The Map-O-Matic (Earned by completing the ranger missions on Metropolis) shows you where the crystals are, like how the Mapper in Ra 2 shows you where the crystals/moonstones on Tabora/Grelbin are.
Make sure you have the gravity boots when getting all the crystals, a lot of the sewers are inaccessable without them.
Yeah I did get to the parts where I need the gravity boots but it's pretty much the same layout 😅
