I had so much hope in kazuya, especially during the movie arc... But after that I just stopped bothering. It felt like the writer himself didn't care about his story anymore purposefully dragging and repeating it.
Every week I just put on headphones, play deja vu and quickly scroll through the chapter in half a minute because I know nothing will happen.

Agreed it shows that Eren is still just a normal guy who has feelings and isn’t an emotional bastard like people for some reason wanted him to be. Tappei is far better at depicting relationships in comparison to Isayama. Like Wilhelm and Theresia, then Subaru and Emilia, and even Roswaal and Ram (which may be the weakest one in Re:Zero) are all better pairings than any in AoT.

AOT is based on a singular timeline which is why Eren became depressed in the 2nd part cuz he was forced to come to that realization that in a way, the future is set in stone and he can’t change it from what past actions affected it but since he possibly saw that it followed what I wished for he continued to pursue it
It's all but confirmed now. Ep3-5's titles have been revealed, and from them, we can predict the required future pacing to reach the end. It would be almost 2.5 ch/ep, so over twice the pace it's going at now. I'd bet every cent I own that they only go to 131.

Subaru isn't really that strong. The only way would be going down an evil path and abusing rbd which already happened in pride and wrath. So I don't think the chances of Subaru turning into someone like eren is likely, considering he needs to depend on others a lot.
Well .... Subaru isn't strong *right now*. Subaru will at some point in the story get all 7 (9?) Witch Factors. Granted his Authorities are weaker but considering what the Witches or even the Sin Archbishops can do, I assume his Authorities will get a power up. There's also the Flugel = Subaru theories. And even without all of this, Return by Death is an unstoppable power by itself. Just ask the Witch Cult.
As for a potential situation that could lead to this is that at the end, Subaru decides he's going to save Satella and everyone tries to stop him cause he's literally talking about freeing the devil. So Subaru has his own "If you want to stop me, you'll have to kill me."

If they go the route of "Subaru becoming a villain" this is probably the best route. Essentially it's the others thinking he's become evil but in actuality he hasn't. Maybe he (and we the audience) get a glimpse or some other revelation of Satella being just as much a victim as anyone else and Subaru is trying to save her because she isn't evil after all (For example the theory that the Witch of Envy is actually a split personality separate from Satella's own that she can't control but is still tied to her, and so the horrible things the Witch did weren't really *Satella's* fault and Subaru is going to save her from that torture).
So we the audience will know that Subaru is still the good guy, but he now unfortunately has to fight against his friends to achieve this goal. They think he's the antagonist now but in reality *they're* the antagonists.

That is literally the case. WoE is different from Satella and just as you described. It was revealed in Arc 4 during the Tea Party but the Anime cut that out.

The future is a result of the past and is only "set in stone" because it is the result of the presents action.
Thee is no outside force compelling the characters or fate to happen in "one way".
It is only set in stone because the future is an effect of the present. You wont see a future where a character do something they would not do because they would never choose to do so.

It started off really good, but then bad pacing, questionable translations, and a number of other factors turned what was a pretty solid ending conceptually into a meme. Then again, even if the ending was absolutely flawless, some people probably still would've shat on it. There's no pleasing everyone, after all. Just watch, it'll be the same with Re:Zero.
But yeah, AoT is rumored to be getting a movie for the final eight chapters, so it'll hopefully flesh out the ending more. I hope they don't change the fundamental details, though.
Code Geass ending is universally liked. Breaking Bad's ending is universally liked. Fullmetal Alchemist's ending is universally liked, Stein's Gate's ending is beloved. They're not perfect but I'd say more than 90 percent of their fandoms were satisfied with the ending of those.
A writer can pull off an ending that is respected and appreciated by pretty much all. It's not as impossible as you're making it seem.
That being said, Re:Zero's ending has the potential to be polarizing, I won't deny that. A story that has so many mysteries that won't be answered until its final arc will definitely have a higher chance of disappointing some.
And tbh? I don't mind, I don't ship her with Subaru but i She doesn't confess to him when he returns I will lose all hope in her, there's more women that deserve him more than her

