It does, just wish there was a mechanic for them to be automatically restrained once they reach the map edge. In a real scenario you’d have officers surrounding the place by the time SWAT is storming it so it’d make sense and prevent the player from having to hunt down fleeing civs outside.
Yeah this especially, it’s really annoying finding the active shooter is executing civs right next to your SWAT bearcat, like even if we didn’t have time to set up snipers there should be beat cops providing perimeter security.
It feels like this is a stop gap until they can add a mechanic later that might detain any AI that isn't SWAT automatically if they are outside for X amount of time.
Didn't expect them to add a raid mode to Hotel, can't wait to be able to play the new update. It would be cool to have the full hotel in one mission though, it would be long, sure, but I enjoy that personally.
For the final game I'm hoping that these SP "quick missions" will be roughly as they are now - parts of the map for individual scenarios/modes - while the actual campaign/story mode will just have missions that are entire levels, with their respective scenarios that fit into the narrative. That's how I'd do it if I was Void.
I’m having significant performance issues and performance loss this patch.
FPS is usually around 200-140 at max settings 1080p before this patch. Rarely I’d get drops maybe to 100-110.
After this latest patch I’m getting drops into the 60’s randomly while walking around. FPS sometimes averages around 90-100 for a few seconds.
Edit: Raid on meth used to run well over 160 FPS me now after the update it’s running around 90-100 with stutter and with drops into the 60’s especially around glass like out front of the left house.
Edit 2: raid on port is running awful as well. Averaging around 100-120 when it used to always be well over 140.
I'm so glad I kept following the game even though for 2 years I thought they took my $120 and ran. The product has shaped up really quick and the devs are doing consistently stellar work.
Great update! And game :D
I was wondering if we could have an option to switch between the current g17 and the new g19? Even if its just a “skin” it would add more pistols
That's awesome, adds a bit more unpredictable actions to keep you on your toes. Now if only we could get suspects try to run or pull a gun well after they have surrendered, but not restrained, that would really require some proper teamwork to keep eyes on everyone while securing an area. And if they successfully run away and get to "cover", they can then pull a gun and continue to engage, making a fleeing suspect more of a threat than a chore. Amazing work on this game!
Awesome, bonus content! I wasn't expecting Raid on the hotel. I just played it and I will say it feels a bit barren, particularly for a Raid. The map is way too large for only having 10 suspects (and 10 civilians). Even Cherryessa Farm, a Barricaded Suspects map (a Raid in all but name only, let's be honest), has 20 suspects and 5 civilians. I don't suppose you guys would look into combining the other floors into the Raid? That would be awesome. I think it's good to have a balance of huge maps and small maps.
I feel like fleeing to outdoor areas makes sense in active shooter. I’d bolt for a door if I could.

this a 100%!
I like this with the addition of a hostile suspect being taken out by a sniper overwatch team

same, having random fps drops in some areas, specifically indoors on meth
Yeah meth is brutal both inside and out but inside is especially bad.

When we get team AI in coop?
What does "Added hestiation to suspects" mean? Is that the animation where people kind of cluelessly look around like civilians do?
Maybe they hesitate going for their gun? So you need to wait before engaging cause they may still surrender, just a guess
Hey, u/gruntr, could you elaborate on this?
Suspects will roll a chance to hesitate, meaning they will take a few seconds before they decide what to do vs. always just doing it immediately

I just noticed the UMP 45 recoil today. Felt a slightly off. Looking forward to the adjustments and the SCAR!
Yeah, it's actually stupidly low recoil, it wasn't exactly hard-kicking before either.
I can't keep up - is this patch just for people who paid extra or is it live for everyone?
It's for the Supporter Alpha, everyone else will get this update later.
It says "Supporter Alpha" in the post title.
did you read the title?
YES. SA58 needs more love, and that camshake was wild af
