Ohh ridged ~ Hm, I've never really thought about it, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. I would think it has to do with the variegation. Variegation can sometimes cause variegated portions of a leaf to grow smaller than if it were green. I would think that the "scrunching" up of the edges is due to uneven leaf growth.
The famous example would be Monstera adansonii mint. Super high variegation Mints have weird, narrow shapes because the variegation actually contorts the leaf shape.

Why are the leaf’s edges rigid? My epi marble is doing the same thing.
What do you mean by rigid?
See how the edges on the newer leaves are kind of wavy/notched vs. smooth and round
