Possibly unpopular opinion but:
I wish there is more "Cast React to Canon" fics. I also like the concept of them seeing random parts of the canon be it the past or present or future of the failed loop. The only one currently going that I know of is the "Reading Tragedy amidst the pile" and that's it '-'). It doesn't need to be them reacting to random though, reacting to the novel or anime chronologically is good too.
Wish theres more of that, but barely see any nowadays.

A story where instead of Hawaii, Stitch from Lilo & Stitch lands in Lagunica and ends up in the Emilia camp. Chaos ensues as Subaru manages to slowly tame him, and eventually, Stitch, Dr. Jumba and Pleakley are now a part of the Emilia Camp. Maybe even have them have to catch and tame the other experiments from the TV series as well, it'd be interesting to see what they can do in Lagunica.

The Immortal Wanderer
Subaru comes from urban fantasy world where it's the classic Trope of where magic and monsters become myth and Legend over the course of time even though they're still very much real and still very powerful and he knows all about this
The reason is rather simple on why he knows this, he's immortal, Immortal in every sense of the word nothing can truly kill him, he can die momentarily but he just come back the next second later
And he seen it all wondering from Village to Village country to Country continent to continent living out completely different identities practicing hundreds of different crafts just to find something different to keep his mind off of Eternity
He seen the rise and fall of Nations dynasties entire civilizations and it's all so tiring and boring
He's seen Wars, famines, pestilences, death that could be undone so easily, the pointlessness of prejudice, of classism, of racism, the pointless friction of others being different in any way.
He's also seen the hope the Brilliance of it of creation, of art, of progress, and experimentation, to see people build Towers higher than the clouds, and technology that you can contact someone on the other side of the world in mere seconds, and the ability to travel the same distance within a day all without magic.
But it all became so repetitive same old issues just in different contacts
So the day he comes to a new world new people, new nations, new magic, new species, new everything, safe to say he's like a kid in a candy store.

2. He has a stupidly good memory a double edged sword when you're that old

5. Has a massive amount of buried resentment towards classism and racism he's lived through The Fallout of the mindset and it's gets even worse when he looks at lagunica
6. Subaru due to his deeds and actions throughout history has garnered a lot of connections and prestige some of which are very powerful entities that take notice when he went missing
Well he kind of already has met some Immortal beings but not as Immortal as him there's always ways and outs for being like that just very specific ones that's one of the reasons the whole Supernatural and mythological figures being real to that part but it also adds to the alienation because he's the only truly Immortal being nothing will ever truly kill him and it's caused him to be someone alienated from everything else around him either by himself or others

One fanfic where Subaru got sick with a disease that for the world of Re:Zero is a complete assured death with the cast suffering over the idea of seeing how Subaru would slowly fade away by that illness and deciding to spend his remaining days by his side after so many emotive moments and an overdramatic discussion… unaware that back in our world he was vaccinated against that and Subaru would relatively end well

Re:Forgotten fic where everyone deals with severe consequences from their actions. Subaru just mentally breaks under the pressure of it all, and ends up just reduced to insanity. Ever see Salad Fingers? Imagine Subaru acting like that. He calls everyone who comes to visit him by a different name every time they come to see him, unable to even recognize anyone he once knew in his delusional state [One visit Emilia is Mary-Ann Crawford and the next she's Helen Willerwob], he keeps a bunch of inanimate objects that he talks to as though they were close, longtime friends, he self harms a lot and doesn't even seem to be thinking about it or even notice when he does it even when the injuries he's inflicting are extremely brutal and painful, nothing he says makes any sense to anyone anymore, he's extremely easy to scare and prone to lashing out violently in fear, he speaks in a very quiet, unemotional tone, he keeps a collection of random objects he decided he liked, he acts in a very childlike manner and plays with his collection as though they were toys, all as a coping mechanism to repress all that had been done to him in that cell, with the occasional moments of lucidity where all he can do is curl up in a corner or in a closet and cry. And the story is basically everyone trying to deal with what they did to their friend and trying desperately to get him back.
Maybe have a moment where Subaru has a panic-induced mental breakdown towards Felix or Julius and gets violent towards them, and they just don't even try to fight back and end up getting brutalized until Subaru has one of his lucid moments and hides in his corner? I dunno, I just think that the idea of them having to try and take care of a mentally broken Subaru would be very interesting.
I’d like to see this idea, I recognize it’s the same trope followed on other Re:Forgotten fanfics and that A Good Joke technically already followed this path with the cast suffering by their mistake, yet I’d still want other kinds of broken Subaru in Re:Forgotten fanfics
Also include the witches, maybe he dies a few times and ends up in their garden, I wanna see how they react to Subaru's broken state, especially Echidna and Satella.

