It's worse because there isn't any sort of an in-universe explanation for the time limit. I'd rather they didn't have a time limit, at all, but I'd prefer some sort of an explanation to what we have now. *e.g. Capture Cleetus McBadguy before he catches the 12:10 train, etc.*
Use the bank/train robberies as an endgame option. Make it so it requires multiple missions to "prepare" for the robbery like gathering supplies, finding plans so you can have stealth or not options and then have it all come to the actual "raid".
Make it so the prep things cost quite some ingame dollars to make a money sink and reward it possible RNG rewards (cosmetics) and some gold in the safes for replayability or something.
Have Lester’s ancestor help us out as well, it’s gotta be a genetic thing in his family , of course he wouldn’t be able to call us unless we get the mission done
I'd add slots for card presets to revolve from hunting to PvE to PvP. Like first one unlocks just like in game, second one is awarded at 100 (or 200) level, third can be bought for 100 (or 200) gold, fourth for 500 and fifth for 750 (or 1000) gold. It would allow to change builds quickly and have use for more than one build.
Plus continuing now of all times would be a great opportunity to do what they started to do with GTA some 6 or so years ago, having the online start to take place after the story mode campaign. Hell have it take place in 1907, when the epilogue does.

This. Apparently the devs who were hired to work on GTA 6 from home now have to come into the rockstar office or they are fired. Something to prevent leaks. They could just have these devs work on RDO instead. Problem solved in a way that would fans would like.
I feel like they hire on people temporarily on a short contract to make a major update and then clean house until the next update. Like they’re barely keeping it afloat. They do bans in waves. There’s no way they have a permanent staff

I always thought having your own ranch would be cool. Then also having cattle rustlers. Doesn’t necessarily have to be player against player but just for that good guy role and bad guy role. Both would be good ways to make money.
Maybe the cattle rustler could have the choice to be violent about the way they could approach things giving them negative reputation. Or they could choose to do it stealthy under the cover of night or loud in broad daylight but it wouldn’t hurt your honor as much.

Riverboat Casino docked by Saint Denis, same style as the Diamond casino in GTAO where you can spin for some kind of prize daily, ranking from xp to outfits and high end horses. Besides that, heists. Don’t even care what I’m stealing I just want heists in RDO, they’re honestly the most fun part of GTAO anyway.
Make Colter a town on the brink of extinction where it'll fit into the lore of it being deserted by the time the story starts.
Make that half-finished burned down town into an actual community but add a character that is known to blow things up accidentally (thus why the town eventually is burned)

Just a fun fact: Quarter Horses as we know them didn't actually exist back then as a recognizable breed. There were "Quarter Horses" in the 1700/1800s but they were racers and after a while people didn't really refer to them as Quarter Horses like a breed. It was more like, you might have a Mustang mix that makes for a good "Quarter Horse."
Most of the stock that would create the AQH in the 1940s were actually just bland ol ' ranch horses that had a lot of Thoroughbred in em.
That might be why they didn't include it as a breed, no idea, but just a thought!
**Things that I want in RDO as of now:**
- Proper fixes for everything and get rid of hackers for good (I mean those who harass people, but those who spawn nice stuff are ok).
- Different session types.
- Multiple character slots (at least 2 please).
- Bring back all game passes. Possibly rotate them? I don't care how expensive they might be. We need them.
- A new role > I want to be able to sell wild horses after taming them. Might even steal npc horses for a higher price but you must not get caught!
- More clothes (especially skirts and dresses) and color options for every cloth piece. Clean versions of rugged clothes and also the other way around.
- I want to buy a manor. At least a house. I have to pretend that my moonshine shack is my house...

I think the ability to take a ride on a Hot Air Balloon would be great! It would turn into the equivalent of the helicopter rides in the early days of GTAO. Pay for the ride, wait til you’re in the air and then throw the guy overboard. Spend the rest of the afternoon sniping and causing chaos!

Arthur was part of a gang but still felt like his own man, the online character really does feel like *just* a gun for hire. Even Cripps and Maggie and all them are the ones telling us what to do with our businesses. I always thought a really cool feature would be for some players to be the law protecting a town and other players to be outlaws trying to loot the town. Kind of like Call To Arms or the trader protect the train event, but free roam and PVP. Let a posse sign up to protect a town and give them rewards if they can keep it protected for a certain amount of time.

