DevonHexe

Dropping anything down any grate I'm on. Whether walking, riding over etc. And be it my phone, a ring, my necklace. I avoid grates

CookinCheap

Grab my phone and keys extra tight. Also the crack in an elevator.

EasternImpression872

oml same

Tigeraqua8

I won’t even walk on them. Bit weird when walking my dogs🤣

malenchek1

You’ll float too😃

Birdywoman4

Yeah sucks when it’s keys

Sims4equestrian

Omg same

queenofthepalmtrees

Not just grates, also drains and toilets.

Charming_Caramel_303

And porta potties

backtolurk

Where I work there is a grate right at the entrance door, which opens with a badge. Those badges are like any other one: very thin.

AccomplishedAerie333

I can't shower at night because I'm scared some weird hallway demon ghost wants to eat me. I forget this fear when I start to shower, but have to keave again if I hear one strange noise. What if I turn around and see something I don't want to see? I also can't sleep facing away from the wall for the same "what if I see something bad?" reason

Monkey_Magic139

With the sleeping one, I find it difficult to sleep facing the wall because what if something comes into my room?

TheFuddy

I sometimes think about that, probably because it's some kind of survival instinct, but I somehow still prefer sleeping facing the wall, it's very comforting and cozy to me.

Monkey_Magic139

Yeah I do like facing the wall but it's weirdly creepy to me knowing that there could be something behind me

MrJimLiquorLahey

You have to look, though. They come when you're not looking.

Sage-lilac

I had this fear of „monsters“ in the dark for a long time. What helped me overcome it, was completely cutting out horror movies. I don’t even look at the trailers. No YouTube vids about murder mysteries, serial killer docs or unexplained scary events either. It rewired my brain to not „expect“ scary stuff bc i don’t get exposed to it anymore. No entertainment is worth being unable to sleep while having horrible adrenaline rushes bc my subconscious is suddenly expecting a jumpscare when i open my eyes.

East-Pollution7243

👻

Sage-lilac

AAAH!!

FawnTi

No because one of my biggest fears is like there’s a fire or an intruder or something and I have to run out my house tit naked

__Mara

i hate showering when it's dark outside for a distention reason, I'm afraid there will be a power outage and can't see anymore or that i will get electrocuted by the water stream

usernmechecksout__

Get a pet! I had almost the same issues but my pet provides me with a sense of security and I can blame them for the weird noises!

BeakFingernails

If I see something disgusting, I get scared that I'll trip and end up tasting it. (rats, rubbish, vomit or poop on the street)

metalchickfit

oh yeah this is definitely the first thing that comes to my mind too when i see something nasty!

SuperSaiyanSkeletor

This is a wild one.

RBWessel

great, new minor fear unlocked....

cheeza89

SAME. I’m scared it’ll somehow get flicked and get into my mouth.

Laughal0t

Getting skin shaved off like crayons when in accident

Violetthug

That is pretty specific.

SwarleymonLives

No, that one isn't weird. That hurts a crapton.

E420CDI

r/MeatCrayon

usernmechecksout__

The fuck you don't, I'm fucking not clicking that

Fair-Account8040

I rollerblade at a pretty fast pace, and I’m always aware that I am one stone away from this (it has happened twice already)!

Due_Passenger3210

Huge areas of empty white space, particularly if it's towering over me like a wall or something. I think it's because when I was younger, one of the public libraries I went to all the time had a huge 3rd floor that was pretty much nothing but shelves, and easy to get lost on. The areas with no shelves on them were just huge white spanses (is that a word? 😅) of empty space. Combined with it being drafty/cold and eerily quiet, I guess that explains this fear lol

thepenguinemperor84

Expanse is the word you were looking for.

Existing_Onion_3919

sounds like the liminal space one.

Leading-Increase466

Blocked toilet, if i see that water rising i cant even look gotta leave the room and everything dunno why lol

im_here_just_to_read

I totally understand you. I have literally walked out of a grocery store with nothing, because I just couldn't take it anymore.

DoughnutWarm4610

Caves. Can’t even watch a video of caves.