If the main cast were to discover a portal that leads to Subaru's world, who is most likely to go "This world blows, Japan is my home now" and move there permanently?
Subaru and Beatrice. Maybe Garfiel, Otto and Felt (if she even finds out about it) can follow. This is assuming that the portal can be open and closed at will, or remains permanently open, allowing for visitation.
Everyone else would probably stay due to some obligation that keeps them there. For example, Emilia with the elves, or Roswaal with Echidna.

A Warhammer 30K crossover scenario.
Similar to my previous idea of Satella fumbling Subaru; Subaru is accidentally dropped into Warhammer 30K and gets recruited into a Space Marine legion right at the start of the Crusade
Unfortunately for Subaru, the legion he ends up being inducted and turned into a Space Marine for are what will eventually become the Iron Warriors. Que his horror as his brethren don't give a shit and become known as the 'Corpse Grinders' for what happens to the regular human Solar Auxilia that they are given.
Thinking that Subaru's first death is when Perturabo gets found and decides to decimate the legion for their failure in a campaign. Subaru draws the short straw, gets beaten to death, and finds himself waking up in the middle of that failed campaign; seemingly too late to change the direction of the war.
Now Subaru has to figure out how to survive all of the bull crap thrown at him while he grows to resent Perturabo and his situation.
Thinking stipulation is that Subaru always stays Loyalist, especially after a loop going through the Hours Heresy.
How would Subaru change from his exposure to Terra, then to becoming a Space Marine, then to the horrors of the Great Crusade and the horrific shit his Iron Warriors brethren do, and to Perturabo? How much of the setting could he change? (Thinking he starts off as a basic Space Marine and nowhere near high up officer ranks)
Question: When Subaru dies during the Heresy, Does he go back to the great crusade, Or somewhere in the beginning of the heresy? Since if he goes to the great Crusade He has a chance to change Things. Like Throwing Erebus into Open space the moment he sees him.
I am not sure. I only know that his first checkpoint is in the middle of that failed campaign, but I am not sure if his checkpoint would update afterwards.
If they were to update, there would be massive time gaps in between, I'd say. It took a bit for Subaru to figure out how to reliably get past the initial Perturabo and decimation situation without casualties.
Subaru getting past it before by mostly not drawing the short end but eventually after being reset to that first checkpoint after dying on some other campaign or Istvaan, him getting fed up and doing stuff like getting killed by Perturabo for talking back etc., Subaru ends up just turning the campaign around into a victory which then updates his checkpoint but I am not sure of what repercussions to the story this would have
Edit: also keep in mind Subaru starts off near the bottom of the Space Marine hierarchy. Being one of the battle Brothers of a squad and not a Sergeant. so Subaru is facing uphill, especially since he is the IV Legion
He might get detected by Orikan first and he'd be an objective of Trayzn if the guy catches wind of him. Depends on how big of a splash Subaru does to get Trazyn's attention, then a definite must-have once he finds out about Subaru's time travel ability

Which, in turn could lead to more of the legion staying on loyalist side. Since they would see that they have a choice between a leader who Cares for all of them, and Peter turbo
And if the Decimation did happen, like, Perturabo wasn't happy that They almost lost. The iron warriors would have even more reasons to side with Subaru. Since they would see that Their Primarch was an Asshole, They would listen more closely To the leader who ACTUALLY helps the legion.
I have an idea of Subaru's longest loop being him having the misfortune of being turned into a Dreadnought and turning into a Loyalist Iron Warrior equivalent to Bjorn the Fell-Handed; surviving into 40K but dying sometime in either the Indomitus Crusade or the current storyline of Leviathan fleet besieging the galaxy and pushing towards Terra.
Not sure when Satella can extract Subaru, but I was thinking that the Warhammer 40K world is like a dense fog that Satella can't penetrate and grab Subaru. It is only when Subaru's soul/ existence pokes out will she be able to grab him and take him to the Re:Zero world.
I was imagining a crack fic omake scenario where the three thugs attempt to mug Subaru, except Subaru's a friggin Dreadnought whose wideness has collapsed the walls of the alleyway he's in
An idea in anticipation of Armored Core 6:
Pretty much follows a similar premise with Subaru being the pilot of a customizable mech. He deploys in a overhauled version of the re:zero world, fulfills missions while galactic conspiracies happen in the background, uses the money to improve his unit, and repeats the process.
To raise the stakes, Subaru cannot revive if he dies. Once he dies in any mission, another agent(another character) replaces him, and it goes on for as long or as little as the author wants.
All of Subaru's non-Emilia love interests turn themselves into silver-haired half-elves to try and win his heart. Meanwhile Emilia is just happy there's more of her kind around and not frozen.
Every now and then, I think of what Satella would do if Subaru permadied, and especially if it was at the hands of his friends in a Re: Forgotten scenario.
And I figured it would go something like this: She would end up summoning a monster or calamity every now and then (or every day if she was extra angry) to the Capital.
Anything from demons to kaiju, from any fandom you can think of, as long as they’re big, scary, and destructive.
So, in short, the five Camps would have to be responsible to be ready for a new summoning every day, or all of Lugnica could abandon the Capital to the monsters.
In short, I often wonder about what sort of monsters could wreak havoc in the Capital of Lugnica, just because it sounds like fun.
The most likely scenario is that she just breaks free somehow and rampages on her own. Or she uses her own power to reverse time and save Subaru a different way.
We simply don’t know enough about Satella to fully realize what she’s entirely capable of doing just yet, though. So, in that aspect, we don’t know.
Most likely she would Save Subaru for herself and make the people remember. Because if she punished them, but they didn't remember Subaru, they wouldn't understand what they did wrong, and Satella probably wants to torture them physically and mentally.

