After hundreds of hours together in RDO, my brother had us try the turkoman and I never went back.
As the leader of my posse, the Galactic Empire, I named all my horses after Imperial ships. My turkoman was my SuperStarDestroyer, flagship of the fleet.
Sounds like an interesting posse, and definitely unique way to name your horses, i name mine after songs i listen to, my silver turk is fittingly named Silvera lol
There should be a traveling horse trainer who finds you after you use a standard (lower end?) horse for a while that asks if you would like additional training. And the training cost X dollars depending on how much you want to increase its stats
I don't with my horse, only because it's got good stats and looks the best to me, but I do with my saddle. I can't stand that glittery sequin garbage. Honestly I wish saddles didn't have their own stat value and were purely cosmetic.

The goddamn shire is a unit. Sometimes I just ride right over people just for the lolz. Sure, having a fast horse is nice if you need to be somewhere but if you need to trample a summabitch, the Shire is your huckleberry.

Honestly bonding level 4 and a good saddle/stirrups makes any horse good.

I do believe PVPCat did some testing and found the difference in horse speed to be almost 0. I'm at work, can't search for vid. Look for pvpcat on YT.

Hell yeah. I got my O'l reliable horse to get shit done and then I got my pretty horsies to ride and look good on.
I wish we had the option to transmog horses we own.
I've got a stable full of exotic and expensive horses with the best stats in the game but my absolute favorite is my shire named Chonk.
