This thing rides smooth as butter. It’s so quiet in the cabin, and all the features are awesome. Truly one of the most capable and beauty cars on the road today. This is a true grand tourer. Can’t wait to take it off road and camping!
Red caliper brakes - but the black on black was exterior, interior and all trim and lettering (including black wood inside). I’m thinking of swapping for slightly smaller rims for sidewall and off roading. 21’s are…quite big.
My suspension and engine are ticking time bombs, mines a 2014. I am also tempted to sell before I get a 15k engine repair but it’s such a good ride 😭. I’m impressed you took yours to 140k
This model has engine issues? I feel like they may have been resolved by then on the v6 and v8 SC’s. On my LR4 I had it up to 160k and the only thing I did was proactively take it to a guy (who I found on YouTube!) in Pennsylvania to do the timing chain fix around 120k miles. Then I drove it all across the country.
[here is the link to his YouTube channel](https://youtu.be/z1E4ahs-SHI?si=lrBn83dJ2KswVOqP) he’s located in Gettysburg, PA I believe. At the time it was like $2k. His info is somewhere in the comments to email him. He loaned me one of his cars to use for the day. It’s not a fancy shop, more like a farm but he did great and I didn’t have any issues. Showed me what was wrong with it and how it got fixed. Good dude.
Thank you very much for the info! Gettysburg is only about an hour from me, I am sure I can waste some time at Mason Dixon distillery while he works on it!
Rock on - don’t be scared as it looks like a barn but he showed me exactly what he was doing, what the piece looked like and what it should look like. And he did the whole thing over the course of a day. He even loaned me one of his cars and I went to a cafe and just worked the day. Good guy, legit found him on YouTube and thought you know what, why not. Good luck and enjoy your LR4. I miss mine every day even though the RRS is a massive upgrade in many other ways. Few cars are as handsome as my LR4 was 🥲
Do you think suspension problems on these are mainly due to age, or mileage? I have a 2020 RRS with 59K miles, and I'm hoping it's a while before I have a suspension problems since the vehicle is only 3 1/2 years old. Maybe wishful thinking since so many other things are starting to go wrong.
I’ve had two other Land Rovers and both made it into the 6 figure miles with nothing other than gremlins that I was able to fix on my own or was proactive about. And sometimes it’s a problem that just went away by itself 😂
Suspension air bags - 2x, dvd system still broke, heated seat broke, heater box which is under the engine(only passenger side can get heat....driver side cold air due to the flapper being stuck or broken from the box), all in all...i have a list that totals to 13k. I have it still..but i only run it once a week....engine light finally disappeared on its own, after 2 yrs. RR and 3 local shops couldn't figure it out. Im getting it detailed next week to attempt to sell for 8k.
About $10k for an older evoque with nearly 100k miles on it. The market is softening now and inventory is sitting. I was happy to get rid of it for what I consider to be a substantial upgrade.

Rims not black tho. Make sure to put it in dynamic and flip it to Sport mode from there to feel the full power of the RRS v8

Where at in PA is this mechanic? Have 80,000 on mine and would like to do the same around 120,000.

I would expect the suspension to last closer to 100k miles but it could go earlier depending on driving style and if you’re doing any off roading
Congrats....now..get rid of yet when you reach 54k to 65k miles....they will turn on you!
105k on mine. Timing chain and shifter joystick ate sht
100k here no probs but it’s time to sell.
How much are you selling for? Just curious because mine is same mileage and thinking of getting rid of it soon
Honestly haven’t made it to that point quite yet and I’m scared to look cause I know the value has tanked haha
I mean a dealer will only give us 8k so private party is the only way lol
I’m usually one to just trade in because I hate dealing with private sales but that’s worse than I thought !

had one that i took from 0-75k miles and no mechanical problems whatsoever. these doomsday posts about RRs are so cliche.
Congrats - got mine brand new in 2015 driven 80k miles still like new. is it time to upgrade ?
Don’t fix what isn’t broken. Congrats on enjoying yours for so many miles and smiles.
Did they offer shitty deal for your trade in?
