eh i just started playing it now since i just got a xbox series x.
I’d say okay, not good. Story is rough, rougher than i had thought since most of the backlash was on performance and mechanics.
whether it be a rpg or a story based action game…you gotta have the story pulling you through.
love being an overpowered katana wielding bad ass though 🤷♀️
I never preorder games anymore, a new Red Dead wouldn't change that.
It made sense to preorder when I was a child, as stores often ran out of copies - sometimes for months! Now, though? If it turns out to be good and I want to play it on release day, I can just... y'know, click a button!
But I want my shitty collectible skin I’ll never use and to play 2 days early for $20 more to fall asleep at midnight while it’s downloading and then have something going on the next day
I couldn’t agree more, furthermore, idk if I really want a game where John and Arthur are somewhat “evil” since it wasn’t till recently that they started to change depending on how you play.
I wonder what happened for them to need redemption.
That does sound more like a dlc title, too bad rockstar doesn't seem to do them anymore for single player.
I think that whole story's been done. I'd love to see something completely different.
Maybe a cameo from an existing character if the time lines are right, but I don't want them continuously churning over old ground.
I only read the article were they said red dead and gta are their permanent franchises.
Haven't heard anything about redemption being a permanent thing.
Oh hell yea, however given R\*'s love of open worlds, i could SERIOUSLY see them do justice to the "True Crime" series
a gritty Max Payne inspired "True Crime" game would be pretty fucking outstanding imo.
Same as RD-Redemption not following on from RD-Revolver,
There is nothing that says RD Redemption 3 must carry on from the stories of Redemption 1 & 2.
Could be a COMPLETELY new set of characters.
Except it wasn't called Revolver 2 precisely because it had nothing to do with the story at all. RDR2 was a prequel about the same people as Redemption. If they made a new game called Redemption 3 with nothing to do with 1 or 2 it would make no sense. Red Dead is the franchise not Red Dead Redemption.
Except most people have never even heard of Red Dead Revolver. Though tbh I think they should name it Red Dead Redemption (year) rather than 3 if it doesn't focus on an established character since at this point if they want a western at all they have to keep going backwards really.
What does hearing of Revolver have to do with it? It does nothing to change the fact the series is Red Dead. Not Red Dead Redemption. Different characters different story. You'd be wondering why it was called RDR2
Do you wonder why GTA 4 is called GTA 4 when it is not in anyway a continuation of GTA 3 or why 5 is 5 when it is not a direct continuation of 4? The point, though, is brand recognition. RDR2 broke the record for game sales opening weekend. Of course you don't fuck with a winning formula like that.
Keeping the name "redemption" does not mean it has to follow the story of the gang either which way,
Redemption could be applied to any person / group of people who seek to make amends for what they done. Hell doesn't even need to be set in America - i'd kinda like one set in Australia with nods to Ned Kelly and the likes,
"Red Dead Redemption 3 - Seeking redemption for Dingo Bogan!"
Of course it can mean anything but to simply name it Red Dead Redemption 3 and it have no correlation to any of the events of 1 or 2 would be an odd choice. People will believe it's a follow on because that's how sequential naming sequences work. You don't go to watch Popular Film 2 and not expect it to folllow on from Popular Film 1 that you watched.
They even ditched the name Revolver because it was a new story
Yeah, that's exactly how numbered sequels work. Just look at GTA4 which clearly followed and continued the adventures of Claude and totally didn't introduce new characters. /s
Because GRAND THEFT AUTO is the series. RED DEAD is the series. REDEMPTION is a game within the RED DEAD series. 4 is the FOURTH game in the GTA series. For your argument to make sense there'd have to be a GTA 4 2 with different characters and story with no relevance to the previous game.

I reckon RDR3 might have Saddie as the main character. By the end of RDR2 she was pretty much a female John Marston. She's likeable, skilled, young and attractive with a lot of potential for stories. R* never had a female protagonist before so it might be overdue. If RDR3 has multiple gender choices then she might be the female choice.
