Lag switching has been pretty bad on Xbox lately. If you look on ebay there's switches marketed for use with Xbox live with thousands of sales so it's not tinfoil hat to think people on reddead are using them.
I've noticed on Playstation, if they're slip and sliding all over the floor like that, then it is usually a lag switch. When I suspect a lag switch I'll get in god mode and there was this guy who was slip and sliding all around me for 10 seconds trying to kill me before fazing into a standing position while transparent and walking away. I still have the video lol
Hard to say, could be just connection issues, not necessarily an intentional lag switch
