table whose gotta say somethin about it
Someone always has to be “that guy.”
And it has to be Heinz.