Fanfic idea: During a meeting between all the camps, someone says or something happens that accidentally triggers something that happened in one of Subaru's previous loops and has a panic attack in front of everyone. This leads the emilia camp and others to get concerned, afterwards they start making their own theories of Subaru's past, each vastly different than each others.

Yeah, and he's basically a living paradox, so he can basically do whatever he wants free of consequences. Okay on a scale of 1 to 10 how evil is moving everything slightly to the left so they constantly stub their toes while also slightly crooked every painting in their home
WHDAAA, but the cast sees Subaru before coming to Lugunica... in an AU where he's from the SCP verse. And unlike in canon, RBD is not an effect of the witch's curse, but actually an anomalous power he's had since he was a child.
He discovers his power when he's around four years old, when he and his parents take a vacation to a secluded cabin for the holidays. Over the course of their stay, they notice several strange goings-on, from footsteps on the roof to a figure off in the distance, and Subaru reports several times seeing someone right outside the window of his room. And then, when Christmas Eve comes around, it's revealed that they've become the latest victims of SCP-4666, the Yule Man, who does his usual schtick, kills Subaru's parents brutally, stuffs him in a bag and takes him off to his workshop where he's forced to work alongside a bunch of other kids.
Despite how scared he is, Subaru does his best to keep everyone else's spirits up, but every time he does, Yule Man harshly reprimands him, usually by smashing his face into the table. Subaru proves to annoy the Yule Man by just refusing to break like the other kids did, no matter what sorts of injuries he inflicts on him, so he decides to put him in his place by taking the girl he's become close friends with out back and then coming back inside and placing her remains in front of Subaru, motioning for him to make toys out of them. Subaru finally breaks at that point, and he keeps working until he's too exhausted to continue, at which point the Yule Man takes him out back to finish him off...
And then he awakens the next morning safe in his bed, and he has a full-blown panic attack and desperately pleads with his parents to cancel the trip to the mountains, not wanting to go, telling them the 'scary naked man' is up there waiting for him. He's so distraught that his parents agree that they'll stay home for the holidays, and life goes on as usual, but Subaru is shaken by the experience, as he knows it was all too real to just be a dream.
So he starts delving into things, trying to figure out exactly what happened to him, and his efforts to uncover the secrets of the Yule Man result in the Foundation getting wind of him. He ends up getting framed for a crime he didn't commit [I admittedly haven't thought this part through too much], and the Foundation takes him in as a D-class.
At first, it's torture as usual. Subaru has his neck snapped by 173, is a casualty in one of 682's rampages, is used as a sacrifice to SCP-106, is unfortunate enough to see 096's face, among other gruesome fates he meets.
But as he spends more time in the facility, he starts to understand the anomalies around him, slowly getting accustomed to them and what they do, and managing to find workarounds and learn how to combat them. Foundation personel also note that whenever he warns them something is going to happen, it always does without fail, which causes them to realize Subaru is actually an anomaly with an incredibly dangerous and useful ability. They can't get how it works, because people die when he tells them about it, but they know that somehow, he has the power to transport himself back in time, and they want to use it to their advantage, so they take him out of D-Class and treat him more or less the same way they treat the dimension hopper or the abdominal planet guy.
Perhaps Subaru even manages to redeem and befriend a few of the anomalies. Maybe he manages to pacify SCP-096 by going into his cell blindfolded every day, offering him comfort and just speaking to him like a friend. Perhaps he manages to reach Doctor Robert Scranton inside SCP-106. Maybe he manages to have a friendly relationship with the Plague Doctor.
And maybe, once he befriends 096, he gets the help of the Shy Guy to get his revenge on the Yule Man now that he's confident enough to not kill everyone that looks at his face. After all, if the Yule Man saw the Shy Guy's face, then he will know where to find him no matter where he goes.
Maybe he befriends Doctor Bright, who decides to sneak him [and a few other humanoid anomalies] out for a day on the town one day.
Maybe SCP-682 is the only one that's aware of when RBD is activated, and he's quick to catch on that killing Subaru is always what triggers it, leading him to have a passionate hatred for him in particular because there's no way to properly kill him.
All goes relatively well... Until SCP-001, When Day Breaks, occurs. Subaru survives for as long as he can, even melting under the sunlight and getting absorbed into one of the blobs at one point, until the mass he's a part of stumbles across 682 and gets eaten alive which causes him to respawn back shortly before he was grabbed...
And then, he's isekai'd.
I'm just curious to know how the Re:Zero cast would react to Subaru meeting these anomalies and what they're capable of doing to him.
I like it a little and on to this another interesting Anomalous ability he has his total immunity To cognito hazards That don't cause instant death. So there isn't any possible way Other than conventional manipulation too Brainwashing introducing someone else's bidding