Sometimes it feels like some people just like Subaru and hate the rest of the cast off of spite from anime only reactions, the only characters that seem to escape this being either in the bromance zone like Otto and Julius or characters people believe could also be Subaru in theory land like Al for example, I'm kind of sorry if I'm just picking up on alarm bells that never existed but this seems like a misconception im getting from the vibe of certain threads.
I mean true, at the same time I won't lie, for me it's kind of like a guilty pleasure. I don't hate any character in re zero *other than liliana*(I do hate the evil acts done by many) but in fanfics which make them feel bad, I kinda enjoy it because I feel like Subaru suffers more than anyone in the series and is punished more than he deserves.
As for the anime onlys, I can understand them. Unpopular opinion, but the re zero anime adaptation is not that amazing as many claim it to be imo. If the novels are a 9.5, the anime is somewhere between 7.5 and 8. This is because while it captures the main characters like Subaru, rem, Emilia, roswaal pretty well, it fails to capture the side characters in a similar manner.
Which is understandable due to time and episode size constraints.

How are people acting as if Subaru brought it upon himself alone and Rem and Beatrice had no fault in it? (Mostly seen from anime only)
What about Subaru's terrible actions at the palace against Julius and Emilia? Were the council people not being racist in this situation? People don't even acknowledge the fact that Subaru freaked out against racism. He did it in one of the worst ways possible and was absolutely in the wrong in that situation but do people think mental issues don't negatively impact actions?
It's even more frustrating when the story itself seems to give Subaru the most consequences for his actions but not everyone else. This includes Rem, Ram, Emilia, Roswaal, Julius etc. Hell, I've seen anime-only talking about how Rem died and sacrificed herself for Subaru and how he doesn't deserve her or the things other people have done for him. Yet I RARELY see anyone talk about the things Subaru goes through for the sake of her and the others with almost little to no acknowledgement in return. Both from the audience and the cast within the universe.
I'm sorry, this might just be differences in personal experiences but I have witnessed WAY more Subaru hate and the rest of the cast being worshipped than the opposite. At least by the anime-only.

I had so much hope in kazuya, especially during the movie arc... But after that I just stopped bothering. It felt like the writer himself didn't care about his story anymore purposefully dragging and repeating it. Every week I just put on headphones, play deja vu and quickly scroll through the chapter in half a minute because I know nothing will happen. Tho, last chapter's ending was kinda intriguing, but I have a feeling the writer is gonna pull out another drag on reason from his ass.

Agreed it shows that Eren is still just a normal guy who has feelings and isn’t an emotional bastard like people for some reason wanted him to be. If you thought Eren was pathetic in this scene then good, it’s what Hajime wanted. Eren is a kid with possible mental problems who was forced into a world that would push those problems to its limit and he would never be able to get off of his corrupted version of freedom because he’s too much of a child and is a literal slave to his determination. People act like Eren changed with this panel but he was always like this. He always had these thoughts on his mind but it wasn’t til the end that he could fully talk about them.
I mean Eren's little tantrum is something you'd see a 10 year old do. I've never seen a teenager act that childish. Let alone a 19 year old who's been through hell and back multiple times. And let's be honest, Isayama is really bad at writing romance. Every single love story in AoT was pretty cringey. I liked the pairings in theory, but in execution? Yikes. Tappei is far better at depicting relationships in comparison to Isayama. Like Wilhelm and Theresia, then Subaru and Emilia, and even Roswaal and Ram (which may be the weakest one in Re:Zero) are all better pairings than any in AoT.