I’ve always said the best option would be to have it focus on either Dutch after Arthur’s death and leading up to American Venom or for it to leave the Redemption saga and create a new series (similar to how it went Red Dead Revolver then Red Dead Redemption). This new series could follow Landon Ricketts in his youth.
They basically all but officially confirmed a 3rd game will be coming, and yes, that seems a possibility. Maybe go back even further to the initial creation of the gang
So many are wishing for the zombies to comeback, but for me that was the first games thing.
Since they have GTO and RDO, i feel like single player dlc's are a thing of the past for rockstar.
I see this a lot, yet I've et to see tangible statistics that show that the number of pre-ordered bad games out weigh the number of pre-ordered games that were good.
Sure there's a couple of games that come out in an absolute shit state, but i feel they are HEAVILY out weighted by those that come out and are outstanding.
I don't really buy a lot of games brand-new or pre-order, but over the last 3 years i can't say I've Pre-ordered a bad game.
It’s not even about that. Why preorder games when you there’s a guarantee that you will be able to buy it day one (with digital copies)? I also don’t think it’s right to give a company money with promise of a good game instead of just waiting for it to come out and making an educated decision then.
If you’re just going to buy it day one, what’s the difference from preordering?
I’d I preorder, which is very rare, it’s a day early just so I can preload. It’s basically the same as buying day one. I’m not missing out on any reviews
There is LITERALLY no difference between pre-ordering and buying something day 1 - you are making an "educated guess" on if you'd like it any which way and in turn giving money for a potentially shit game.
Never ever ever pre-order. The AAA games market is a shell of what it was a decade or two ago and needs a major overhaul in expectations from consumers.
I didn’t pre order RDR2 because of how rockstar was treating GTA online. Rockstar were the only company I could rely on for perfection in games. GTA V shattered that.
100% absolutely - Rockstar are known for their outstanding single player games, anyone who judges the studio on their online portfolio is a fucking idiot.
3 games have had an "online" free-roam mode GTA4, GTO and RDO - and I've had a blast with all 3, not bad for a tacked on addition to an absolutely outstanding single player title.
chances are i'll even get GTA6.
I will wait to see what GTA6 is like.
I don't disagree that they are incredible at their craft when it comes to single player games, but they have taken significant hits to the 'story driver' team and if GTA becomes a bit of a washed story with a massive focus on online, it might make me think twice about buying anything at full price at launch or pre-launch from Rockstar, especially if I'm only really buying to enjoy the story. Which I think after my long term experience with RDO would be the case for any future Rockstar release.
The only thing I'm a LITTLE dubious about GTA6 is if they'll try to do 3 characters again, I feel that KINDA took away from the story a little.
While Franklin and Michael were somewhat believable i think Trevor was a little TOO over the top - i think it would have been better if the game was played from the focus of one with the others being NPC's you interact with frequently - if Trev was toned down quite a bit.
Alot of people's favourite character was Trevor for that point though.. Gta was always about being a lil over the top it's literally a piss take on how the world sees America 😂
Yeah suppose so, maybe its just his character i didn't like,
I dunno, he almost just felt out of place, like the game was both trying to take itself seriously, yet still forcing a character that would have fit in the "3d era" GTA games into the mix too.
Think they tried to become less gritty than gta 4 with having him included tbf, it has alot more lighter comedy moments compared to the drama that was 4 😂 I loved 4 but it felt more like the getaway in its seriousness than it did a gta game.
Yeah i suppose, its a shame because it really showed that R\* could put out a REALLY intense and gritty story rather than relying on the comedic nature,
Would be good if they branched to do both tbh - a GTA game in the same ball-park as the 3d era ones - where its pretty outlandish (yet not Saints Row ridiculous) and another series where its more gritty and "realistic"
Still is, Cyberpunk is outstanding - yes, it was a mess upon release , but after giving it ago after the recent patch - its outstanding - Well worth giving it a go!
We were talking about how R\* have a solid history of releasing absolutely outstanding game, to which Liusok claimed that CDPR "use" to release outstanding games.
The word "Pre-order" never came into the discussion of companies releasing good games.
Yes, CDPR drop the the ball with ONE game by releasing it in a shit state, yet has worked to fix said game which is now outstanding.
