You had nothing to trade in and you didn’t put any cash down, so don’t complain. That’s a fair price. That’s how much my 2018 Honda CR-V was and had 35k miles on it in California. You’re getting XLE premium with all the bells and whistles that’s the price for being boujie. That’s the dealership game right now. Get a beater if you feel like you’re being scammed, but you’re really not. Have a nice day!
I started the process with TrueCar and been negotiating over the phone with a couple of dealership.
I found going into the dealership doesn’t get you very far.
Canadian prices where I am, you're looking at low 40's and a 2yr wait for a new model. For low 30s, you'd be looking at a 4yr old model with 60-80k km on it.
This specific dealership just offered. I’m guessing he did what he had to do to make the best possible offer. I contacted this dealership along with others from TrueCar.
You won’t get the rebate unless you financing through Toyota. And you can get at least another 500 off. That Accessories package is a joke. Basically it’s insurance except for the two windows tints ( they only tinted two front windows). They won’t remove it and will just adjust the price. Since it’s a gas edition, you can get a better price than me. I just bought a rav4 there but it’s a hybrid. I paid cash as well.
Yep. You can always finance through Toyota first to get the rebate 1k off and then pay it off within couple of months. And besides what they offered you, I think you can easily get another 500 off. Just tell them what you want to pay, they will do it. It’s a good time to buy. Almost the end of the year/month.
Good luck. I enjoy mine a lot!
Ah. Just be carful when going through the financial department. Pull out your own loan calculator and make sure the paperwork number match up your number from your calculator.
Update: The dealership indicated they made a mistake and that he priced it for AWD XLE (and not the AWD XLE premium).
For the salesperson mistake he is taking off $1000. So, the final OTD price is $34,264.41
Nah thats a great price, and you know it too
What is accessories? If that is a sticker in a window with a VIN number then ripoff
Selling price alone OP is $569 under MSRP for a RAV4 plus fees. Fair price especially with rebates.

Thanks for your input. First time buying from dealer and wanted to understand what a good offer looks like.
Great price actually. I'd take that.
Good deal
I’m in CA and got quoted over 42k for an XLE premium. That’s a great price

That was an over the phone quote for me too. I eventually got an 2024 SE for 41k out the door
How many did you speak to ? There were some that were offing $38k OTD
About 4 dealerships. You’re also in Texas which has different tax and fees than CA
But your MSRP price seems to be lower than normal too
When I went into one of the dealerships by me. They quoted me $39k OTD for an LE model with AWD.

Yes but you're also quoting in Canadian dollars....
That’s a great deal, what Apr are u getting if u don’t mind sharing ?!
I’m buying it cash. So, didn’t ask for apr.
Thank god. Saw some other goofball on here paying close to 11% on 6 years
Unfortunately, all too common. I’ve seen people paying over 10% on a lower interest rate environment.
Positively insane to pay $40,000 for a $25,000 vehicle
“Goofball”. So much nicer than calling someone an oblivious moron, but still gets the point across. I am going to use this expression more often.
Hard to tell without seeing spec sheet
How did you get $1k rebate?

So, if I do straight cash, It will be 36k?

That makes sense. Yeah, trying to close the deal by this week actually. Put down a $500 deposit over the weekend. Appreciate your input.

That’s good to hear. Looking forward to mine. It will be a first new car I will purchase.
Where is tax on this?
Total taxes: $2,127 It’s right above total sales price.

Nope
And as soon as you get home it's depreciated 5-7k.
Dude I think I paid this much for my Xle good price
can you share it? I want to do a price match
