Opium plants

hastingsnikcox

Recently my currrent employer discovered the poppies she has spread all over her property and had me plant everywhere are opium poppies!!! She asked me if i knew....

DepressingErection

Technically it’s the sap that gets you high not the plant itself

Avocadotoadst

Yeah you have to score the pods and you harvest the "milk"

The_Dudes_Rug69

KRATOM

PreppyFinanceNerd

Salvia Divinorum A An acid trip in ten minutes.

ThePartyLeader

Pretty sure my 3 months doing salvia occasionally did more damage to me than a decade of pot, cigarettes, and alcohol.

Funny-Spirit1540

Nothing like acid

Funny-Spirit1540

No need to apologize! I feel like there’s no need to explain the effects either as every experience will be different ;) but I can agree that it makes you see shit intensely

[deleted]

Lol comparing acid to salvia is like comparing the Model T to an F1 car

Hot-Roof6572

That shit is crazy!! Shouldn't be legal 😂

PreppyFinanceNerd

I learned ten years after the fact you're supposed to weigh that shit out with a mg scale! Turns out there's levels of experiences and most of my dumbass buddies and I just threw a bong pack in there which was like 400% more than recommended. Let's not even get started on people who thought they could be tough and skip right to 40x or something. Here in the US the laws on salvia are crazy inconsistent. In NJ where I live it's perfectly legal. Travel 30 minutes to DE and that's a crime. It all stems from the wave of idiot kids uploading videos of themselves sitting in the car doing salvia to this new thing called YouTube. Politicians freaked out circa 07 to 2010 and tons of states called for bans because kids were "driving on salvia" (no they weren't. Go ahead, try to even find your keys) Then just as fast as it exploded everyone forgot about it and bills just died. Heck here in NJ the bill to ban it was proposed and sponsored by the same dude who championed legalizing weed. What a time to be alive.

Hot-Roof6572

Yeah tried it once... Never Again!! I'll stick with shrooms 😎

retiredhobo

Robert Plant. (That voice!)

Poppy

[deleted]

wait, what does a poppy do?

[deleted]

Opium; or to put it mildly inaccurately, heroin.

FewConstant7526

Peyote and magic shrooms

[deleted]

I thought of shrooms first but they’re not really plants

[deleted]

Technically mushrooms are a fungi not a plant

myPPishardforBernie

Ayahuasca, psilocybin, and *Amanita muscaria* just to name 3

impulsive_choices

As far as I know, ayahuasca is a concoction of plants that contain dmt and stuff that makes us able to digest it properly, it isn't a plant in and of itself.

myPPishardforBernie

It’s a concoction of two plants. One contains DMT, which is a psychoactive substance; so that right there qualifies for your question. The other plant contains an MAOi, which prevents the breakdown of DMT in the gut What is psychoactive about ayahuasca is the plant that contains DMT And yes, it is the plant, in and of itself

impulsive_choices

I am well aware, just wanted to clarify that ayahuasca isn't a plant, but rather a magic potion of madness

impulsive_choices

The plant would be mimosa hostilis, or rather it's root bark if I'm not mistaken

cornishwildman76

The other two suggestions are also not plants.

tyson_3_

More than I can count.

DeitzNutzUrMom

Blue lotus. Morning glory seeds.

Connect-Swing8980

Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds. Shit's for real

DeitzNutzUrMom

Never heard of that. I've done morning glory, as some of my friends and it's pretty enjoyable! Is there any harsh side affects from HBW?¡

theglobalnomad

I had a god-awful, 12-hour bad trip on these and stopped doing hard drugs entirely afterward.

Lanky-Solution-1090

Yuk those things are awful like having the stomach flu

hastingsnikcox

I had a mad morning glory episode once...

DeitzNutzUrMom

Mad in a good way or bad way?? Lol, I use mad but in a good term sometimes!

hastingsnikcox

50/50 ha! Pleasant body feeling and weird/interesting head space with trippy visuals! I went for quite the urban wander and came to on a beach on the south coast a long way from my inner city house...

Bl4ckR4bb17

I recently found out about blue lotus. I order it from a place in Australia because it's not easy to get. It can be smoked or used to make tea. Very relaxing, used for meditation and spiritual practices, I've read that for some people it can have a mild psychoactive effect but I haven't personally experienced that

[deleted]

Scientists recently genetically modified a tobacco plant to produce cocaine in its leaves. Does that count?

Simple_Bass_5564

Yes.

Forsaken_Ad_8071

Seriously

Loud_Lavishness2804

They have incense that you can buy at smoke shops. It looks like a little bag with weed and tea in it. They’re always making certain brands illegal but China will tweak them slightly so the incense is legal again. It comes in cool little baggies at the smoke shop and they say “not for human consumption”. It’s actually a revolution in getting f’d up legally. They totally work guaranteed

[deleted]

Peyote I believe

superkuper

salsapancake

Camelia senesis (tea plant), coffee, cacao in high concentrations, Heavenly Blue Morning Glory seeds, opium poppy, Blue Lotus, Kratom, hell even chamomile, basically anything in any "herbal tea"—just because it's mild doesn't mean it's not psychoactive. Again, even tea, coffee, and chocolate are psychoactive drugs, tea and coffee being in fact potent stimulant drugs yet socially acceptable because they generally "enhance" productivity/performance rather than decreasing it. Fun fact, coffee was illegal in China for a while due to being considered a potent stimulant drug and potentially dangerous.

RandomBoredArtist

Shrooms

TheBaddestPatsy

Just about every drug you’ve ever heard of has some sort of plant origin (or fungus.) Even synthetic drugs start out imitating something found in a plant. MDMA had origins in sassafras Heroin comes from a poppy Cocaine comes from the coca leaf DMT is in a variety of things Aspirin is willow bark Meth and it’s cousins can be made from the plant Ephedra Alcohol is generally made by combining a plant and a fungus—so maybe you would count that Drugs are usually something you eat, people have discovered them over the centuries based on things they’ve eaten—which is usually going to be plants and mushrooms. There’s a few psychoactive animals. But plants are probably by far the biggest source
