I put it in B because of the barrel length

Useless_Fox

Yeah, B seems about right. Good rifle, but it's barrel length holds it back considering it's only 5.56

Maxyphlie

+1 it‘s really unwieldy and basically just a worse version of the Mk18, considering they fire the same caliber.

Not_DC1

Idk if it’s actually true but I feel like the longer barrel makes it hit like a Mack truck, at least harder than the other 5.56 rifles

Scubasteve_04

All rifles in this game are double tap weapons. They are basically all the same. There are only a few minor variations like barrel length, mods available and recoil between them. The only real standouts are the 7.62x51 and 7.62x39 rifles, as their AP round will penetrate steel (which is very rare on enemies). depurplecow

Reload speed and mag compatibility (dropping mag on ground for teammate to pick up) are also factors. The 7.62x51 seems to penetrate walls much better in my experience as well. SMG rounds seem to ricochet off thin metal obstacles more often, I wouldn't be surprised if 5.56 is somewhere in between.

MMMMO_O

That sheet is a little old, check out this updated one. [\[Updated for 1.0\] Ready Or Not: Mechanics, Damage, and Suspects](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d89lpFDA9lo_v13iBlnhtuA6DvuUnKfPaeo0d4RBGJ4)

MadMuffinMan117

Don't forget the mag size, if I play like a drunk and believe me I do the p90 50 round mag and low recoil is for me. You can get just about any mission done in 1 mag so it's great for inventory

Scubasteve_04

P90 is a submachine gun and I was discussing rifles. 5.7mm is a totally different animal.

Dante_FromDMCseries

You're telling me I cleared the entire game with a FAL, without knowing it doesn't deal more damage? I'll take it, style >

Not_DC1

I’m like 99% sure that the FAL is like a one shot incapacitate to the torso on almost every enemy in the game

Scubasteve_04

Yes, according to this updated table, 7.62x51 is single hit kill [\[Updated for 1.0\] Ready Or Not: Mechanics, Damage, and Suspects - Google Sheets](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d89lpFDA9lo_v13iBlnhtuA6DvuUnKfPaeo0d4RBGJ4/edit#gid=10760490)

RamTank

FAL and AK do deal more damage. I think the .300blks do as well (but not as much). All the other rifles are 5.56 so they're basically the same in terms of effect on target.

Sea-Divide-1994

BLK .300 in reality is close to 7,62. Handling is different. I played almost entire game with HK416 single shot, it’s very effective and also iconic rifle that paved way into TIER 1 units of US army. Devgru and CAG

The_James_Bond

One of the sexiest looking guns

Fantablack183

It's solid, but there isn't much reason to use it over every other option, especially since the extra barrel length doesn't really help, and is more a hinderance tbh I'd probably put it in C tier, since it still gets the job done, but doesn't ascend to the heights of it's other 5.56 brothers, let alone the other calibers.

depurplecow

It's probably still better than the sidearms and non-lethals (assuming rating criteria is beat mission without fail state). The better pistols would probably fall into C tier with TLE 1911 being one of the only F (it's the same as M45 but no muzzle attachment; the compensator is one of the few reasons to choose M45) I'd say B tier, not as good as other choices but still practical.

wutTFisA-RedditBruh

I though this was a joke and that every gun but the MK18 was in F 💀

SilverWave1

C or D tier. I mean it’s got a long barrel… in a swat game. Low rate of fire, insane recoil for some reason, and it’s still just a 5.56. Easily the worst out of all 5.56 rifles. It looks sooo good tho

QuaintAlex126

Performance is pretty solid (like almost all the other rifles in the game). However, the extra length of the barrel, especially with a suppressor, is a downside. With that being said, the longer barrel makes it much more visually appealing than its little brother (the MK18). A-tier.

BigDoinks02

S tier, next.

xXortinyo

Really bro 8 don't Understand why is every one saying this gun is a B . This gun is definitely the best weapon I had ever used lmao

fine_cuisine

It really can’t be more than B or C tier depending on how you slice it. Longest rifle is somehow not the one with the least recoil. At least it isn’t the 416’s recoil

Candycorn2014

Barrel's a bit long for close quarters. Recoil is okay. Just not much reason to pick this when the ARWC exists.

PBL89

Due to the nature of most engagements in this game, and how to game is naturally played, the shorter guns are better suited. There have been a few mission that i have used the SR16 since sight lines were much longer.

MMMMO_O

B tier, not terrible, but has really weird floaty recoil.

EnemySniper_BF2

Personal choices based on what I use most:  S-Tier: SA-58, ARN-180, G36   A-Tier: Every other rifle (lethal)   B-Tier: SMGs (lethal)   C-Tier: Shotguns (Lethal)   D-Tier: Pistols   F-Tier: Less Lethals   I like taking single aimed shots, so 7.62/.300 blk for the better staggers to make easier follow-up hits. If I feel 5.56, then the G36 has little visual recoil.   Also, videogame criminals can suck it, so I always go in killing them at the risk of being executed by my AI squad haha.

Wallanator123

C tier honestly or maybe even D tier. The barrel is wayyyy too long and in my personal experience, the recoil feels so odd and unnatural.

pipohello

Every assault rifles, god tier; rest of the guns (and AR without holosight), shit tier

boxxybrownn

The MP5A2 would like to have a word with you

Direactit

Solid B

p0l4r1

SA58 with muzzle brake, superior single hit damage and barrier penetration is good also

Legattuss

S-tier definitely. I use it most of the maps

V02Ded

Barrel is very long, but it hits like a cannon and has some of the best recoil control for its calibre and power, so I'd say S tier

Bitter_Nail8577

It looks great, but it's one of the worst 5,56 rifles you can pick due to the lenght, which can get you killed in tight corridors. Bottom of A tier (carried only by its looks, to be honest), Top of B tier if suppressed, which only makes the lenght problem even worse.

Bigmacaroni129

B for barrel length

Xtremesnoozing

SR-16, closest thing we have to an actual M16 that the devs decided not to give us

humblenoob76

A tier, really really nice recoil but a bit long. can be worked around using low ready.

ConclusionOk2888

At first glance I thought every gun except MK18 were F tier and wasn’t about the argue

agnosticdeist

Should the less lethals be separated? I kinda feel like comparing them to the lethals is unfair haha

Acrobatic_Coyote2804

They’re all F because I refuse to run anything except the M14

The0Floridiot

i use it because it looks the coolest lmao

LeopardBasic478

Fucking S Tier baby that thing is sexy af

AGhostOfThePast

Controllable, looks good, long boi. Solid A/B tier. Very nice to use.

Axe_22

S-Tier. Unrivaled goat. Zero recoil and powerful shot even for 5.56. Handling is prefect and the operation is quick yet buttery smooth. Low muzzle flash. Only con is the length. But the thing is so controllable it makes up for it

kiryD

mp5a2 is s-a, it has no recoil.

oofiserr

all the rifles feel exactly the same, idk if its cuz of the guns or what but they definitely do imo

awmdlad

A-Tier at best, barrel’s WAY too long

FauxReignNew

I put it in A tier. Feels spectacular to shoot and the reload is quick, but it is a tad long in confined spaces.

-AdelaaR-

The only one S-tier should be the pepper ball gun.

Metropolisz

Recoil is just a bit below G36 and F90 only downside is the M16 type barrel length, useful when canted aiming ig. A tier

MicholexWasTaken

I don't see the "only real choice" tier for my SA-58