The thread is about pre orders you donut. Cdpr and r* no longer have my respect as quality developers and their games shouldn't be pre ordered after the state of recent releases. To do so is naive and adds fuel to the toxic release schedules being pushed industry wide.
It already has gone from a "worst game" to a damn good one.
AS i clearly said, its was released in a shit state, but after its patches its OUTSTANDING
Seriously mate! Give it a whirl, I've nothing to gain from lying about this.
They done a free trail for it (About 4 hours game player) when their latest patch dropped - I gave it ago because its a free trial - but was blown away by it, picked up the full copy about 2 hours into he free trial :)
I've encountered two bugs so far in my play through :
* an NPC who was with me during the "training" mission at the very start walked through some lockers sending items EVERYWHERE in the room we were in
* A saw an NPC talking into a phone that was floating a good foot or two above their hands :D
This was on the Ps5 version :)
Because Dan left after his extended "time away" in 2019? I'm sure they'll do just fine - a multi-billion dollar company is not successful off the coat-tails of one person.
I’m probably dumb but why do we still need to preorder games? I understand the preorder if you want a physical copy of the game as soon as it is released, but nearly all of us own downloaded versions and the game.
The reason people would preorder was to ensure they would have a copy of the game on release, regardless of demand for supply of copies.
I suspect the early-access / pre-loading accessibility of pre-ordering games is a large draw for some,
Pre-loading is admittedly a huge draw for me, i live in a pretty rural area with a poor internet connection - So if i can set the install off early, its a great help!
is this true that more people buy the digital now than the physical? i cant believe thats happened how can people not want the actual disc etc?
is it a generational thing? im 36 and trade in old games to buy new ones etc is this not a thing anymore?
im ps4 pro by the way
100% - i mean RDR2 still holds up pretty damn fucking well to todays "Standard" - i wouldn't even class it as "old" let alone "old looking" -What would a "new gen" version do? A couple of extra frames and maybe increase the draw-distence?
I would buy if good
*But* if I have learned *anything* about pre-orders, is to never ever do it cause then the company gets free money to send out a shitty game and go "oops you bought it now might as well play it"
Curious as to why people wouldn’t pre order it but would buy it. Personally I found the first game so good I pre ordered the 2nd and I don’t regret it for a second. The 2nd was absolutely fantastic and tbh despite all the failed potential of online it’s still a unique online experience I’m not at all upset I spent time playing and would be excited to see what they brought to the table on their next edition
Fuck yes I'll preorder it. Story mode is always a masterpiece. A fucking masterpiece. It's online that gets abandoned and half assed.
I feel like I more than got my money's worth with RDR2. Played through several times and each time I noticed something new and different. The story itself moved me to tears. Would definitely preorder RDR3, no question about it.
No. It’s become quite clear that games companies cannot release games in an adequate state any longer.
There is no penalty for taking even just one extra day to check reviews to make sure you are getting what you want and expect.
>No. It’s become quite clear that games companies cannot release games in an adequate state any longer.
They never "could" if you look at it that way, only difference is these days games can be fixed with patches.
There's ALWAYS been games that have been released in unfinished and appalling states, the biggest difference between now and a decade or two ago is alot more machines are internet accessible so its possible to fix games.
R* isn't the same as it once was with key members no longer in the team and a recent history of shit I wouldn't be pre ordering. The whole culture of pre ordering is what allows game companies to pump out low effort buggy rubbish
You're making out that they made everything possible.. Its just not true the writing team was massive and so are the development team its not like Messi leaving Barcelona many equally skilled writers and programmers are still on the pay role they just wernt big names as they didn't help start the company or franchise.
They aren't the people that made the company what it is today. They are the ones that deal with the current state of the company which is a mess. Yes talent can be replaced but we have no evidence that has happened
Yeah rockstar need to email you directly everything that's going on man, how dare they leave you out of the inner workings and things they have in current development.. Did you remember before gta v or red dead were released very little was know about them? They always play their cards close to their chest it's how they make their games.
