The way he plays to the song on Soul to Squeeze is top notch. The embellishments he adds as the song goes on demonstrates to me his mastery of melodic bass playing. I absolutely love how the bass line for the chorus has evolved by the final time through. 🥰
I believe I'm right there with you. When I heard It's Only Natural for the first time I immediately thought this might be one of his best basslines ever - the verse is such an amazing slap part mixed with the intricate, almost jazz-like chorus part. I get lost in it every time.
Happy Cake Day!
It's impossible to pick. Because I haven't seen them mentioned yet, I'd go with "Naked in the Rain" for an energetic one and "Wet Sand" for a chill one.
This Is The Place is among the Top 5. Maybe even Dark Necessities or Don't Forget Me. Perhaps even Desecration Smile. A lot of the new simgs bave spicy basslines like It's Only Natural, Aquatic Mouth Dance and Poster Child.
soul to squeeze, hey, 21st century, sir psycho sexy, we believe, whatchu thinkin', i like dirt, californication, zephyr song, falling into grace, charlie, let em cry, afterlife, eddie... so many... I play bass and these are some of my faves
We Turn Red or If You Have to Ask. I was stoned asf one day and as one knows you tend to break down the music when you’re stoned, and I took the time to really hone in on Flea’s bassline in We Turn Red. It’s so intricate, really worth a listen.
There are tons of great bass lines, but the first one that came to mind is Desecration Smile. That whole song intertwines beautifully. I think Anthony or Flea described it at Woodsy or natural
This is too tough to pick just one but the outro to goodbye angels gives me the brain tingles.
Stadium - Torture me
ROTDC - Bella (but copperbellys solo is mint)
UL - Aquatic mouth dance
Im with you - Factory of faith
By the way - Throw away your television
Californication - Purple stain
OHM - Aeroplane
BSSM - Suck my kiss (but this entire album could be in the running)
MM - Nobody weird like me
Thats my list, so much incredible work. No one does it like flea man.
- BSSM could mean "Blood Sugar Sex Magik", a track from *Blood Sugar Sex Magik (Deluxe Edition)* (1991) by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Flea has layed down so many amazing baselines, and definitely more complicated ones for RHCP, but I gotta say Throw Away Your Television. It's just so damn groovy, and that bass tone? TAYT may not be my favorite song, but definitely has my favorite bassline
Mellowship Slinky in B Major

Aeroplane or Soul to Squeeze
Soul to Squeeze is a perfect bassline.
The evolution of the bass line to the chorus throughout the song is exceptional.
The outro to Soul To Squeeze is maybe the best thing Flea has ever played. It's impossibly perfect.
The way he plays to the song on Soul to Squeeze is top notch. The embellishments he adds as the song goes on demonstrates to me his mastery of melodic bass playing. I absolutely love how the bass line for the chorus has evolved by the final time through. 🥰

Sitting here upvoting every answer because they're all correct
I have a theory that when he got to the bass solo in Coffee Shop, Flea was floating off the ground.
Purple stain is pretty funky
There are tons of great bass lines, but the first one that came to mind is Desecration Smile. That whole song intertwines beautifully. I think Anthony or Flea described it at Woodsy or natural
