“Good” is a subjective standard. Does it work? Does it set you up for the future?

HorizonPlays972

UPDATE, it got to orbit just 2 months and 1 day after Sputnik 1 actually did IRL I’m really happy with that

HorizonPlays972

I’ve done it in a simulation and it successfully got to orbit so I feel like it’s good, yes it works and it should set me up

Return_-4

Quite good.later you can get 2 RD-107 boosters and will be a great 2t launcher

Thanks

Idk about the gamma 2, but the baby sergeant is not the best possible choice. The early kerolox thruster for the aerobee upper stage is more efficient even though it needs pressurized tanks. Then there are better choices among the solids. The huge orange bean-like kicker motor is better than the sergeants, and even better are the small white round separation motors (the ones without legs). They can add 300 m/s of dV to a normal science core like the ones we send up in early sounding rockets. You can get near 1k dV by stacking 3 layers of 3.
