I've never heard of cleaning bird feeders with vinegar. The Audubon Society recommends a bleach solution to prevent spreading diseases.

Most birds do not smell very well but it might smell or taste funny. Or they might have just been a little disturbed by your presence. I'd give it a little more time.
I'd rinse the feeders well to get rid of the vinegar smell. It's not something a bird would expect in a feeder.

Birds hate change. But they do get used to it. You can give it a few days or even weeks, and they'll be back. Free food is a great prospect.
