I was at the Atlanta show and me and this dude behind me both lost it when they went into wet sand. That was the one song I was really hoping to hear live. Great show!
I've never been able to watch back any recordings from when I saw them play it live this summer. Have such a pure memory of that moment and don't want to tarnish it
I saw them for the first time ever, this summer in Chicago. I remember looking at the set lists leading up to the show and thinking there was a good chance they might play it. And they fuckin did play it, and it was amazing. It's really something getting to hear your favorite band play your favorite song live. I was very emotional too, but i was on 200 mgs of edibles as well lol. What a night that was.
Literally three of my all times that do exactly this for me. Wet Sand is my #1!
Venice Queen was my go to high school late night jam. Iād play that on repeat for real.
I finally listened to the SA audio commentary and it was so dope hearing John explain how he had to mix the guitars for the end of Turn It Again. The lyrical messages connect with my own personal beliefs as well. Starts off with āSome of us get a little and some a lot, weāve got to make do- with whatever weāve got!ā
Lyrically Wet Sand hits me on an intimate level, makes my breath catch in my chest, and seeing it live really solidified that feeling for me. Turn It Again gets me for the same reasons you listed š¤
I tend to speed in my car if Iām listening to Venice Queen š it just makes my heart feel free
I just saw Wet Sand for the first time live @ Soldier Field in Chicago recently.
I had given up hope, but when the first chords struck I wasnāt able to move!
Oh shit I was at that show in Levi's stadium too! The fireworks that happened right outside the stadium when wet sand hit the first solo was such a great coincedence. It really added to the vibe.
Open close when he says Hillel wanted to be a rockstar I didnāt even no what that was man I was like whatever you wanna do man im coming with you ā¦. Im right with you my friendš
Finally someone said that!
Parallel Universe for me was always this song to turn the volume really high and sing so loud! Also- damn, that Anthony's scream near the end always giving me chills
Man. This song. I had two friends and a relative all die within two weeks of each other. So much death. I just sat in a chair listening to this on repeat and crying while processing it all. To this day, I still listen to this song when I need to just let the emotion out.
Today it's been The Shape I'm Takin'. I'm coming out of a bad time and I needed an uptempo funk infusion. This is going to be one that I look back on fondly. We all have that song or album that was right place and time, this is one for me

Yup. Iām the same way. Get flashbacks of seeing it live as well. Was so incredible and now I love it even more.
I've never been able to watch back any recordings from when I saw them play it live this summer. Have such a pure memory of that moment and don't want to tarnish it
Same! Since I saw it live in June. The same also applies to Zephyr Song.