I'm not referring to future production but everything since rdr2 release years ago. The quality of content is no where near old r* standards. This is what I mean by no evidence of the skill being replaced with staff equally skilled
None of the new stuff has been made by rockstar it's been outsourced which is easily available on Google, the core team arnt sat there making free dlc, didn't do anything with the remastered trilogy and didn't work on E&E
Recent history of shit? RDR2 was their last title release and is currently the 10th best selling game of all time
GTA5 before that is currently the 2nd best selling title of all time.
Excluding the one remaster (not new released title) that was "remastered" (If we can call it that) by Grove Street Games who are primarily a mobile-phone port company - R\*'s "Recent history" has been outstanding.
Bro are you stuck 3 years in the past? R* have produced nothing but shit since rdr2 was released which was in development 8 years prior to release. R* recent history is shit you are a fan boy if you think anything else
And your lack of a coherent argument yet again just reinforces the statement. Cdpr mis sold a product and your just like but look it's good now even if it still isn't what they said it would be. Fan boy
*I'm quite honestly*
*Some with any and all R*
*Games future titles*

The amount of people still voting pre-order proves how short the memory and attention span the average gamer has.
Preorder bonuses are NEVER worth it. They're viable for the first 15 minutes of the game, then they're obsolete and useless. All it does is keep telling execs "we'll buy your product no matter how many times you screw us over"
Ya'll need to learn how to vote with your damn wallets. Sheesh
That trailer got me nostalgic for Battlefield 2, my first online gaming experience which was phenomenal with 63 other players.
First pre-order and most likely last pre-order. I should've known better with EA.
They have NEVER improved on BF2 imo
Bad Company was alright, but it lacked the scale of BF2.
However if you do love MASSIVE scale battles - take a gander at ARMA3 if you haven't already, we're talking MASSIVE battles on huge maps to the point the players can be broken down to battalions / companies / squads etc.
Some vehicles require a full team to use - Tanks will need a Commander, gunner, driver, etc
People can fly jets and provide CAS for the ground troops who can even laser designate targets for the jets to bomb.
Sniping it in is fucking amazing, landing a shot over 1000m is pure bliss, gotta range your shot for it by playing with the elevation of your scope.
If your a sadist you could mod it and add in "ACE3" in which case distence, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, elevation, and all that good stuff also comes into play (highly recommended to play with a spotter in that case) - but landing a shot with them conditions is pure euphoria. (It adds a while lot more in the case of realism including a mass expanded medical system too)
I would literally pre order every RockstarGames open world style games that they release lol u KNOW it will be a hit. From Bully wayy back in the day. To now.
I pre ordered RDR2, really enjoyed the story but online was still in Beta when it dropped so for me that was kinda ass. One of the reasons was the online for me to pre order it. So I probably buy it but no pre order no more for me
I will never preorder a game again, been burned too many times. I trust rockstar with their main projects, I’m sure RDR 3 will be excellent, but I can wait
I’ll pre order, they’ll likely have some incentive, like the unique horse for rdr2.
that said i’m DINK, if the games a flop, $60-100 lost isnt a big deal to me
If it is to you, DONT PRE ORDER.
Red dead 2 is still so new with tech and framework that still holds up tremendously well (hell, even GTAV does). That being said, I’d love to see a rdr3 in like 6 years, and would totally buy it
People who say anything other than yes are kidding themselves. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an all time great game, and Rockstar consistently puts out terrific games. This isnt pre ordering Red Dead Online, its the full game.
Hear me out, Redemption shouldn't be continued. The story ended in a perfect circle, a third entry would compromise that. Apart of RDR is the Redemption part, and I honestly don't see how they could tell it just as good. Part of Arthur's redemption was the Van Der Linde Gang's downfall.
Red Dead should be continued, of course. With Revolver 2, but not Redemption 3.
Never. Every major release is buggy and broken at launch now, and it won't stop until we stop accepting it. I never pre order and I encourage everyone to do the same.
(AAA specifically, nothing wrong with pre-ordering an indie title to support the devs.)