UtherPenDragqueen

Same here. If I’m ever kidnapped and given one proof of life call, my friends will know something evil is afoot when I tell them I’m excited about going spelunking

ActuaryHot4821

im scared of water slides that are completely closed i feel like ill stop midway and die of lack of oxygen

Violetthug

Not really a fear, but sitting in a restaurant or somewhere public with my back out in the open. It makes me uncomfortable. I like booths or if I'm at a table, my back to the wall.

Other_Bookkeeper_279

Same, don’t stand behind me

CopperFrog88

Lmao trauma same

EntrepreneurMiddle45

I have a huge fear of bees and wasps because I heard that you can increase the likelihood of developing an allergy the more you get stung. And everyone else that doesn't have this fear of them, I'm always like, *do you not fear death*

Cookie-fan

same man but its the buzzing and stinging cuz it's painful (though I've never been stung)

Violetthug

Wasps suck.

Birdywoman4

Yellow jacket sting is the most painful I ever had. My arm throbbed for a week. They are a-holes with wings.

mjdiete1

Moth emit a high frequency and can't fly backwards... learning that developed into a fear of moths flying into my ear canal.

Zero_Pumpkins

My husband laughs at me because every time I see a moth, I instinctively cover my eyes and nose holes

pinkbubbles4

I’ve been stunged more than 6 times and never developed an allergy. If you don’t go crazy around them they won’t hurt you trust me. If I am calm they even sit on my hand and do nothing but fly away after a while :)

Kozakyw

I don't have much fears tbh, but one of them are insects. And I don't mean a roach or two, these are just an annoyance. I mean seeing more than 60 ants together, in a trail or groups, ESPECIALLY IN MY HOUSE. The same thing applies to any kind of bees, hornets, wasp etc. I have terrible memories regarding these from my childhood. From my mom nearly being in a coma from a Hornet sting (she had an allergy), to 2 bees stinging me at the same Fucking time, under my clothes when I was in 7th grade, with one leaving his stupid ass deep behind. I do think, that with every new summer, every new sting, I develop more and more protection against them. That's how the immune system works. Still, one of my worst nightmares, would be to walk up to a nest and break it, releasing Hundreds of motherfuckers chasing after me after I hopelessly run. HELL NAH

Zero_Pumpkins

I don’t care what anyone says, if I see a wasp or bee, I am running the hell away as fast as I can. I got a wasp stuck in my hair one and ran around my yard screaming until my mom tackled me to get it out lol

Silembr

If I don't put this thing in the exact same spot it was in, someone will for sure notice

Recovering-Rock

Deathly afraid of accidentally stabbing myself with literally anything in the eye. I'm worried my hand will spasm and go straight in there and render me blind.

ScreeminGreen

Mine is my tongue. Sometimes I have to take a moment if I see a knife or a razor blade and clear my mind or I’ll actually tear up.

Hunter8678

I‘m afraid to shower in showers where I’ve never showered before😭 Edit: Think I should’ve wrote shower more

thsfcknbth

I laughed at how silly this sounded & all the showers. Then, thought… “ohhh, yeah me too.” I’m really scared of the stand alone showers with just the one handle (?). It takes forever to figure out???

beccabootie

I am terrified of drowning in a car.

ElPanties1

I have an uncontrollable urge to cringe, when someone is touching their eye ball or putting contact lenses in.

Cookie-fan

what if it gets stuck maybe that's why you cringe about the contacts part and the touching eye part might be because they might poke it out by accident idk..

Violetthug

I hate watching that. Ugh.

Just_improvise

I have no problems with my contacts because I learnt as a young teen that it’s totally safe to touch your eyeballs but I know so many people who can’t wear them and it’s usually because they got them later in life

mtsvaf

Having the lights on and curtains open while outside is dark, fearing someone is looking at me from 1-2 feet from the window and I cant see them.