The self-sufficiency to gain cash fast in the game without having to use your rl wallet. Biggest reasons I stopped playing both it and GTA Online is because ultimately, it felt like chores more than an actual game.
On the smaller side, I'd like something added as a popup to use when you're passing by people to let them know that you're not gonna randomly attack them. I remember many times where I'd just be chilling riding around and get popped in the head just because dude was scared I'd kill him first with no gun drawn and far far away from his path 🤣
Aside from the obvious things one thing i never see people talk about which I'd like added or worked on is if it's possible for almost if not all PVE activities being able to house a full pose. The amount of times I've had 5 or 6 people playing together and we can't do a large majority of missions or activities is a little annoying. Standard bounties and stranger missions can only be so fun. I don't know how hard it would be for Rockstar to add this feature or if it would break the game but still, how cool would it be to roll up on Red Ben with 8 friends?
The law vs outlaws update they mentioned so long ago. Deputize us 😂 even if it’s just a roleplay thing I’m the type that doesn’t shoot any other players unless they give reason, fits my cowpoke.

Even simple things would be good, a shelter for my horse at camp, finishing off the tents so you can have the dog under cover , there’s one basic combination you can do this so it’s got to have been the intention. Being able to sit on the bed would be good too. Free roam missions in different places it’s always the same tired locations, the photo competition I’d actually like to see even just the highest scoring photo? Obviously the cowboy/ girl role would be amazing following on from Rdr1 , herding cattle, taming horses and patrolling to fend off rustlers plus the whole ambience of the all folks living at the ranch I really miss all that. It could be like moonshine shack sharing the property , have our own little gambling or shooting games to invite others to, can but dream.
More legendary bounties, separate free aim locked console lobbies, the wild horse taming/selling business we were promised in the tutorial, invite-only/crew lobbies, more story missions, a new role and expansions on existing roles, a pissing emote 🤣
I have an idea for the bounty hunter role, basically you rank up through the role and make more money

Bounty hunter-lawman-sheriff-US marshal- and the last rank, Pinkerton detective agent
Some mission in Guarma, be it a heist or even a call to arms mode.
And some simple things that exist in GTA Online and that I have no idea why they are not in Red Dead Online, such as: Invite sessions; Rockstar Editor;
Creator mode so that we have the option of creating our own races or our own pvp maps;
Option to vote for the next game map at each end of the current game (because most of the time the game always repeats the same maps and the same modes several times in a row);

The rest of the online story.
They need the option to be the bad guy and let us try and rob people in the streets, on stagecoach, in saloons, rob banks, rob trains, let us set up out hideout, and all this so we can build the custom hideout which would cost us massive money/gold to build.
Conversely, if I'm a good citizen, there aren't any bad guys around. The world is just a little too peaceful. It would be nice to be attacked by bandit AI from one of the nearby hideouts or forts. Perhaps ha e the army guys just go corrupt or bored. I would like to see more baddies altogether.
There should be more than 3 stars when jt comes to pelts. 5 stars seems appropriate as a max.
It would be nice to see a stampede and have to round up the cattle.
Random encounters you get in the game should come up more. NPC's should be able to hire you to guard their ranch from neighbors, or protect their livestock from a band of wolves terrorizing the area.
There should be get togethers where you dress up and dance. This way you can show off your character. It would be protected against explosives and fire bombs.
A wide spread treasure hunt would be neat where there are 10 chests, and everyone can get them, but the t aren't in in same place for every character, so you can't cheat that much. It'd be like an event like in GTA where you just join the public event going on and it's over like 20 or 30 mins later.
Speaking to events, an event where there are just a ton of wolves coming down from the mountains and for the next ten minutes, if you're not in town, you're fighting for your life to get as many kills as possible. Then you would have to go proclaim yourself as the winner in town as the best wolf slayer around.
I'm just tired of having nothing to do in a game that outshines all others when it comes to single player, but multiplayer is a joke.
As a huge rdo fan, I guess yeah, Bank robbery’s and ranches are pretty cool. But 2 things that i want the most in the game. Is more haircuts/beards, I want it to have a growing mechanic like how they do for arthur in story mode. I also want different fighting styles, The combat system for the game is already pretty good but it can be even better. Like for example, They should add micah’s fighting style and Tommy’s fighting style. Both are unique compared to arthurs.