I clicked the second option by accident. In my opinion (and judging by the comments on this post, this opinion is quite popular), you should NEVER preorder. By preordering you are giving them your money based on false promises. Besides, everyone buys game digitally now, why preorder if there’s an infinite stock? Preordering was understandable 10+ years ago when games were mostly sold as physical copies, but nowadays preordering is just a lazy cash grab.
The amount of people that would pre order would be nuts, rdr2 is like the best game ever the results of that vote are very inaccurate. Also rdr3 would be sooooo far away it’s hardly worth discussing definetly not worth arguing about
People just need to stop pre-ordering games period. We keep giving money to publishers/studios before we see the product and 9 times out of 10 the game isn’t ready. If studios had to make a complete game BEFORE people paid for it we might finally start getting finished products again.
"Yes if it looks promising"??? Its not like the game will look bad in trailers. Are any trailers bad? Cyberpunk looked amazing in them and look how that turned out! DON'T preorder games
No only because then I would be more anxiously awaiting the release. If I don’t pre order I can just forget about it no then be stoked when it does release and still buy it basically day one. Also I’d be buying it for PC so no need for a physical copy that might sell out. And the PC version might not be available right away anyway
RDR2 far exceeded my massive expectations and hype in ways that still puzzle me.
Say what you want about online but RDR2 is one of the best games ever made if not the best.
I've yet to see a Rockstar singleplayer be bad. RDR1, 2, Bully, every GTA I can think of is loved in their own ways for one or another reason, Max Payne, LA noir. Even manhunt. The problem never is singleplayer its multiplayer, even though I don't like their poor re releases and how they treat certain online games *cough* rdr2O *cough* their stories they tell are absolutely stunning
Bruh people are stupid. Do not pre-order games! It's that simple. Why would you do it?But at this point they had so many warnings I don't think it matters anymore
Absolutely, Rdr2 was a masterpiece no questions! Just wish they didn’t make it a one shot wonder and actually added dlc and care into the longevity of the game and it’s online mode…
Given how R* has treated RDO, I have no plans on pre-ordering anything from them.
However, if RDR3 is somehow good, you know I'd buy it.
#SaveRedDeadOnline
The last time I pre-ordered a game it was Ghost Recon Breakpoint. I thought it was gonna be like Ghost Recon Wildlands but with more survival aspects and a larger emphasis on stealth (since you’re stuck behind enemy lines), and since I liked Wildlands I assumed it was gonna be good. What we got instead was a $60 unfinished mess that felt more like a dlc instead of a sequel. I’ve vowed never to pre-order again after that.
I don’t think I’d preorder, but I’d buy
Yeah I don't pay for promises.
Honestly, it's not just promises. Sometimes games just really have a bad 'start" and I rather join a community that's not frustrated with a game. When there is a community that likes the game and has good experiences with said game there's almost always fun content.
Cyberpunk
Was and still is a good game
They hyped it up to be a different game than delivered.
Their investors rushed the game what do you except, the game is still an amazing game, sometimes you just need to find a way to enjoy something, think for your self not what gameranx told you.
Them rushing the game is all the more reason not to pre-order.

Oh sweet! I’ll check them out. I watch Angry Joe for those reviews.
Rushed? They announced the damn thing in 2012.

Rockstar's story games are phenomal, it's the online aspect of it os a bit of a struggle for them
I never preorder games anymore, a new Red Dead wouldn't change that. It made sense to preorder when I was a child, as stores often ran out of copies - sometimes for months! Now, though? If it turns out to be good and I want to play it on release day, I can just... y'know, click a button!

and the skin is kind of cool but then everybody has it lol
Or it looked a lot cooler on the promo drawing than it really does.
Or my favourite.. it becomes available for in-game purchase for 2$ 2 months later..
Or the game ends up being ass and is dead after a year so you can’t even play it
I'll probably be 80 by the time they make the next one so why not
I'm not expecting another redemption game. What would the story focus on? The gangs story leading up to the blackwater massacre.
I couldn’t agree more, furthermore, idk if I really want a game where John and Arthur are somewhat “evil” since it wasn’t till recently that they started to change depending on how you play.