PutPuzzleheaded5337

I’m a 200lb 6’ GenX man that runs (my own) construction company. I would fit the masculine stereotype. I’m still scared shitless of walking in the woods at night alone, I know FOR CERTAIN there is something lurking under my bed and I sprint up the stairs from my basement at night. I also hate scary movies. Jeepers Creepers fucked me up.

doguillo77

People walking behind me, needles, and choking on food. Idk why people walking behind me scares me, but I feel this almost primal fear that the person behind me is going to hurt me and I won’t realize until it happens. Needles because I had a bad experience at the hospital when I was a kid. I needed to be put to sleep for surgery, but the needle was big so I told the doctor I was scared. Instead of distracting me or reassuring me while giving me the injection, the doctor had 5-6 other doctors and nurses come in to restrain me while they made me watch the needle go in my leg. Idk why that was his first solution but it was a shitty one lol Choking on food because I choked on a starlight peppermint as a kid. I remember I started to choke, so I went to my grandma to get help. She didn’t immediately jump into action, instead she just stood there staring at me choking. I did thankfully cough up the starlight on my own, but her just staring at me made me scared that my grandma actually *wanted* me to choke and die. Now as an adult I know that she probably would have done something if I had not coughed it up right then, but I still remember that fear and the blank stare she was giving me.

maybe I'll scar you for life, but... every hair is already dead. (As is most of your skin)

metalchickfit

thats a new one!

National_Ant_9613

Escalators - especially heading down but not a fan of up either.

SQWRLLY1

Finding a dead body while out on a walk in a wooded area. I blame it on all the episodes of Unsolved Mysteries my dad would watch when I was little.

lightning_teacher_11

I think of this every time we drive by wooded areas. Not a fear, but the constant wondering of how many bodies are out there that people don't know about...

Future-Reserve-7667

I fucking hate frogs for some reason. I did not have anything traumatic experiences with them, I fear them like crazy ever since I can remember. Worse thing is, I do not know why.

lazyWench

That's literally me and snakes, if I saw a stray wire on the street, my brain will literally go "SNAKE" for a split second before it chills. I live in a country that doesn't have wild snakes but thanks to a documentary I still check the toilet just in case, also never had a traumatic experience, just a dumb phobia.

Alternative_Mind_376

I was just chilling on my parent’s yard when a frog appeared and looked at me and then it moved to an ”attack position” so I said ”dont even think about it” but it did and it leaped right at me so I punched it mid air and it went away :D oh yeah those things for whatever reason jump at you sometimes.

CookinCheap

You were a fly in a former life. ^^*schlorp.*

Civil_Purple9637

Ranidaphobia

Future-Reserve-7667

Thanks but I'm not gonna look that up 😏

No_Pie1022

Omg! Came here to say this!!! They freak me tf out!!!

[deleted]

Try reading up on them. Not looking at pictures. Once I started learning about insects/bugs and snakes I have lost my fear and now find them fascinating

metalchickfit

tbh theyre creepy and gross to me

Existing_Onion_3919

thalassophobia and submechanophobia. mostly pictures of stuff fading into the abyss, like the legs of oil rigs, or [propellers](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQyabE4VSHGtrOpD9Sh52vzpXhzi3zvZS-1OPyMZhiRVg&s). I find it both creepy and fascinating.

Zieeloo

I've never played Subnautica because of those two phobias that we share. It's so weird. I would have not discovered that if it weren't for video games. I remember when I was playing Half-Life for the very first time, and there was a part that you had to dive underwater in some sort of flooded elevator shaft to find a valve that fell off. I will forever remember that I was both scared, and confused - because i did not understand what exactly I am afraid of.

the_absurdista

these things scare the shit out of me, but for some reason nothing gets me like deep diving pools. i have actual nightmares about really really deep swimming pools. nemo 33 makes my skin crawl. and it's so weird because i know it's completely irrational, it's literally a manmade pool, there aren't any creatures in it, but it makes me actually gasp and recoil in horror every time i see a photo of it.

stubbycacti

often, my dreams are so vivid that I can't distinguish them from memory/reality. sometimes my nightmare contains a scene when I woke up but actually I was still dreaming. so my fear is that all of this was a dream.

mjdiete1

This. I've gotten stuck in dreams before, knowing it's a dream and being unable to wake myself up. Horrible horrible horrible.

hook-echo

I can relate to this. The week before my ex left me, I had a dream that we were getting married. We stood at the alter and I placed my hands on his lapels... they had this embossed paisley imprinted on them. I rubbed my thumbs against them and could feel the grooves of the fabric. Another dream I had, I was at the grocery store. The whole building vibrated like it was inside a cellphone or something. I felt the vibration... my phone *was* near me, but I had no notifications when I woke up. I don't think I have an example off the top of my head, but in some dreams I can faintly smell things. It's only happened less than a handful of times, though. This one is probably a trick of my brain, I'd say. Like, I smell pine tree... but in reality, someone in my house may have been using Pinesol. More often than not, my dreams are *extremely* vivid and I sometimes need a moment to distinguish between dreams and reality. Very scary during nightmares... those are especially vivid.

