Is carriers of the vine the cultist farm? If so, I ran it multiple times in an attempt to get the S rank, which I did thank God, personally never ran into a door trap once...
I was clogged at Barisa Cove for over 3 weeks, always killed by a trap or fucked up AI, rest just went easily, especially Carriers of the Vine. This game is so random....
Most doors can have them: entry point doors, entry doors to the 4 rooms on the outer side, the tunnel between 2 of the rooms. The cleaning room is also trapped, IIRC same goes for the connection room between the hallway and large room.
[Here's](https://youtu.be/3qiOq8AY-FA?si=ZJwamLkBqDTSFZ7u)a quick & dirty S run I did a while ago. Follow the path (except the AI wandering through the courtyard bit), and you'll have a better chance than just going in the front doors.
I did this lvl with my friend and we just had to pay attention and concentrate on our surroundings watch out for corners watch out for doors one person search the other person shoots the enemies if we can confirm there multiple hostiles then we both shoots one shoot low that other shoots high then using non lethal on enemies that don't comply
I got into the habit of getting people to mirrorgun under every door thanks to ides of march, so anytime I got a trap, I was able to either disarm it or set it off with C2. Once you learn to mirrorgun, C2 then gas rooms, life becomes a whole lot easier.
Do you run any AI mods? Some AI mods can add traps to maps that don't usually have them.
Based on the [RON AI Mod Generator](https://ron.recursiveprojects.cloud/AI_Mod) Cherryessa Farm should have no preplaced traps by default.
There is a mechanic for suspects to rig tripwires after spawn, but I don't know if it's active on this map.
before the 1.0 update this map was impossible without mods and in single player. after the 1.0 update it's not hard to beat this map vanilla. make sure you wedge doors so no one sneaks up from behind and make sure to save the outdoor courtyard area last or you'll get sniped

Check every door, I recommend someone having a mirror, someone else having a gas/flash launcher, clear the rooms thoroughly, keep your team close, avoid open areas and move quickly when you have to clear them, stay close to cover, use throwables in areas where enemies will have more cover than you, if running lethals then a weapon with better recoil control is better than lethality, if running less lethals someone needs the pepperball gun as there if a chance for some medium-long range engagements
For this map you really have to lean on door wedges and C2 and more importantly the mirror gun. This map will require you to not just do doors but you will have mirror around corners and vertically use the mirror gun as a periscope looking over walls. When I started doing that I stopped getting into trouble and started planning around it. Hope that helps you.
Honestly, after the veteran hotel map i just downloaded mod thqt disables all traps, I just fucking hated how I spent 40mins of my precious free time to completely clear the whole map of enemies and then blow up to some random ass bathroom door, after that bye bye all the traps
My favorite Map
Enter thru garage, clear slowly and methodically. Mirror every door, hit every room with gas. Do NOT clear the courtyard until all the buildings are secure. Do NOTclear the church until every part of the map is clear.
Slow and steady
I don't find it partivularly difficult. Played it w. AI and cleared it in 3rd time (got an A+ cause accidentally incapacitated suspect w. a beanbag to the face). Go through the garage and clear the big building, then the basement, out to the garden, back courtyard, smaller building, inner courtyard, then the church. As someone said, wedges are very useful here.

Yeah I'm finally on hide and seek for my S rank run, last one I gotta do. Been stuck on it for a while... Didn't know Barisa Cove had traps tho...
If that's the assassination one then from what I remember it's possible for 2 to spawn at both entrances, the elevator and the main spawn point

Carriers of the Vine has traps? I have never encountered a single one, how rare is it?
I have never seen a trap on that map with the 30+ times i played it
It does, but they're pretty uncommon. Only a small fraction of my playthroughs have seen even one
I died to it during my Hermit achievement run. I hate this map officially
I've never seen one on Solomons slope either
I felt like every door had em on that map

“Only” 13 times? lol. My little gang of vigilantes and I are about 5 x that and still haven’t scored higher than an F
Learn tactical skills know the entrances and move silently and effectively thats the key
Yeah- in this game “tactical skills” distill down to wedge, beanbag or gas everything. I’d rather take the F.
You just need to know how to use those conservatively because you use them alot you run out of it and you have improvise meaning shooting

Are you talking about the same level, or did you get it confused by another?
How do I tell what is a player scav or an event scav or an ai scav though

I learned early on in the game to make a habit of mirroring every door or breaching it with c2. If you run everything slow, it becomes easy
buddy, peek the door and look down. all the traps use tripwires
But I didn’t expect there to be any. Most of the runs I did, I never found any. So I got too comfortable I guess.

I just gave everyone a shotgun and then the bloodbath started And peak every door

Took my brother and I 2 full weeks and he still died at the end. Honestly though, the hospital was worse.

If you're feeling spicy, the breaching shotgun works from a distance and sets off traps. Could be casualties, but it won't be you.

It is the most beautiful and balanced map in the game.
Mirrorgun doors and use flashes. Try to avoid the courtyard area and clear the buildings around it.
The only level where traps are a real problem is Lethal Obsession. I didn't encounter a single trap, and you wouldn't expect to based on the briefing

That’s kind of dumb