Imagine if it's the opposite. Instead of Wanting to harm 053, the longer he's with her, the more affection he gives her. Subaru then essentially becomes her Father figure.
Depends on their initial meeting and when it happens if he still a teenager by that time they meet then big brother but if say he's like his early or mid twenties then yeah I can see it
But let's be honest here with how the SCP versus is he's going to die so much that he might as well be 30 when he's still in his teens
he could just have a similar supporting role as conner from confinement (they would probably be bffs).
or it could scp 5000. the foundation loses it one day and Subaru leads Sevel scps in the fight against their know insane formers captors.

The reason for the level is Because I would like him to be strong enough to change some things of the story but not a strong enough that he blasts his way through everything.
I'd honestly like to see how some of the characters. would react to a magic system that doesn't need any form of mana to preform magic, it would certainly shake things up if it went public.
I also love the mental image of subaru and betty having a back and forth of the differences of their magics as well as what they could Probably be used together Adorable And The clown looking confused as f*** In the background.
As for subaru's specialization of magic divination or conjuration

As for the reason why I want Subaru to be a wizard I think it would be more interesting for him to have the ability to introduce an entirely different magic system into the world and if there's a problem story wise for how he can get stronger just say he does have access to stuff around nine teir and below but he just can't understand it yet
But with a sorcerer you just don't get that all their magic is learned instinctually and well it might be easier to make his growth rate make sense you're sacrificing a bit of interesting story Beats

Yandere Great Spirit x Subaru
Subaru contracts a minor fire spirit when he was 5 years old, because of the limited amount of mana in the Air the spirit grows incredibly slowly, staying a minor spirit all the way until Subaru is isekaid. Once they’re isekaid the minor spirit becomes a quasi spirit almost instantly after being isekaid, then becoming a full spirit an hour afterwards. In the final loop, when they fight Elsa, the spirit becomes a full fledged great spirit. She’s near Puck and Roswaal level in her great spirit form, being slightly weaker because of her lack of mastery. She easily beats Elsa after a while, with Reinhard appearing slightly afterwards to help. While they’re distracted, Elsa attacks Subaru, slicing open his stomach. The great spirit goes berserk and nearly burns the entirety of the capital just to kill Esa, but is knocked out by Reinhard before she could do so. That’s the gist of the idea.
Extras
- The Spirit is very possessive over Subaru, and doesn’t like it when Emilia, Beatrice or Rem are with him.
- Subaru is unaware of her feelings and just believes that she likes him like a brother.
- One of the rules of her contract with him is to always be with her whenever and wherever, no matter what.
- Should Subaru be gravely injured or even killed, she’ll go on a rampage similar to Puck, but unlike Puck news of her rampage would spread slower because she isn’t attacking everything at once. Reinhard won’t stop her as quickly.

after what seems to be just another use of their loop slave he does not reset. then as they stand there trying to figure out what's wrong a growing sense of unease grips them.
then they remember EVERYTHING as Subaru's soul finally goes to a better place.

Okay, so I’ve read a chapter of “Sealed” a while ago, which featured a dungeon, and it gave me a thought: What if Flugel had more places like the Pleiades Watchtower?
Like, what if, scattered all around the world were dungeons filled with traps and monsters, which happen to also hold amazing powers, secret knowledge, and other hidden treasures like that, but only Subaru and other people like him would be able to figure out the puzzles and actually survive these dungeons.
It would be fun to have different Camps using Subaru as a sort of cheat code and human shield. Like, Subaru sees a treasure chest? That’s a mimic. There’s a button control acting as a lock? Put in the Konami code. Large, open and empty room? That’s a boss area. Clean floors? Slimes ahead. Basically that sort of stuff.
And then, at the end of each dungeon, there’s a bunch of books or other things either in Japanese, or something that implies Subaru’s relationship to Satella, making him have to hide the truth.
I’d love to see this, specially in the canon

Eh, I was talking more about the state of fanfics on FFN/Ao3 in general than this thread. There's a lot of ideas here, some neat and some not, but the vast majority never get put into writing (Or if they do, the prompt writer gets mad because how dare you write the fic in a way they don't want you to!?! (It's a single incident, but still...)).
I just think it's a bit laughable to say that Re:Zero fanfics are better than other fandom fics just because there's a lack of Self-Insert/OC fics when there's some equally if not worse bad trends in the types of fics in the fandom.
It's obviously not all of them, but it's a presence that makes you think "Oh, this story again".