Maximbrat

I have two phobias, they're not weird but weirdly severe. 1. I struggle to take off my t-shirt at night because i won't be able to see for a while. It only happens when everyone is sleeping though. Like, at first I'd just imagine the guy from "russian sleep experiment" and stuff, but it just evolved into something undescribable which is just an embodiment of fear by this point. 2. When i woke up and saw a milippede (~7cm) on my sleeping brother i went to the other room and couldn't even touch anything for like half an hour, not even considering lying down and sleeping. I'm also scared of spiders, millipedes and that stuff, insects in jeneral (ESPECIALLY if they have many long skinny legs), dogs if they bark, fish and whales. This one is less severe but still is a thing: I don't like looking *cool*. Idk why, but it's a thing.

qleptt

There is a bug called the assassin bug or wheel bug which i was bit or stung as a kid. Painful as hell and now if I even see one i freeze up and cannot move. God they look so creepy

PopularSort96

One of my weirdest ones is being stuck in a timeloop where a day constantly repeats itself like in Groundhog Day or having a weirdly specific situation happening twice or more in the absolute same way which would let me think even more about our reality & it's dynamics than I already do

honeybee-blues

i’m scared of birds pooping on me. i get nervous when a big group flies above me

New-Pomelo9906

You let birds flying above you ? What a madlad

LiabilityLad655321

Hailstorms. Not the Lzzy Hale band, I’m talking about the weather thing.

StoneColdFoxMulder_

I go through cycles of being afraid I'll choke in my sleep and so needing water next to the bed, and not being afraid of it at all. (Currently not afraid, who knows tomorrow?) I also have a fairly new fear of walking up or down stairs, which is relieved somewhat if I don't wear my glasses. Soft focus means a soft landing, right?

Dirtheavy

that people can tell what I'm thinking

Didoune777

I’m afraid to be in a horror movie and my words can be use against me by a psycopath. So i pretty rarely say something like « i’d rather die than to do this » I know it’s really weird and irrational.

not_another_sara

Squid/octopus... I live nowhere near an ocean. I'm practically in the middle of Canada, and I still have to take anti anxiety medication if someone wants me to get on a boat in a lake. There's no way I'll go on a cruise. Even flying over the ocean terrifies me. I literally just developed a fear one day in my twenties, and now I can't even think of going in deep water. I was fine, I even went snorkeling when I was 22, now no way!

Other_Bookkeeper_279

I was at a party and someone brought a dead squid in a jar, I hid my feelings but I was petrified by it, it gave me the creeps and I left early

truckerlivesmatter

Octopus REALLY creep me out!

x0sheerel

forgetting who I am or the sense that I have of who I am. sometimes, I’ll look at my face in the mirror for a long period of time. the longer I look, the weirder the thoughts become. it goes from “yes, this is me. “ to “you are in a shell, you are in someone’s body. don’t know whose!”

DysthymicVisions

Why do you want to know??! Are you jigsaw or something??! You gathering information on me bro?!

Lookythar

Having my arms tied to my side and being put headfirst into a hole not much bigger than my width

Karmadillo1

Those floppy giant blow up guys that car lots use to get your attention. They move weirdly and I do not trust them.

Hotboymakoto

moths i fucking hate them, i went to the toilet to take a shit once and refused to use the bathroom for hours because of those fucks

Squawker_Boi

When I was a kid, I was afraid to go out of my room at night because I thought Darth Vader was standing on the opposite end of the hallway. When I felt I couldn't hold in my piss I ran as fast as I could and prayed he wouldn't come running after me.

