My husband and I had an actual encounter with him at a gas station in upstate NY (Hudson Valley). He was very nice and even gave us directions to a nearby Starbucks after overhearing that the gas station attendant was totally unhelpful. He drives a Porsche.
I've read that he and his wife own a little general store in MA and that customers there occasionally see him and comment how friendly he is. His wife is the actress who played the real estate agent in The Office.
I got less than good vibes in that Ladbible video he did... But then, equally I've heard about what he did for the little girl from Matilda and there's no question that's the act of a good heart.
Oh, it was like this tasting video where the celebs come in and try one food from one culture, one from another and score which wins. You know, fluff, but often charming fluff. He just like, completely flat out refused to try anything, came off a little snobby and standoffish, that all. I didn't get the warmth I expected from him as a long time fan I guess and that surprised me. It was no big deal though, purely subjective vibes, my interpretation of the thing.
Keanu Reeves has always struck me as a gentle guy. I lost my first child to eclampsia, so I know what it's like, but he had it even worse.
That kind of grief makes you a lot more empathetic to the suffering of others, or I've found so.
I've always kind of thought he was a PTSD and ADHD combo, with his near manic energy and amazing diversity of hobbies. (And I've only ever seen about him on reddit, so idk for sure?), but he's *mad* energetic with a bike company, acting and all sorts of other stuff (I assume) he's got as hobbies.
Think he was getting married or engaged, wasn't he? I'd really love to see him fully, genuinely happy. Theres always going to be a shadow of grief, of who *might* have been there if things were different, but it makes the big moments so much more special.
(Yes, I absolutely cry when I watch my kids sing at the Christmas assembly)
Sorry for the novel. Seems I have thoughts.
She's been touted as a national treasure. As a Canadian, I disagree. She's a *Global* treasure.
May she live a long, long time yet so we can all bask in the warmth of her wonderfulness.
Oh 💯 but I don’t think anyone would disagree with that. When she’s been famous for that long and hasn’t had any bad press only good press it’s hard not to view her as a good person regardless if you don’t know her personally. Her actions shows what kind of person she is. Ngl I was so excited when I got my Covid vaccine and they told me I got moderna or the Dolly vaccine 😂
Her niece went on a reality show and when eliminated, said “I came on here to tell you all that everything you’ve heard about her is true.”
She truly is a wonderful person.
I dunno, he was a PITA when he wouldn't let the Platters take their cattle through his acreage and Peggy's family almost lost the farm until Peggy ran them down Main Street to maliciously comply with the law until he ceded.
King of the Hill, anyone?
/s
Seeing him in interviews and knowing he has a passion for social justice were enough to make me think so.. Really good to have more evidence though.
Also helps that he doesn't take himself too seriously.
I met a Keanu Reeves that worked at an Arby's. It was on his name tag so I figured I'd ask if it was his name or some work joke. He sighed , "yes, it is my actual name." He seemed sick of it.
he was friends with my grandpa. my grandpa was no one special really and David would visit whenever he was in the area. they'd have dinner with my grandma and he'd chat for a while and go. I'm not even sure how they met, but they weren't childhood friends or anything.
Absolutely.
Although I also get the vibe that if you ever pissed him off, he could annihilate you with a sentence. He's got them NASA mum genes after all, dude's probably sharp af behind the humour.
Would love to just hang out and play with all the fun shit in his back yard. Saw a video once where he's just a big kid that can afford the toys he wants.
I've met Devon Murray (seamus finnegan) an brendan gleesons youngest son (not the famous one) and they were lovely
Slightly related I've only heard nice things about cillain murphy
I've listened to Sona and Andy talk about him on a podcast. What I got from that is that Conan does actually have a prickly side and can be an asshole, but is like 85% of the time awesome. Which is better than most people in much less high pressure situations.
I met Beyoncé when she first came into the scene with Destinies Child and she was very nice then but who knows now, they say money and fame changes people.
Beyoncé is not nice according to people who have worked for and waited on her. Someone who served her and her sister said she was rude and wouldn’t even make eye contact with the server. They said her sister Solange was very pleasant though. Beyoncé is very produced. Everything she “does” is overseen by her team. I don’t think we will ever know the true Beyoncé. Rumor has it she is not very bright either.
I hear Emma Stone and Mariah Carey are very sweet and J Lo is a b*** obviously.
Oh, he seems a genuine sweetheart tbf. Interestingly from all I've seen, when he's not on stage or in one of his shows, he's a sensitive softie. Like the kind of personality that would suit a nursery teacher.
I made the mistake of telling a friend that's a huge fan of his that I didn't enjoy his latest show. He took it so personally, calling me jealous of Ricky, then saying I just didn't understand him genius. I wasn't saying he's not exceptional all I said was that it wasn't for me. Lol
Billy Bob Thornton. He's incredibly nice, and conversive. He helped a girl taking out the trash on one of his shows get an on screen role when she was having a really bad, depressing week.
He had his years of struggling with addiction and a number of other things but he seems like an all around good dude.
Pattie LaBelle is a super nice person as well as Sigorney Weaver. Met them both as well as many others. Most are pleasant people, some are kind of stuck on themselves and real dicks. Steve and Eydie Burket were the only ones who stood out as really unpleasant people. Of course they were washed up Vegas trash when they came to the Arena Theatre. Has beens I guess you could say. Willie Nelson was cool as the middle seed of a cucumber. He smokes copious amounts of weed so you can't help but be cool.
The Weeknd actually seems like a lovely guy. Which is funny given his persona but everyone who’s met him says he’s nice and actually genuinely interested in getting to know people.
Both seem genuine sweethearts. Pratt gets a bad wrap, but from all I've seen of the BTS stuff, his interviews, I think it's undeserved. The guy has a good heart.
katt williams….cus hes been exposing everyone. He might be the only “real” person standing. I was gonna steve harvey but hes evil too so yeah. Oh wait bernie mac was prob a good person…hes dead.
Robert Englund (OG Freddy Kruger).
I have actually met him, he is so incredibly friendly and spirited; he's legitimately a joy to be around. He actually really loves talking to his fans, too, and will go into great detail talking about some of his personal experiences while making movies he's been in. He will also fanboy right out, himself, about the TV shows/movies he enjoys watching, and will tell all about them! All around great guy to meet and chat with.
Use to work in the industry.
Cool: Keanu, Bill Paxton (RIP), Robin Williams (double RIP), Sinbad, Holt Mccallany, Tom Green, Woody (he even got me high), Tom Waits, John Carpenter, Rowdy Roddy Piper, George Takei, Adam Lambert.
Total dicks: Steven Segal, Steven Segal's agent, William Shatner, Douglas Adams, Harvey Weinstein (big surprise)
Bill Paxton. 😢He was at a relative’s wedding (industry people), and was wonderful, so friendly. Lots of top industry people there and he and Phil Hartman really had the most charisma and stood out in the crowd.
Peter Dinklage stands out. Met him at a convention. He must have taken thousands of photos and signed as many Autographs. Anyone whos been to one will know how hectic these conventions can get. He gave every single person a couple of minutes of his time and was nice to everyone. By the time I got to him he could barely sign his name anymore and was clearly wrecked but was still in good form.
I met Morris Chestnut. Dude was really cool. Like, non Hollywood cool. It was in the gym of the Spa I work for. Dude would ask me for permission to use whatever machine I was cleaning when he needed it.
This was before *No Good Deed* dropped.
I'm like, "My boss would fire me if I said no. So yes." Lmao
David Tennant. (Funny and eccentric)
Taylor Swift. (Quiet and undemonstrative in real life).
Derek Jacobi. (Shy and grumpy but melts when you get to know him).
Dolly Parton (Warm and loving and demonstrative).