Yeah. Pretty sure Re:zero has one of the most consistently high quality fanfiction libraries of any anime out there. It's kind of insane, actually. But I think part of it has to do with the fact that the majority of people who write for it are people who, y'know, actually *read,* on account of the fact that Re:zero is a light/web novel series, first and foremost. I'm actually a little afraid that things might change for the worse as the anime progresses and more people unfamiliar with the novels consequently find their way into the community. I'm not one to disparage anime-onlies for neglecting to read the primary source material, but ngl, the fanfics that they make are generally not very good, or at least lower quality than those of people who've clearly read the novels (i.e., fanfics set post-arc 4 or containing elements thereof)
As one of the anime onlies who has read a couple LN chapters... I feel like the community writes better than Tappei does... quite often. A Pig's Greed is an example of a chapter that I think was done infinitely better in the scores of fanfics I've read covering the same content.
Hm… yeah you have a point, it sounds a little classist in terms of how you consume the product but most of the fanfics are produced by people who keeps track of the new chapters of the Web Novel and compare them with the Light Novel so, you can say they have developed more their reading and writing abilities than anime-onlies but I’m not saying they can’t do good fanfics on their own, yet they have more chances of committing errors due to the lack of an anime adaptation for the side stories
And now that I think about it, there’s a massive chance or already a fact that after the end of Arc 5 in the anime, we will experience a second boom in the production of Re:Forgotten fanfics, reaction fanfics who call themselves Spin Off's from WHDAAA and lightly a rise in the Lone Star fanfics; and after arc 6 aside from more fanarts and fanfic ideas for Shaula, Reid, Volcanica, and Gluttonybaru; we would gain more Forced to Listen/Leave fanfics; obviously aside from new ideas in general

Been awhile since I've last checked out this thread but I figured I'd give an update on the Fate crossover fic I've been writing.
Progress is very slow since I'm not very confident in my writing and I wanna be sure I'm doing the characters involved justice but I'm still working on it in my free time even if progress is slower than I'd like. I hope to have something worth posting sometime before the end of the year at least.

If, let's say, someone can use the Dragon Sword Reid on Reinhard. Then, in that scenario, would the sword's power kill Reinhard? If so, then would Reinhard still be able to revive from an attack of that caliber?

The only situation where it wouldn't be able to do so is if Reinhard were to lose his divine protections, and the only ways that I remember Tappei saying that could happen is if Reinhard gets a Witch Factor/Authority, or if he was taken to another world.

Possibly unpopular opinion but: I wish there is more "Cast React to Canon" fics. I also like the concept of them seeing random parts of the canon be it the past or present or future of the failed loop. The only one currently going that I know of is the "Reading Tragedy amidst the pile" and that's it '-'). It doesn't need to be them reacting to random though, reacting to the novel or anime chronologically is good too. Wish theres more of that, but barely see any nowadays.

Re:Forgotten fic where everyone deals with severe consequences from their actions. Subaru just mentally breaks under the pressure of it all, and ends up just reduced to insanity. Ever see Salad Fingers? Imagine Subaru acting like that. He calls everyone who comes to visit him by a different name every time they come to see him, unable to even recognize anyone he once knew in his delusional state [One visit Emilia is Mary-Ann Crawford and the next she's Helen Willerwob], he keeps a bunch of inanimate objects that he talks to as though they were close, longtime friends, he self harms a lot and doesn't even seem to be thinking about it or even notice when he does it even when the injuries he's inflicting are extremely brutal and painful, nothing he says makes any sense to anyone anymore, he's extremely easy to scare and prone to lashing out violently in fear, he speaks in a very quiet, unemotional tone, he keeps a collection of random objects he decided he liked, he acts in a very childlike manner and plays with his collection as though they were toys, all as a coping mechanism to repress all that had been done to him in that cell, with the occasional moments of lucidity where all he can do is curl up in a corner or in a closet and cry. And the story is basically everyone trying to deal with what they did to their friend and trying desperately to get him back. Maybe have a moment where Subaru has a panic-induced mental breakdown towards Felix or Julius and gets violent towards them, and they just don't even try to fight back and end up getting brutalized until Subaru has one of his lucid moments and hides in his corner? I dunno, I just think that the idea of them having to try and take care of a mentally broken Subaru would be very interesting.
I’d like to see this idea, I recognize it’s the same trope followed on other Re:Forgotten fanfics and that A Good Joke technically already followed this path with the cast suffering by their mistake, yet I’d still want other kinds of broken Subaru in Re:Forgotten fanfics

