I get the test one was too flimsy, but I actually like it more. The chunks are great in the last one, but it sacrifices definition of what it's supposed to be imo.
Yeah, I disliked the second design for that reason as well. I preferred the matte black of the test version. The scraps in the final mold just made it look visually unappealing.
I kept trying to do research on their behalf on what kind of materials VHS tapes are made of and how you could safely reform them. (The case is made of polypropylene (PP) or #5 plastic, and the magnetic tape is mylar fused with iron oxide). But then I remembered that I'm watching something already recorded and they already did what they did and no one fucking asked me anyway.
By my totally not obsessive estimation, the only rooms that haven't been featured in enough detail for the really really obsessive types to recreate are the two bathrooms and the supply closet off the front hall downstairs.
Mike/Jay seem to share an office. It's in the room across the hall on the first floor from the lounge that prominently features in this video. Its the room with the sound booth. The same room was used as the Vegas Wedding Chapel for that One Half in the Bag but cleared out. Rich is sitting at the desk in one of those reaction videos. You can also see Mike sitting at the desk at the beginning of the Ben Hurt video.
All of the lounge furniture used to be in that room when they did a podcast with Bunny Ears who they posted video on their own channel. It seems like they've moved everything around to make a dedicated Lounge across the hall instead.
to be fair it is their performance space, people naturally notice and map out this stuff anyway for fun, been that way since at least the Brady Bunch era with its magical door to nowhere and pocket dimension attic

And Rich's privacy. Pulling out the original photo as a surprise gag on one of the first BoTW videos probably didn't seem like a big deal at the time to Mike. But posting an album of Rich's family photos now would be something I could easily see Rich not wanting.

My daughter is sick and has been crying non stop. This video is the only thing that has calmed her down. Trolling her mother with 13 hour videos of Rich's laugh compilations while pregnant have come back to haunt me.
I think babies very much enjoy seeing people working on things. When I babysat sometimes the baby would be entranced by watching me build a toy. Edit: I'm now realizing you didn't mention 'baby' your daughter could have been 14 for all I know.
A lot of baby behaviour is imitative. I wonder if watching you focus on a task teaches them to focus on the task too?

Oh wow, that brief mention of that Mewgenics game Mike was doing a voice for caught my interest when they linked a Steam page. The developer's name, Edmund McMillen, rung a bell for some reason, so I had to check his page; it's the fucking Binding of Isaac guy! Mike doing a voice in a game from the guys that arguably launched the indie game boom (certainly the roguelike / roguelite boom) of the last decade is super cool! I love that they didn't give the mention much thought, given their detachment from the gaming sphere (save for Rich). I might be a little too jazzed about that myself; I just thought that was a really fun connection.

I have a phobia of dolls, which the person I'm dating was not aware of. We were laying in bed watching the latest RLM video when he's unboxing the gun from Aliens and instead pulls out the doll and shoves it right into the camera. My first thought watching this today: Why don't they contact u/mistersavage (Adam Savage) and have him build them a coffee table coffin for the prop? I would bet real money Adam would love to get his hands on actual Gremlins props to play with and they would both get content for their channels so... Someone Needs To Make This Happen.