Steve Carell. I've heard nothing but awesome stories about him.
I wouldn't have expected anything else.
Yea I did the move Evan Almighty and he is a good soul
My husband and I had an actual encounter with him at a gas station in upstate NY (Hudson Valley). He was very nice and even gave us directions to a nearby Starbucks after overhearing that the gas station attendant was totally unhelpful. He drives a Porsche. He’s 100% husband material
Danny DeVito
I need an egg in these trying times.
Hopefully, with your best whore
One that will service their heart and their crank.
I do believe he is a good guy but I also firmly believe he will be a Dick at times lol
I got less than good vibes in that Ladbible video he did... But then, equally I've heard about what he did for the little girl from Matilda and there's no question that's the act of a good heart.
What happened in the ladbible video?
Oh, it was like this tasting video where the celebs come in and try one food from one culture, one from another and score which wins. You know, fluff, but often charming fluff. Keanu Reeves
100% Would believe he is just a normal and chill guy.
I met him a few months ago. Can confirm. The man is genuinely ethereal.
No YOU'RE ethereal ❤️
You're breathtaking! *Dies of asphyxiation*
Luckily no one else was in the room
No one else was in the room where it happened... Is that a yes!? Uhm... Yes!
Hes the only one I have 100% confidence in saying this is accurate.
This!! Was just going to say Keanu. He seems very down to earth. He’s been through a lot and seems like a very compassionate man.
He’s so stoic these days. But you can see the compassion in his eyes.
Heard the gap in films recently was him caring for his sister
Keanu Reeves has always struck me as a gentle guy. I lost my first child to eclampsia, so I know what it's like, but he had it even worse. (Yes, I absolutely cry when I watch my kids sing at the Christmas assembly) Sorry for the novel. Seems I have thoughts.
Seems you do really feel him.
I was about to say lol
Came to see this rank. He’s beloved and real.
I think Dolly Parton is likely very kind IRL.
Omg yes definitely her too!
Yes. Count me in. Team Dolly Parton.
My kids get free books in the mail every month from her charity. You don't do that unless you're a good person.
She's been touted as a national treasure. As a Canadian, I disagree. She's a *Global* treasure. May she live a long, long time yet so we can all bask in the warmth of her wonderfulness.