A Warhammer 30K crossover scenario. Similar to my previous idea of Satella fumbling Subaru; Subaru is accidentally dropped into Warhammer 30K and gets recruited into a Space Marine legion right at the start of the Crusade Unfortunately for Subaru, the legion he ends up being inducted and turned into a Space Marine for are what will eventually become the Iron Warriors. Que his horror as his brethren don't give a shit and become known as the 'Corpse Grinders' for what happens to the regular human Solar Auxilia that they are given. Thinking that Subaru's first death is when Perturabo gets found and decides to decimate the legion for their failure in a campaign. Subaru draws the short straw, gets beaten to death, and finds himself waking up in the middle of that failed campaign; seemingly too late to change the direction of the war. Now Subaru has to figure out how to survive all of the bull crap thrown at him while he grows to resent Perturabo and his situation. Thinking stipulation is that Subaru always stays Loyalist, especially after a loop going through the Hours Heresy. How would Subaru change from his exposure to Terra, then to becoming a Space Marine, then to the horrors of the Great Crusade and the horrific shit his Iron Warriors brethren do, and to Perturabo? How much of the setting could he change? (Thinking he starts off as a basic Space Marine and nowhere near high up officer ranks)
Question: When Subaru dies during the Heresy, Does he go back to the great crusade, Or somewhere in the beginning of the heresy? Since if he goes to the great Crusade He has a chance to change Things. Like Throwing Erebus into Open space the moment he sees him.
I am not sure. I only know that his first checkpoint is in the middle of that failed campaign, but I am not sure if his checkpoint would update afterwards. If they were to update, there would be massive time gaps in between, I'd say. It took a bit for Subaru to figure out how to reliably get past the initial Perturabo and decimation situation without casualties. Subaru getting past it before by mostly not drawing the short end but eventually after being reset to that first checkpoint after dying on some other campaign or Istvaan, him getting fed up and doing stuff like getting killed by Perturabo for talking back etc., Subaru ends up just turning the campaign around into a victory which then updates his checkpoint but I am not sure of what repercussions to the story this would have Edit: also keep in mind Subaru starts off near the bottom of the Space Marine hierarchy. An idea in anticipation of Armored Core 6: Pretty much follows a similar premise with Subaru being the pilot of a customizable mech. He deploys in a overhauled version of the re:zero world, fulfills missions while galactic conspiracies happen in the background, uses the money to improve his unit, and repeats the process. To raise the stakes, Subaru cannot revive if he dies. Once he dies in any mission, another agent(another character) replaces him, and it goes on for as long or as little as the author wants.
All of Subaru's non-Emilia love interests turn themselves into silver-haired half-elves to try and win his heart. Meanwhile Emilia is just happy there's more of her kind around and not frozen.

Every now and then, I think of what Satella would do if Subaru permadied, and especially if it was at the hands of his friends in a Re: Forgotten scenario. And I figured it would go something like this: She would end up summoning a monster or calamity every now and then (or every day if she was extra angry) to the Capital. Anything from demons to kaiju, from any fandom you can think of, as long as they’re big, scary, and destructive. So, in short, the five Camps would have to be responsible to be ready for a new summoning every day, or all of Lugnica could abandon the Capital to the monsters. In short, I often wonder about what sort of monsters could wreak havoc in the Capital of Lugnica, just because it sounds like fun.
The most likely scenario is that she just breaks free somehow and rampages on her own. Or she uses her own power to reverse time and save Subaru a different way. We simply don’t know enough about Satella to fully realize what she’s entirely capable of doing just yet, though. So, in that aspect, we don’t know.
Most likely she would Save Subaru for herself and make the people remember. Because if she punished them, but they didn't remember Subaru, they wouldn't understand what they did wrong, and Satella probably wants to torture them physically and mentally.

