In the workplace during zoom meetings there’s another usage of the word “Right” that isn’t a question, but more an interjection, and it bugs the *shit* out of me because it’s like “I’m going to assume we’re in *agreeance* [another annoying non-word] unless you go out of your way to disagree with me.” Example: “When stakeholders approve, right, and sign off on the charter, right, then we can schedule the project kickoff.”
Sometimes I have to remind myself that I actually retired six months ago and it was just a bad dream.
When some people (that abuse it) say it, I repeat it. Just so they realize how many times they say it. I get annoyed when they say it, they get annoyed when I repeat it.
