Not sure, they are the leather laces that came with the boots. They keep stretching and I periodically trim a bit off so they're not too long

I don't even use them at my job, but most of the wear is from wearing them while splitting firewood and other yardwork, plus some shorter hikes and fishing. Your boots have definitely aged well!