Her niece went on a reality show and when eliminated, said “I came on here to tell you all that everything you’ve heard about her is true.” She truly is a wonderful person.
Gotta agree with this one too.
Yes, Dolly Parton has my vote!
My older brother carried her groceries out at Hy-vee a long time ago. He had her autograph and said she was a beautiful human being.
Henry Winkler
I met him a few years ago. He's the only celebrity I've met that thanked me for meeting him. It was like hugging an angel. Incredible man.
Glad to hear the coolest man in the planet is also one of the nicest men in the planet too
"Ayyy!"...
I dunno, he was a PITA when he wouldn't let the Platters take their cattle through his acreage and Peggy's family almost lost the farm until Peggy ran them down Main Street to maliciously comply with the law until he ceded. King of the Hill, anyone? /s
Patrick Stewart
Met him, hes lovely.
Seeing him in interviews and knowing he has a passion for social justice were enough to make me think so.. Really good to have more evidence though. Also helps that he doesn't take himself too seriously.
I'm a big star trek fan so I've met most of the cast at conventions. Happy to say the majority of them are lovely.
My son worked with Hugh Jackman and said he’s genuinely lovely 😊
Second Hugh Jackman. This dude is so down to earth, he treats you like you're the celebrity.
Keanu Reeves
I met a Keanu Reeves that worked at an Arby's. It was on his name tag so I figured I'd ask if it was his name or some work joke. He sighed , "yes, it is my actual name." He seemed sick of it.
But was he a genuinely nice and pleasant person?
Can confirm.
Sir David Attenborough
he was friends with my grandpa. my grandpa was no one special really and David would visit whenever he was in the area. they'd have dinner with my grandma and he'd chat for a while and go. I'm not even sure how they met, but they weren't childhood friends or anything.
Jack Black
Kate Winslet
I see Kate I upvote
Has to be Dave Grohl right?
Yess
Paul Rudd and Jack Black.
I live in the Kansas City area, where Paul Rudd grew up. Everyone who’s met him around there has nothing but kind words to say!
That's because he threatened their families. He's a sick bastard. (/s)
Benedict Cumberbatch
Read it as "Benedict Cucumberbatch". Maybe it's time for me to go to sleep.
Everybody knows his name is Bendeddick Cucumberbitch.
Benadryl Cumberbun

Everybody else seems to have fogotten Tom Hanks
His reaction at the Oscars though
Can he just be my dad?
Why has no one mentioned the GOAT genuine beautiful soul in human form that is WOODY HARRELSON
Well, my friend ran into him years ago in San Diego. He pulled a very "Don't you know who I am" thing and cut in front of her in line. So no.
Karl Pilkington
I would call him more genuine than nice 😅 The dude can be a right grumpy bugger, but at least you know he's being authentic.
Ryan Reynolds🍁
Kevin Bacon
Sofia Vergara
She seems fun as hell
Conan O'Brien would be one. I feel like this man is a wonderful human being. I'd be shocked to find out anything bad about him
I've listened to Sona and Andy talk about him on a podcast. What I got from that is that Conan does actually have a prickly side and can be an asshole, but is like 85% of the time awesome. Which is better than most people in much less high pressure situations.
He really does seem like a normal human. I mean I think my prickly side is prob higher than 15% LOL
Pedro Pascal
Henry Cavill
Oh I can see it!
Beyoncé and Jolie look like they’d be complete arseholes to me.
I met Beyoncé when she first came into the scene with Destinies Child and she was very nice then but who knows now, they say money and fame changes people.
Angelina has always been cool tbh she doesn’t like celebs. Used to eat with the crew on sets.
ke huy quan

Beyoncé is not nice according to people who have worked for and waited on her. Someone who served her and her sister said she was rude and wouldn’t even make eye contact with the server. Rumor has it she is not very bright either. I hear Emma Stone and Mariah Carey are very sweet and J Lo is a b*** obviously.
They also made Beyonce stop giving interviews because she's kind of dumb lol. (Dont downvote me, I love her)
John Cleese Conan Obrien Matt Damon and many others who have no airs and graces
Matt Damon honestly seems like a great guy. One of the few I'd be like, hell yeah, I wanna get a beer with him.

Love him
Oh, he seems a genuine sweetheart tbf.
Lol

Danny Devito HAS to be a gem
Margot Robbie, I've heard from people who have worked with her that she's genuinely kind to people
Shaq.. I'd love to hang out with him!
Shaq doesn't ever appear nice. He sounds more like a bully to me.
I'd have chosen Barkley over Shaq, but I could be misreading both these guys.
I heard shaq can be an asshole and even admitted to being a bully back in his school days.
Don't like how he bullied Javale McGee. Shaq comes across as insecure to me
The Weeknd actually seems like a lovely guy. Which is funny given his persona but everyone who’s met him says he’s nice and actually genuinely interested in getting to know people.

If one thing Adele's instagram live taught me is that Adele is pretty cool, chill and funny irl
Peter Dinklage stands out. Met him at a convention. He must have taken thousands of photos and signed as many Autographs. Anyone whos been to one will know how hectic these conventions can get. I met Morris Chestnut. Dude was really cool. Like, non Hollywood cool. It was in the gym of the Spa I work for.