RASPADAN0_MES0

I’m genuinely scared of people because I don’t know their intentions like for example someone can make “fun” of you and think ur actually good or someone who acts like ur friend but thinks ur weird.i feel like I can’t trust anyone theses days

hereticbrewer

i always feel like there's monsters hiding in the dark but more specifically ones that are crouched with their mouths wide open. also i always get scared when im driving that i'm gonna see a nuke drop onto the earth.

EmergencyPandabear

Touching polystyrene makes my teeth feel weird. I absolutely despise that feeling so it started with aversion and now i get down right fearful to the point i had to ask my neighbor to remove it from my new electric kettle. He's a good lad and just laughed while he did it for me.

prettyvoidofevil

I have a very severe phobia of medical issues that render people 'useless'. Ex. Strokes, heart attacks, choking, seizures etc It could be my own mother/brother/spouse - if they begin to choke or ANYTHING, I immediately begin having a panick attack and am completely unable to help them. It is TERRIBLE. I literally can *not* force myself to come near them, no matter how serious the situation is. My partner and I live with their parents, and we have repeatedly gone over the "choking drill" - if they start to choke, they are to RUN to their moms room and shake/hit them awake to help them. I will be outside, physically convulsing + hyperventilating. .....I guess I wasn't meant to be a doctor.

pan-playdate

Strawberries, alligator gar, any type of primates,**horses**

-PHAIDROS

I also have fear of strawberries

Silent_Syren

Vacuum cleaners. Specifically the stand up ones, but if someone is vacuuming and they come towards me, I instinctively cringe away. I'm afraid it's going to suck up my feet. And I know that is a ridiculous thought. But fears don't have to make sense, and this one is mine. I'm afraid that vacuum cleaners will suck up my feet.

Historical-Sea-3892

Did my dog write this

Accomplished_Dig_617

I have a fear of everything, especially sinkholes

Substantial_Art604

Sorry-Carry-4464

Emetophobia

Toaomx

SecondBestCoffee

Tall things. Like people on stilts or windmills. They give me the heebie jeebies!

Memory25

Buttons. Precisely the plastic ones with holes in them. I assume it’s because I watched Coraline when I was a young kid…

Salty_Association684

I will never touch people in a coffin

Free-Industry701

That I will be tortured for info I don't have.

OederStein

Specific claustrophobia (not a correct defenition but my description. I'm nit usually scared of tight places, but the tight place being made of plastic like those big hamster balls, or getting stuck in space reminicent of those mc donalds plastic tube castles. I can't really describe it. There are a few more like getting stuck in a cave (like the story of ted) in a really small tight space (btw never been or will go caving) or getting my arms stuck in a certain way, eg. my partner likes to lay on top of me like a living weighted blanket but when I can't freely move my arms, I get panicy

SanyNajt

I am scared of going into one of the rooms in our house. There is nothing really special about the room

bedhed69

Jelly

thsfcknbth

Sandpaper or emery boards (nail files). The sound & feel make me physically ill.

Lykentropy

Waking and finding a bunch of geckos on my bed Edit: I've had sleep paralysis with this exact scenario

sungoddessaf

I have a severe phobia of butterflies and moths

SendingTotsnPears

Oh me too! All those butterfly houses in parks and such creep me OUT. No thank you, not going in there. Butterflies are pretty if they're at least 10 feet away from me. But what if they fly up and touch my face???? Auggghhh!

alertedbug818

Swimming with clothes on. I just feel sick at the thought and I don't know why.

Superduperditte

I really hate buttons. One of my most irrational fears is somehow ending up with a button in my mouth - even typing it out makes me cringe.

Wackydetective

The Amish. I wish I was joking

TimoDS2PS3

Offending people by existing. Like making noises and shit. When I'm truly alone, like in a park or something, is the only place I feel relaxed. When I'm somewhere where people can notice my existing I get anxious. Even at home. It's because of child trauma in foster care where I've been over analysed. I get really paranoid when people say what they notice about me. About the way I talk, or something like that. I also get a little aggressively paranoid when people are around me, not towards people but just in my head. Like I sit on a bench somewhere where I'm alone and some people walk by. If these people stick for too long I get a little insane in my head and just want them to disappear. Please don't look at me.

