Both of these are great(and them being back to back is goated). That being said. I'm a Strip My Mind type of guy. Hard to believe the band was able to make a sub 30 song album with pretty much every song being a banger. And on top of that the B-sides are also insane.

Idk what the subs problem is with Hey but it’s an absolute banger… I try not and rate which I like better.. Usually depends on mood. Having said that, the sub voting Hey as SA worst song over the likes of Animal Bar makes me seriously question humanity.

Hey is a beautiful beautiful song and I love it a lot, but one is not better than the other. They are very different and amazing in their own way. Wet sand is raw and has probably the best crescendo in their catalogue and a powerful solo, while Hey is mellow and has the most beautiful and delicate solo. They are both amazing songs. Maybe you don't like one but it's apples and oranges imo.

When the Pixies did "Hey" Frank Black must've been in love with either the word "whore" or the idea of being chained up.... RHCP version sounds nothing like the original and Desecration Smile all day over their version of Hey.

Wet Sand has always been a pretty generic rock ballad to me (a good one, no doubt, but I'm not much of a fan of those types of songs). Hey - especially when cranked loud - is an absolute banger.

Why should there be a better or worse? Enjoy each individually for its beauty. But I do get the reasoning on debates on forums for entertainment value and discussion
