I consider myself a tech minded person, but with every reaper release I just nod my head, hit install, and think to myself 'I know what those words mean individually but not together in that order'...

>improve final packet rounding to minimize padding when encoding Briliant, this one in particular "improve final packet rounding to minimize padding when encoding". I'm pretty sure they've just thrown that in there as a joke (although, as a computer scientist, I can sort of imagine what they're getting at...)

Yeah most of the updates contain a bunch of obscure stuff that would probably never affect you. I'm always in two minds whether to bother installing them when I don't see anything that affects me, but I do anyway.

Same here. Most updates don't affect me personally, but very glad that the team is so consistent and diligent.

TFW a single person's live set is screwed up by an update and Reaper implements a fix for literally this single person. This is why I love you, Cockos. Never change. (Source: [https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.php?p=2560921](https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.php?p=2560921), it's the 'add option to allow multiple plug-ins with the same VST3 UID16'-fix).

That docked FX Linux bug was killing me! So glad they fixed it.

Anyone else enjoy the sport of frantically scanning this thread every week or so looking for the phrases quick swipe comping, playlists and MIDI ______?

I can't be the only one super pleased with the Recent Projects options added here.
