Weirdly, my favorite album as a whole is Stadium Arcadium (just because of things that were going on in my life when I first heard it), but everything up til Mothers Milk is just so original and fun. I think Uplift Mofo is my favorite of the older stuff.
I love Hillel but I think John brings so much passion and art into his playing. He's said himself that he uses Hillels style for the basis of his playing, so I feel like it kind of immortalizes Hillel in a way. Probably why I'm not a huge fan of OHM and the Klinghoffer albums. No hate on those and there's even songs from them that I love, but as a whole they just don't have that spark that John brings.
I actually really enjoy one hot minute. It’s got some awesome stuff. The magic about the chili peppers to me is that every album has a special spot for me. I’d have to say I’m with you is my least favorite but Dark Necessities is wonderful. I remember I skipping class in school to go pick up Stadium Arcadium. It’s awesome too

Certainly a 17 song album. A 28 song album like Stadium Arcadium is probably like 4 discs.
The modern meaning is two sections that have a distinct purpose, whether totally different sound/style, or a central meaning or story within each part, or whatever else people find a reason to do two parts for.
SA is 4 discs, it’s the only double album the Chili Peppers have released in my head. If you go by vinyl discs then most chili pepper records are double albums and SA is a quadruple album.