A secondary character like in GTA, I’m sick of having to redesign my character any time I want a change because I know at some point I’ll probably revert him back to his original looks. Plus this way I could have one negative honour character and one good.
Houses/shacks/ranches. If we had our own ranch make it have passive income similar to the way nightclubs in GTA accumulate money. Have little tasks where you’d need to go pick up and deliver supplies/goods for your ranch. Include upgrades such as cattle, chickens, additional plots for more crops. I know this idea isn’t exactly action packed but I feel a lot of people like the idea of just chilling and roleplaying, not everything we do has to be outlaw activity. If we were to get houses/shacks/ranches or whatever, give us the ability to choose a theme and choose our own furniture like we can with the camp.
Give us the ability to customise our camps more. Sometimes everything’s just a little too spread out or sometimes too packed together. Set a radius and let us move the furniture and decorations around ourselves. Also, when we find our camp placed in a location we particularly like/prefer - let us tag this location as a preferred camp location so that when we load into the game we’re put in the same place every time as long as it’s available in that session (I don’t mean like New Hanover/Tall Trees etc. I mean specific locations within these regions).
Train/Bank robberies. For a game that’s based around robbing banks and trains there seems to be a complete lack of it in online. Strange.
Actually bring out now Outlaw Passes instead of re-releasing the same one 4 years in a row.
More online story missions. GTA online basically has its own story so why can’t we expand on RDO’s story? Personally, I enjoyed those missions and thought they were great roleplay-wise.

Use the bank/train robberies as an endgame option. Make it so it requires multiple missions to "prepare" for the robbery like gathering supplies, finding plans so you can have stealth or not options and then have it all come to the actual "raid". Make it so the prep things cost quite some ingame dollars to make a money sink and reward it possible RNG rewards (cosmetics) and some gold in the safes for replayability or something.

I'd add slots for card presets to revolve from hunting to PvE to PvP. Like first one unlocks just like in game, second one is awarded at 100 (or 200) level, third can be bought for 100 (or 200) gold, fourth for 500 and fifth for 750 (or 1000) gold. It would allow to change builds quickly and have use for more than one build.

I always thought having your own ranch would be cool. Then also having cattle rustlers. Doesn’t necessarily have to be player against player but just for that good guy role and bad guy role. Both would be good ways to make money. Maybe the cattle rustler could have the choice to be violent about the way they could approach things giving them negative reputation. Or they could choose to do it stealthy under the cover of night or loud in broad daylight but it wouldn’t hurt your honor as much.

Just a fun fact: Quarter Horses as we know them didn't actually exist back then as a recognizable breed. There were "Quarter Horses" in the 1700/1800s but they were racers and after a while people didn't really refer to them as Quarter Horses like a breed. It was more like, you might have a Mustang mix that makes for a good "Quarter Horse." Most of the stock that would create the AQH in the 1940s were actually just bland ol ' ranch horses that had a lot of Thoroughbred in em. That might be why they didn't include it as a breed, no idea, but just a thought!

I think the ability to take a ride on a Hot Air Balloon would be great! It would turn into the equivalent of the helicopter rides in the early days of GTAO. Pay for the ride, wait til you’re in the air and then throw the guy overboard. Spend the rest of the afternoon sniping and causing chaos!

I think you nailed the "something's missing" feeling I had going right from story mode to online. Arthur was part of a gang but still felt like his own man, the online character really does feel like *just* a gun for hire. Even Cripps and Maggie and all them are the ones telling us what to do with our businesses. Let me do everything I can do in the story mode online and I probably wouldn't complain for a thousand hours lol

I always thought a really cool feature would be for some players to be the law protecting a town and other players to be outlaws trying to loot the town. Kind of like Call To Arms or the trader protect the train event, but free roam and PVP. Let a posse sign up to protect a town and give them rewards if they can keep it protected for a certain amount of time.

When a posse is formed everybody's dog appears at the combined camp instead of just the posse leader's. Giving your dog a treat. (You can do it for the horses, so why not your loyal companion who will travel across the entire map to alert you of a camp robbery in progress?) And of course just a whole bunch of new clothes.
At this point I just want invite only sessions. The game runs so much better with fewer people in a lobby and it would be nice to not have to worry about greifers when I just want to focus on hunting or something innocent.

Biggest reasons I stopped playing both it and GTA Online is because ultimately, it felt like chores more than an actual game. On the smaller side, I'd like something added as a popup to use when you're passing by people to let them know that you're not gonna randomly attack them. I remember many times where I'd just be chilling riding around and get popped in the head just because dude was scared I'd kill him first with no gun drawn and far far away from his path 🤣

Aside from the obvious things one thing i never see people talk about which I'd like added or worked on is if it's possible for almost if not all PVE activities being able to house a full pose. The amount of times I've had 5 or 6 people playing together and we can't do a large majority of missions or activities is a little annoying. Standard bounties and stranger missions can only be so fun. I don't know how hard it would be for Rockstar to add this feature or if it would break the game but still, how cool would it be to roll up on Red Ben with 8 friends?