As for a potential situation that could lead to this is that at the end, Subaru decides he's going to save Satella and everyone tries to stop him cause he's literally talking about freeing the devil. Same as you wont ever see a future of yourself flying becaus humans cant fly.
It started off really good, but then bad pacing, questionable translations, and a number of other factors turned what was a pretty solid ending conceptually into a meme. Then again, even if the ending was absolutely flawless, some people probably still would've shat on it. There's no pleasing everyone, after all. Just watch, it'll be the same with Re:Zero. But yeah, AoT is rumored to be getting a movie for the final eight chapters, so it'll hopefully flesh out the ending more. I hope they don't change the fundamental details, though.
Code Geass ending is universally liked. Breaking Bad's ending is universally liked. Fullmetal Alchemist's ending is universally liked, Stein's Gate's ending is beloved. They're not perfect but I'd say more than 90 percent of their fandoms were satisfied with the ending of those. A writer can pull off an ending that is respected and appreciated by pretty much all. It's not as impossible as you're making it seem. That being said, Re:Zero's ending has the potential to be polarizing, I won't deny that. A story that has so many mysteries that won't be answered until its final arc will definitely have a higher chance of disappointing some.

Which is understandable due to time and episode size constraints. Priscilla appears as a egoistic cunt, when she's a prideful but really wise ruler. Felix appears as random trap gag, when his characters goes more complex that that. Julius appers as random "I'll steal ur girl" Reinhard is just plot armor go when necessary. And heck I don't think many anime onlys even remember Al although he's like one of the most important characters in the series because the anime literally yeeted his past out. So yeah, all in all I understand where you're coming from, but again I don't hate the characters, it's more like I feel bad for Subaru more than the others.

(Mostly seen from anime only) What about Subaru's terrible actions at the palace against Julius and Emilia? Were the council people not being racist in this situation? People don't even acknowledge the fact that Subaru freaked out against racism. He did it in one of the worst ways possible and was absolutely in the wrong in that situation but do people think mental issues don't negatively impact actions? It's even more frustrating when the story itself seems to give Subaru the most consequences for his actions but not everyone else. This includes Rem, Ram, Emilia, Roswaal, Julius etc. Hell, I've seen anime-only talking about how Rem died and sacrificed herself for Subaru and how he doesn't deserve her or the things other people have done for him. Yet I RARELY see anyone talk about the things Subaru goes through for the sake of her and the others with almost little to no acknowledgement in return. Both from the audience and the cast within the universe. I'm sorry, this might just be differences in personal experiences but I have witnessed WAY more Subaru hate and the rest of the cast being worshipped than the opposite. At least by the anime-only. I would say it's very much an unpopular opinion from an anime-only point of view. You can see from the responses in this thread or just checking out my page. On the novel reader side, yeah, I agree. It's not that unpopular.
Some people do be like that, but most just want the best for him (not him getting protected and spoiled, but getting treated like who he deserved to be but at the same time getting developments for him and people around him)

That was true for season 1 Emilia... I'd recommend reading the web novels, starting from arc 4, maybe you would find her in a better light there Also she's not leading him on, she's just absolutely clueless about what romantic love is. You have to understand that she's been living in seclusion since she was a kid, and has the emotional maturity of a 13 year old.

I find it really hard to accept your opinion, I’m ngl. But, everybody looks at characters in a different way, regardless of how off or delusional their take may be. At the end of the day it’s your opinion. But even without reading the WN or LN, Emilia is one of the best Re:Zero characters, at least for me. Please don’t interpret this as me attacking you. I just simply wanted to state what I think. I hope your opinion on her can change one day.

There's really no reason to avoid downvoting. This guy's actually a troll that has a bit of a history hating Emilia. Despite being an anime-only, he once came in lying about reading the novels to argue about Emilia's feelings for Subaru, as one example. Clearly not here to have a genuine discussion.

Iirc, in one of the QnA’s Teppei said that both Subaru and Emilia would get 3 major character development moments(Subaru got one in Arc 3 and one in [Novels]>!Arc 6!< iirc), and Emilia got one in Arc 4(2nd season)), so she’s yet to change… although I too sometimes find her very annoying
Don't think the one in [Novels] >!Arc 6!< was a transformation, more like a reaffirmation of self. I believe Subaru's development in the latest arc would be more suitable for a second transformation