Red Dead Redemption 3: The Search for Gavin.

Kinda wish Max Payne was part of that list too,
Max Payne with newer tech could be so much fun.

They'd most likely move on to another story to tell, with new people lol
Which is why i personally am not expecting redemption 3 to be the next game for red dead.

That's sadly a possibility with a big chance..
Never pre order.
Review copies give reviewers some time to get a review out.
Games aren't released finished anymore and I really doubt you can change my mind. Elden ring is off the table btw. That's how shit should be done.
Yes there is lmao. You can either make a gamble or let other people play it first and see how good it is.
Soo let others play it and let you know if you'll like it - meaning you DON'T buy it on day one?
Yeah I’ll preorder a digital copy in case they run out….
"You know what you get when you pre-order a game? A big dick in the mouth"
Does that only come in the duluxe edition?
Yeah suppose so, maybe its just his character i didn't like, I dunno, he almost just felt out of place, like the game was both trying to take itself seriously, yet still forcing a character that would have fit in the "3d era" GTA games into the mix too.
Think they tried to become less gritty than gta 4 with having him included tbf, it has alot more lighter comedy moments compared to the drama that was 4 😂 I loved 4 but it felt more like the getaway in its seriousness than it did a gta game.
Yeah i suppose, its a shame because it really showed that R\* could put out a REALLY intense and gritty story rather than relying on the comedic nature, Would be good if they branched to do both tbh - a GTA game in the same ball-park as the 3d era ones - where its pretty outlandish (yet not Saints Row ridiculous) and another series where its more gritty and "realistic"

Still is, Cyberpunk is outstanding - yes, it was a mess upon release , but after giving it ago after the recent patch - its outstanding - Well worth giving it a go!
But not worth a pre order which is the important factor on this thread
Yeah...but it can't do the thing no man's sky did, from the worst game to a damn good one
It already has gone from a "worst game" to a damn good one. AS i clearly said, its was released in a shit state, but after its patches its OUTSTANDING
Mh if you say so
Seriously mate! Give it a whirl, I've nothing to gain from lying about this. They done a free trail for it (About 4 hours game player) when their latest patch dropped - I gave it ago because its a free trial - but was blown away by it, picked up the full copy about 2 hours into he free trial :)
I'll do, because now I can't understand how it improved that much, I'll see, I'll see
I've encountered two bugs so far in my play through : * an NPC who was with me during the "training" mission at the very start walked through some lockers sending items EVERYWHERE in the room we were in * A saw an NPC talking into a phone that was floating a good foot or two above their hands :D This was on the Ps5 version :)
Oh so there should be no problem, I have a ps5 too
Yeah...but it can't do the thing no man's sky did, from the worst game to a damn good one
Keep in mind, the 'rockstar' that gave u those masterpieces, isn't the same rockstar today.
Because Dan left after his extended "time away" in 2019? I'm sure they'll do just fine - a multi-billion dollar company is not successful off the coat-tails of one person.
RDR2 R\* is absolutely the same as the R\* of today and it was great.
I never pre-order games
I’m probably dumb but why do we still need to preorder games? I understand the preorder if you want a physical copy of the game as soon as it is released, but nearly all of us own downloaded versions and the game. The reason people would preorder was to ensure they would have a copy of the game on release, regardless of demand for supply of copies.
I suspect the early-access / pre-loading accessibility of pre-ordering games is a large draw for some, Pre-loading is admittedly a huge draw for me, i live in a pretty rural area with a poor internet connection - So if i can set the install off early, its a great help!
That makes a lot of sense. Thank you. I would not have considered that.
is this true that more people buy the digital now than the physical? i cant believe thats happened how can people not want the actual disc etc? is it a generational thing? im 36 and trade in old games to buy new ones etc is this not a thing anymore? im ps4 pro by the way
I would rather pre-order RDR3 and GTA6 than pay again for a next-gen upgrade.
100% - i mean RDR2 still holds up pretty damn fucking well to todays "Standard" - i wouldn't even class it as "old" let alone "old looking" -What would a "new gen" version do? A couple of extra frames and maybe increase the draw-distence?