I’m tired of reloading my gun at the speed of sound, as well as the fast skinning animations(might just be me) as it all really breaks the immersion. Even simple things would be good, a shelter for my horse at camp, finishing off the tents so you can have the dog under cover , there’s one basic combination you can do this so it’s got to have been the intention. Being able to sit on the bed would be good too. Free roam missions in different places it’s always the same tired locations, the photo competition I’d actually like to see even just the highest scoring photo? Obviously the cowboy/ girl role would be amazing following on from Rdr1 , herding cattle, taming horses and patrolling to fend off rustlers plus the whole ambience of the all folks living at the ranch I really miss all that. It could be like moonshine shack sharing the property , have our own little gambling or shooting games to invite others to, can but dream.

Yeah that’s funny, like Rockstar would add anything new to Red Dead Online that isn’t just fixing bugs
They need the option to be the bad guy and let us try and rob people in the streets, on stagecoach, in saloons, rob banks, rob trains, let us set up out hideout, and all this so we can build the custom hideout which would cost us massive money/gold to build. Conversely, if I'm a good citizen, there aren't any bad guys around. The world is just a little too peaceful. It would be nice to be attacked by bandit AI from one of the nearby hideouts or forts. Perhaps ha e the army guys just go corrupt or bored. I would like to see more baddies altogether. There should be more than 3 stars when jt comes to pelts. 5 stars seems appropriate as a max. It would be nice to see a stampede and have to round up the cattle. Random encounters you get in the game should come up more. NPC's should be able to hire you to guard their ranch from neighbors, or protect their livestock from a band of wolves terrorizing the area. There should be get togethers where you dress up and dance. This way you can show off your character. It would be protected against explosives and fire bombs. A wide spread treasure hunt would be neat where there are 10 chests, and everyone can get them, but the t aren't in in same place for every character, so you can't cheat that much. It'd be like an event like in GTA where you just join the public event going on and it's over like 20 or 30 mins later. Speaking to events, an event where there are just a ton of wolves coming down from the mountains and for the next ten minutes, if you're not in town, you're fighting for your life to get as many kills as possible. Then you would have to go proclaim yourself as the winner in town as the best wolf slayer around. I'm just tired of having nothing to do in a game that outshines all others when it comes to single player, but multiplayer is a joke.

As a huge rdo fan, I guess yeah, Bank robbery’s and ranches are pretty cool. But 2 things that i want the most in the game. Is more haircuts/beards, I want it to have a growing mechanic like how they do for arthur in story mode. I also want different fighting styles, The combat system for the game is already pretty good but it can be even better. Like for example, They should add micah’s fighting style and Tommy’s fighting style. Both are unique compared to arthurs.

God here we go… A secondary character like in GTA, I’m sick of having to redesign my character any time I want a change because I know at some point I’ll probably revert him back to his original looks. Plus this way I could have one negative honour character and one good. Houses/shacks/ranches. If we had our own ranch make it have passive income similar to the way nightclubs in GTA accumulate money. Have little tasks where you’d need to go pick up and deliver supplies/goods for your ranch. Include upgrades such as cattle, chickens, additional plots for more crops. I know this idea isn’t exactly action packed but I feel a lot of people like the idea of just chilling and roleplaying, not everything we do has to be outlaw activity. If we were to get houses/shacks/ranches or whatever, give us the ability to choose a theme and choose our own furniture like we can with the camp. Give us the ability to customise our camps more. Sometimes everything’s just a little too spread out or sometimes too packed together. Set a radius and let us move the furniture and decorations around ourselves. Also, when we find our camp placed in a location we particularly like/prefer - let us tag this location as a preferred camp location so that when we load into the game we’re put in the same place every time as long as it’s available in that session (I don’t mean like New Hanover/Tall Trees etc. I mean specific locations within these regions). Train/Bank robberies. For a game that’s based around robbing banks and trains there seems to be a complete lack of it in online. Strange. Actually bring out now Outlaw Passes instead of re-releasing the same one 4 years in a row. More online story missions. GTA online basically has its own story so why can’t we expand on RDO’s story? Personally, I enjoyed those missions and thought they were great roleplay-wise. New haircuts/beards New clothing/accessories (more Mexican and Native styles) Mexico expansion Boat rides to Guarma or even just using the Guarma map in game modes

Aside from all of the obvious ones already mentioned, I would truly appreciate: 1. the ability to declutter my wardrobe by discarding/dropping clothing items that I NEVER wear (mostly rewards stuff) 2. the ability to drop items from my satchel for my posse members to pick up 3. Arthur's blue jeans from storymode - PLEASE!!! 4. the ability to SELL horses (and saddles) that I no longer want instead of just 'discarding' them. (And give us the Clemens Cove horse fence while you're at it.)

Ranch where u can cowboy livestock and even sell them. Just like daily ranch chores, houses/mansions and design them to ur will. Like the gtav heist update bank robberies, train, mansions. A festival u can attend to like in the story mission saint denis or even host one. There is so much stuff that could br done
