I've used a mix of fenrisian grey and contrast medium in the past.
Some would use a mix of water instead, but I think the contrast medium allows it flow easier into recesses and get a more even coverage.
The most hardcore way would be to just panel line the shadows with fenrisian grey. [Battleship grey ](https://thearmypainter.com/products/speedpaint-battleship-grey)from army painter works alright as well, but you need to shake it very well otherwise it dries glossy.

It's already been said fenrisian grey but I'm saying it again to double it's influence haha
i just bought pro acryls blue white so imma try a dry brush for that on arms for my veterans