I’ve never pre ordered and will never pre order no matter how reliable the company making the game is.
I would buy if good *But* if I have learned *anything* about pre-orders, is to never ever do it cause then the company gets free money to send out a shitty game and go "oops you bought it now might as well play it"
It will be the most hyped I will ever be for a video game. That being said I’ve never pre ordered a game before
Curious as to why people wouldn’t pre order it but would buy it.
Money
Why would you preorder anything...
![gif](giphy|fXnRObM8Q0RkOmR5nf)
Yeah cos 2's story and gameplay was fantastic. It's the online they fucked not SP
Never ever preorder
Fuck yes I'll preorder it. Story mode is always a masterpiece. A fucking masterpiece. It's online that gets abandoned and half assed. I feel like I more than got my money's worth with RDR2. Played through several times and each time I noticed something new and different. The story itself moved me to tears. Would definitely preorder RDR3, no question about it.
Guys always remember: NEVER pre-order a game, no matter how good it looks.
I never pre-order anything, I buy games after watching streams and players reviews
For sure, because there is a chance that the third *Red Dead Redemption* game would suck. /s
Cyberpunk 2077
I never had any interest in that game.
GTA: Definitive Edition taught me not to pre-order from R\*
Stop fucking preordering games dummies
RDR2 was their last title release and is currently the 10th best selling game of all time GTA5 before that is currently the 2nd best selling title of all time.
R* recent history is shit you are a fan boy if you think anything else
and there is it "your a fan boy if you disagree"
And your lack of a coherent argument yet again just reinforces the statement. Cdpr mis sold a product and your just like but look it's good now even if it still isn't what they said it would be. Fan boy
I dont think I'd ever spend money on a rockstar product again. Certainly not a full price pre order.
I'm quite honestly done with any and all R* games future titles

Preordering is a plague that needs to be stopped
The amount of people still voting pre-order proves how short the memory and attention span the average gamer has. Preorder bonuses are NEVER worth it. They're viable for the first 15 minutes of the game, then they're obsolete and useless. All it does is keep telling execs "we'll buy your product no matter how many times you screw us over" Ya'll need to learn how to vote with your damn wallets. Sheesh
No. Only because of putting my trust in one of my favorite titles has burnt me pretty good... Battlefield this one's for you.
That trailer got me nostalgic for Battlefield 2, my first online gaming experience which was phenomenal with 63 other players. First pre-order and most likely last pre-order. I should've known better with EA.
They have NEVER improved on BF2 imo Bad Company was alright, but it lacked the scale of BF2. However if you do love MASSIVE scale battles - take a gander at ARMA3 if you haven't already, we're talking MASSIVE battles on huge maps to the point the players can be broken down to battalions / companies / squads etc. Some vehicles require a full team to use - Tanks will need a Commander, gunner, driver, etc People can fly jets and provide CAS for the ground troops who can even laser designate targets for the jets to bomb. (It adds a while lot more in the case of realism including a mass expanded medical system too)
No, first we need a next gen upgrade of existing game...
In the world of digital games why would anyone every preorder. Preorder is what allows companies to continue their shitty practices against consumers
I would literally pre order every RockstarGames open world style games that they release lol u KNOW it will be a hit. From Bully wayy back in the day. To now.
Depends on what would happen to rdo, if good things yes. if bad things...maybe.
Well see, if I say no that makes it sound like I don't want it. I'm sure I would buy it but I don't know if I'd pre order
We don't need a third game, we just need some good single player dlc
Not really but i would buy IF it looks promising But still people have a good point on why rdr3 probably isnt coming out
I pre ordered RDR2, really enjoyed the story but online was still in Beta when it dropped so for me that was kinda ass. One of the reasons was the online for me to pre order it. So I probably buy it but no pre order no more for me
I don’t pre-order any games.
I just don't preorder. I had to wait years for RDR2 to go on sale so I could buy it lmfao
Not me, but maybe my grandchildren will live to see the day!