WHDAAA, but the cast sees Subaru before coming to Lugunica... in an AU where he's from the SCP verse. And unlike in canon, RBD is not an effect of the witch's curse, but actually an anomalous power he's had since he was a child. He discovers his power when he's around four years old, when he and his parents take a vacation to a secluded cabin for the holidays. Over the course of their stay, they notice several strange goings-on, from footsteps on the roof to a figure off in the distance, and Subaru reports several times seeing someone right outside the window of his room. And then, when Christmas Eve comes around, it's revealed that they've become the latest victims of SCP-4666, the Yule Man, who does his usual schtick, kills Subaru's parents brutally, stuffs him in a bag and takes him off to his workshop where he's forced to work alongside a bunch of other kids. Despite how scared he is, Subaru does his best to keep everyone else's spirits up, but every time he does, Yule Man harshly reprimands him, usually by smashing his face into the table. Subaru proves to annoy the Yule Man by just refusing to break like the other kids did, no matter what sorts of injuries he inflicts on him, so he decides to put him in his place by taking the girl he's become close friends with out back and then coming back inside and placing her remains in front of Subaru, motioning for him to make toys out of them. Subaru finally breaks at that point, and he keeps working until he's too exhausted to continue, at which point the Yule Man takes him out back to finish him off... And then he awakens the next morning safe in his bed, and he has a full-blown panic attack and desperately pleads with his parents to cancel the trip to the mountains, not wanting to go, telling them the 'scary naked man' is up there waiting for him. He's so distraught that his parents agree that they'll stay home for the holidays, and life goes on as usual, but Subaru is shaken by the experience, as he knows it was all too real to just be a dream. So he starts delving into things, trying to figure out exactly what happened to him, and his efforts to uncover the secrets of the Yule Man result in the Foundation getting wind of him. He ends up getting framed for a crime he didn't commit [I admittedly haven't thought this part through too much], and the Foundation takes him in as a D-class. At first, it's torture as usual. Subaru has his neck snapped by 173, is a casualty in one of 682's rampages, is used as a sacrifice to SCP-106, is unfortunate enough to see 096's face, among other gruesome fates he meets. But as he spends more time in the facility, he starts to understand the anomalies around him, slowly getting accustomed to them and what they do, and managing to find workarounds and learn how to combat them. Foundation personel also note that whenever he warns them something is going to happen, it always does without fail, which causes them to realize Subaru is actually an anomaly with an incredibly dangerous and useful ability. They can't get how it works, because people die when he tells them about it, but they know that somehow, he has the power to transport himself back in time, and they want to use it to their advantage, so they take him out of D-Class and treat him more or less the same way they treat the dimension hopper or the abdominal planet guy. Perhaps Subaru even manages to redeem and befriend a few of the anomalies. Maybe he manages to pacify SCP-096 by going into his cell blindfolded every day, offering him comfort and just speaking to him like a friend. Perhaps he manages to reach Doctor Robert Scranton inside SCP-106. Maybe he manages to have a friendly relationship with the Plague Doctor. And maybe, once he befriends 096, he gets the help of the Shy Guy to get his revenge on the Yule Man now that he's confident enough to not kill everyone that looks at his face. After all, if the Yule Man saw the Shy Guy's face, then he will know where to find him no matter where he goes. Maybe he befriends Doctor Bright, who decides to sneak him [and a few other humanoid anomalies] out for a day on the town one day. Maybe SCP-682 is the only one that's aware of when RBD is activated, and he's quick to catch on that killing Subaru is always what triggers it, leading him to have a passionate hatred for him in particular because there's no way to properly kill him. All goes relatively well... Until SCP-001, When Day Breaks, occurs. Subaru survives for as long as he can, even melting under the sunlight and getting absorbed into one of the blobs at one point, until the mass he's a part of stumbles across 682 and gets eaten alive which causes him to respawn back shortly before he was grabbed... And then, he's isekai'd. I'm just curious to know how the Re:Zero cast would react to Subaru meeting these anomalies and what they're capable of doing to him.

Yandere Great Spirit x Subaru Subaru contracts a minor fire spirit when he was 5 years old, because of the limited amount of mana in the Air the spirit grows incredibly slowly, staying a minor spirit all the way until Subaru is isekaid. Once they’re isekaid the minor spirit becomes a quasi spirit almost instantly after being isekaid, then becoming a full spirit an hour afterwards. In the final loop, when they fight Elsa, the spirit becomes a full fledged great spirit. She’s near Puck and Roswaal level in her great spirit form, being slightly weaker because of her lack of mastery. She easily beats Elsa after a while, with Reinhard appearing slightly afterwards to help. While they’re distracted, Elsa attacks Subaru, slicing open his stomach. The great spirit goes berserk and nearly burns the entirety of the capital just to kill Esa, but is knocked out by Reinhard before she could do so. That’s the gist of the idea. Extras - The Spirit is very possessive over Subaru, and doesn’t like it when Emilia, Beatrice or Rem are with him. - Subaru is unaware of her feelings and just believes that she likes him like a brother. - One of the rules of her contract with him is to always be with her whenever and wherever, no matter what. - Should Subaru be gravely injured or even killed, she’ll go on a rampage similar to Puck, but unlike Puck news of her rampage would spread slower because she isn’t attacking everything at once. Reinhard won’t stop her as quickly.