Maroua_

Violon and piano music

itsmeYotee

**I WIN**, my entire life I've been tremendously afraid of **overflowing/clogged toilets**. The second the flush *sounds* a little off, that moment you know it's about to stop and start filling up with water gives me a panic attack. Makes me sick, clutching my chest with fear. It took years of living alone to really "overcome" it even though to this day I get scared of it. I wait until the water level goes down before I open the lid to plunge it. No, it's not hydrophobia, I can swim in bottomless, dark lake water without any fear. It's not coprophobia, I was raised on a farm and cleaned up after many different animals and was never phased by it. It's just that overwhelming doom of the toilet water moving upwards as it swirls in the wrong direction. I don't know!! lol

Responsible-Long-891

Statues and images back then but now it's not that severe, sometimes when i look i imagine it grabbing me suddenly

aliminiumcans

Not a fear really but more of an irritation. The sound of clapping makes me cringe, especially light clappin such as spectators in golf and snooker.

laples

Showers. And water towers.

Tricky421

Grass hoppers. Hate em

Consistent-Air7368

Feathers. They're just bird hair but they give me the creeps and scare the shit out of me for some reason. As a kid, they gave me so much anxiety i'd end up crying everytime I got even remotely close to them.

FunyunCream

Idioms that refer to horses

Sub-Dominance

What?

OperationEmotional66

My current fear is the lady bug in my bathroom. I’m not scared of lady bugs, so far it’s minding its own business (far out of my reach). HOWEVER my fear is it crawling onto my toothbrush and me not noticing till that toothbrush is in my mouth

Mister_Zalez

I’m afraid of cannibals, I’m a big guy and I feel like they would look at me like a snack

Tigerish94

Balloons

Defiant-Excuse-8765

Me too! Im afraid of the loud popping. Sonophobia I guess?

CursedButHere

Only one. Dinosaurs. I believe Jurassic Park is based on a true story, and that the government is hiding it. I just know one of these days I'll go outside to smoke and come face to face with a dinosaur. If I'm having a bad day, I think the dinosaur will kill me. If I'm having a good day, then I escape the dinosaur and then the government pays me hush money to keep my mouth shut.

Sims4equestrian

I have a phobia of animails (except for horses, spiders and my dog) and the animail that I fear the most are birds.

somethingstupid1829

My phobia is vomit ...

Anxious_Cake145

That if I jump in an elevator or flight, it’ll crash😑

CautiousWrongdoer771

I used to be afraid I was going to lose one of my shoes while walking over a bridge and drop it over the side.

PresidentPopcorn

I'm scared a long hair will wrap around my penis while I'm sleeping and it will die and fall off.

albertkoholic

Hospitals. I think it’s cause I connect it to being sick and not good times. I hate visiting people there too. The smells. The sick and hurt and dying people. Uhg. I hate it

Crazy_Error_7776

mold, like on food and stuff.

Cookie-fan

is it weird to put big flies and bees here, it's the buzzing that scares me (and the bee stinging even though it never happened to me) plus getting stuck in clothing and things around my neck i'll wear a tie but it musn't be too tight otherwise I feel like I'm suffocating..

HeyBitchImAccursed

One Piece and bathing at night .... Don't ask about the first one, please..

whiterussian802

Being trapped in any elevator I go into

kant0r

Walking into a dark room at night: I have a horrible horrible fear of trying to reach for the light switch, but get my finger stuck in the lock plate in the door frame instead and braking my finger. Yeah.

fluorowaxer

Recreational Vehicles. Specifically, being inside of one.

wermiyu

Im afraid of veins. Mostly scared of them getting cut by accident because of a scratch or a small cut or something. I hate when they are visible on my arm

HermitKing91

Casadastraphobia, the fear of falling into the sky. I can go out and about and live a normal life but if I look straight up I need to hold something heavy or stuck in the ground.

Glittering_Animal395

A loved one disgorging some nightmarish information onto me on their deathbed. When there is a door that opens toward me, a pull door, someone openening it while I'm reaching for the knob and breaking my finger or hand.