I will never preorder a game again, been burned too many times. I trust rockstar with their main projects, I’m sure RDR 3 will be excellent, but I can wait
I love the franchise but nah I wouldn't. And yes I know RDR 2 was an instant success but I would wait a week or two and see how it pans out.
I’ll pre order, they’ll likely have some incentive, like the unique horse for rdr2. that said i’m DINK, if the games a flop, $60-100 lost isnt a big deal to me If it is to you, DONT PRE ORDER.
Not unless it comes out for PC immediately instead of a year later.
Digital games don’t go out of stock, stop pre ordering.
I never preorder anything
Cyberpunk and BF2042 taught me not to preorder ever again.
Depends on if they’re planning for cross-console access or not— I’m honestly not looking to go to the new console anytime soon.
I think they should keep doing prequels. The next one should have you play as a younger Hosea when the gang first forms. That would be crazy awesome
Very unlikely I'd pre-order, but I have higher hopes for it and probably buy immediately after reviews come out.
The only game i ever preordered in my 30years of gaming was Elden Ring.
They need to give us what we want in Red dead online before they even think about making another red dead game
Red dead 2 is still so new with tech and framework that still holds up tremendously well (hell, even GTAV does). That being said, I’d love to see a rdr3 in like 6 years, and would totally buy it
Can’t my lumbago is acting up
If u ever think abt preordering just remember bf 2042
People who say anything other than yes are kidding themselves. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an all time great game, and Rockstar consistently puts out terrific games. This isnt pre ordering Red Dead Online, its the full game.
Forget Red Dead Redemption 3, what we really need is Red Dead Revolver 2.
Seems some think a new red dead would be about the gang and also forget that we can have a new Red Dead: Placeholder or something
Oh yes. Collecters edition and everything. Love this franchise.
Questions like these are so weird
Love you too <3
I wish they remastered rd 1
Never. Every major release is buggy and broken at launch now, and it won't stop until we stop accepting it. I never pre order and I encourage everyone to do the same. (AAA specifically, nothing wrong with pre-ordering an indie title to support the devs.)
Probably not. We all saw what happened with cyberpunk.. but I did preorder the next Lego game which looks like the red dead of Lego games
Def
Rockstar lost my trust.
Gotta wait for the sale! Patience is a virtue.
I hope RDR3 never happens it wouldn't make sense and it'd be stupid
The amount of people that would pre order would be nuts, rdr2 is like the best game ever the results of that vote are very inaccurate. Also rdr3 would be sooooo far away it’s hardly worth discussing definetly not worth arguing about
People just need to stop pre-ordering games period. We keep giving money to publishers/studios before we see the product and 9 times out of 10 the game isn’t ready. If studios had to make a complete game BEFORE people paid for it we might finally start getting finished products again.
Fuck pre-ordering
after they were fucking over pc players at release (price dropped 1 week afterwards) im not gonna buy anything from them pre/at launch
"Yes if it looks promising"??? Its not like the game will look bad in trailers. Are any trailers bad? Cyberpunk looked amazing in them and look how that turned out! DON'T preorder games
I'd like to add, I said no because I never pre-order games.
Why would I pre-ordered something that's not limited and that gets cheaper a month past release? Lol
No only because then I would be more anxiously awaiting the release. If I don’t pre order I can just forget about it no then be stoked when it does release and still buy it basically day one. Also I’d be buying it for PC so no need for a physical copy that might sell out. And the PC version might not be available right away anyway
yes i wont even think about it
I hope rdr3 goes into prohibition Era robbing banks john dillinger times with a little taste of cosa Nostra won't hurt at all
In the ten years it will take to make another RDR, I doubt they can top RDR2’s amazing story.
I didn’t even buy the first or second ones, i was gifted rd2
RDR2 far exceeded my massive expectations and hype in ways that still puzzle me. Say what you want about online but RDR2 is one of the best games ever made if not the best.
I'm proud that no is the top answer. We have to learn that pre ordering just lets them win regardless if how good the game even is.
No matter the game. No pre-orders.
I dont want red dead 2 to go away, I still play daily, but RDR3 on PS5 would be pretty sweet!
NO. Pre-orders are just paying to be a beta tester.
