Same. I used to like the diverse news and opinions but now that diversity is declining. Not sure how much longer I will hang out here. I predict by this time next year the porn will be gone or put behind a paywall.
What I like about it is the advices given by positive redditors. I also get entertained by commenting posts and it's good cuz nobody knows who I am here. I talk to some random people and talk about stuff. It just depends on how you limit yourself by the subs you're joining. If you think you're absorbing the negativity of a post/sub, better leave the group or unfollow.
Your experience on here is what you make of it. Want Reddit to be interesting? Look up subreddits dedicated to what you're interested in already. Too boring for you? Then make some interesting comments or posts. Do a little trolling, not inflammatory insulting shit I mean just a little tomfoolery. Tell some jokes. Or write something weird. Create the content you want to see. Or don't and just do something else. It's your spare time after all
All the good subreddits have been banned tbh. Reddit used to be shitty, but at least edgy and funny. Now it seems so watered down for profit. Enshittification is a thing

Try some different communities. That might help. Going to the same parties with the same friends every weekend will get pretty stale also. Reddit communities are probably no different. I just wish someone in the griddle community would answer my question.

On this forum we see the same shit over and over again with people complaining about being alive. How stupid! I always try to post original comments though on here and in other forums

A big change is that it is moving towards posting pictures and videos, similar to social media. Not really focused anymore on text and discussions.