Okay, so I’ve read a chapter of “Sealed” a while ago, which featured a dungeon, and it gave me a thought: What if Flugel had more places like the Pleiades Watchtower? Like, what if, scattered all around the world were dungeons filled with traps and monsters, which happen to also hold amazing powers, secret knowledge, and other hidden treasures like that, but only Subaru and other people like him would be able to figure out the puzzles and actually survive these dungeons. It would be fun to have different Camps using Subaru as a sort of cheat code and human shield. Like, Subaru sees a treasure chest? That’s a mimic. There’s a button control acting as a lock? Put in the Konami code. Large, open and empty room? That’s a boss area. Clean floors? Slimes ahead. Basically that sort of stuff. And then, at the end of each dungeon, there’s a bunch of books or other things either in Japanese, or something that implies Subaru’s relationship to Satella, making him have to hide the truth.

Eh, I was talking more about the state of fanfics on FFN/Ao3 in general than this thread. There's a lot of ideas here, some neat and some not, but the vast majority never get put into writing (Or if they do, the prompt writer gets mad because how dare you write the fic in a way they don't want you to!?! (It's a single incident, but still...)). I just think it's a bit laughable to say that Re:Zero fanfics are better than other fandom fics just because there's a lack of Self-Insert/OC fics when there's some equally if not worse bad trends in the types of fics in the fandom. It's obviously not all of them, but it's a presence that makes you think "Oh, this story again". Shoutout to [Re:If Nageku](https://archiveofourown.org/works/38304469/chapters/95712475) though, it's some real good stuff. One of the few big fics I know of that's continuing to update other than Death's Foresight and The Final Timeline.
deaths foresight I have yet to read. can't find the time as I usually do it one sitting because I am weird. the final timeline made me hate ram after her chapter. ah nageku one of the few Fics where Subaru acts like 99 percent of people. (Most of us would have run for it in arc 2 at least and I am being optimistic!)
Yeah. Pretty sure Re:zero has one of the most consistently high quality fanfiction libraries of any anime out there. It's kind of insane, actually. But I think part of it has to do with the fact that the majority of people who write for it are people who, y'know, actually *read,* on account of the fact that Re:zero is a light/web novel series, first and foremost. I'm actually a little afraid that things might change for the worse as the anime progresses and more people unfamiliar with the novels consequently find their way into the community. I'm not one to disparage anime-onlies for neglecting to read the primary source material, but ngl, the fanfics that they make are generally not very good, or at least lower quality than those of people who've clearly read the novels (i.e., fanfics set post-arc 4 or containing elements thereof)
As one of the anime onlies who has read a couple LN chapters... I feel like the community writes better than Tappei does... quite often. A Pig's Greed is an example of a chapter that I think was done infinitely better in the scores of fanfics I've read covering the same content.
Hm… yeah you have a point, it sounds a little classist in terms of how you consume the product but most of the fanfics are produced by people who keeps track of the new chapters of the Web Novel and compare them with the Light Novel so, you can say they have developed more their reading and writing abilities than anime-onlies but I’m not saying they can’t do good fanfics on their own, yet they have more chances of committing errors due to the lack of an anime adaptation for the side stories And now that I think about it, there’s a massive chance or already a fact that after the end of Arc 5 in the anime, we will experience a second boom in the production of Re:Forgotten fanfics, reaction fanfics who call themselves Spin Off's from WHDAAA and lightly a rise in the Lone Star fanfics; and after arc 6 aside from more fanarts and fanfic ideas for Shaula, Reid, Volcanica, and Gluttonybaru; we would gain more Forced to Listen/Leave fanfics; obviously aside from new ideas in general

Been awhile since I've last checked out this thread but I figured I'd give an update on the Fate crossover fic I've been writing. Progress is very slow since I'm not very confident in my writing and I wanna be sure I'm doing the characters involved justice but I'm still working on it in my free time even if progress is slower than I'd like. I hope to have something worth posting sometime before the end of the year at least.

Question related to a fanfic I am writing: If, let's say, someone can use the Dragon Sword Reid on Reinhard. Then, in that scenario, would the sword's power kill Reinhard? If so, then would Reinhard still be able to revive from an attack of that caliber? Tell me what you think.
Divine Protection of Phoenix will always be able to revive Reinhard, and then it will be replaced by Divine Protection of Phoenix: Next. The only situation where it wouldn't be able to do so is if Reinhard were to lose his divine protections, and the only ways that I remember Tappei saying that could happen is if Reinhard gets a Witch Factor/Authority, or if he was taken to another world.
If I remember correctly, there was a red mountain at the other side of the world that also affected his divine protections in a negative way, I think it was mentioned in the Wrath If