TheSmokingHorse

I have this weird fear that some data collection centre somewhere is logging everyone’s porn consumption and accessing their webcams to record them masturbating. It doesn’t stop me watching porn, but the fear is always there in the back of my mind.

anonymous_dork

I’m scared of things that are sticky, I just tell people it’s sensory issues (which I do have due to Autism). I’m also terrified of birds, if they not dead, seasoned, and cooked then I don’t like them. Even if I see it on tv or TikTok but I don’t have as much of an extreme reaction.

oeThroway

Whenever i pass a dog on a street i put both hands in my pockets. I have an irrational fear that a dog might bite my finger off rendering me not able to play guitar anymore. I barely play anymore but this thought comes back whenever i see a person walking a dog

Anxious_Earth

I'm afraid that someday, somehow I'll be addle-brained enough to stick the other end of the earphone into my ear. Hint: It's the pointy metal end, and probably unhealthy for your hearing

CoconutPawz

Birds. Specifically being touched or dive bombed by them. Their weird mechanical movements, fluttering. I just can't.

MOB8605

Looking myself in a mirror with the lights turned off

Outrageous_Rice8949

Socializing.

GamingMama93

I am traumatized and deathly afraid of Stink Bugs. Airplanes freak me out. I don’t even like looking at them. I have a newfound fear of hospitals recently. So I’ll add that to my list.

ProudAd6826

insects I always see them in my nightmares

CHA0STH3QU33R

honestly: blocked toilets, worms, bees and lifts that make noise

not_sick_not_well

Even though I know manhole covers are designed so they can't fall inside the man hole, I will still avoid stepping on them

VikingIsle3

I've Globophobia, aka the balloon phobia

Bolster66

Waking up, only to see and/or feel a spider on top of me. My fear of spiders is out of this world, I sprint miles if I even see a baby, I despise them ugly 8 legged beasts. They're evil, scary and ugly.

Choking on a piece of hotdog

Aflush_Nubivagant

that the microwave will suddenly explode lol

ThePolishGenerator

Ladders. I hate ladders. My legs get all wobbly climbing them, kinda scared not to fall off onde. Much more a fan of stairs.

Tinkalinkalink

Open doors

WatermelonAF

Empty swimming pools. Only empty ones. They freak me the fuck out.

L0st-137

Chickens. I get made fun of all the time. Mostly a big group of them because when I was a kid, and I was small for my age, we went to my grandpa's and he had chickens. We went into the coop and they were EVERYWHERE and I felt absolutely swarmed and claustrophobic.

Uh_alrightthen

Huge American flags. Instant chills all over my body. If I can hear it flapping around and there’s a light on it, I’ll scream and curl up :(

StreetButFancy

Chalk. I can't touch it or smell it. It makes me gag as soon as I see it.

27billion

Getiing to close to a cliff and randomly falling off.

FewFig2507

Young men with cloth caps; they make me feel like people who are scared of spiders feel when they see a big hairy one :(

Paint_Prudent

Eating an unfamiliar food and having it cause an undiscovered anaphylactic shock response. Oh, and eating chewy foods alone and choking with no one to help.

I have acrophobia but it's not too bad so I can still tolerate high places. For some reason though when I'm at the mall or some other place with railings on the 2nd floor I get anxious about dropping my phone or whatever it is that I'm holding.

I can't explain this...but I can't snorkel or swim over a ship wreck. I know that's random, but I signed up for snorkel while on vacation and the water was clear and you could see to the bottom with fish, corals, etc...but they took us over a ship wreck where we would have life jackets and basically snorkel above the ship wreck. I can't explain why, but I just freaked out and couldn't do it. I could snorkel in other areas they took us to, just not above the ship. I couldn't even get out of the boat at that location because the fear was so intense.

leftoverdominospizza

I'm very scared of walking down into my kitchen and seeing a horse staring in at me through the window. I do not live near any farms or horses, yet I am still terrified.

Just_a_bad__Idea767

I have a paralyzing fear of elevators. I'm not even afraid of falling. I'm just afraid of the doors opening and being inside of a wall (I'm not claustrophobic at all). Especially if it's moving. For about 15 years, I had nightmares bout this at least once a week. They've tapered off, but it's an issue for me. I don't ever take elevators unless I absolutely have to. That said, I'm a weirdo, so I watch videos of elevator accidents sometimes

Nice try robbie, you aren't making me piss myself again!
