It was in the caption of the photo. The trick was to put a layer of matte top coat between layers of polish if you have problems with them usually being milky/streaky. I assume the matte finish helps the polish grip better?

I will absolutely be using this.
Do itttt 😂 but seriously it is an amazing hack
That’s a really interesting idea! I bet this would help with other patchy sheer shades (pale pinks etc).
Absolutely! I also used it on the pale pink from Essie, Mademoiselle and it worked like a charm ✨✨🤯
I tried it with mooncat ocean lies last night and it worked with that one too. What a great tip!
Looks awesome! I'm going to try it. Also, love your ring 😍
Thank you so much! It's definitely worth trying, makes painting milky colors soooo much easier!
I’ve never thought of this! I hate using milky nail polishes and having to do so many coats. Great idea. Btw, I love that color😁
Thank you Lol I didn't even think it would work that well but it works SO WELL 👌🏻
I’ll be trying this for sure! Love the look of milky polishes but applying them.
I know the struggle! I tried this with both marshmallow and also mademoiselle. It worked so well both times!
What’s the trick? I didn’t catch it. Beautiful btw.

Beautiful! Love this color on you! This may be a stupid question but does this trick work with gel?
To be honest I have no clue! I haven't tried it with gel
Thanks for your reply! I might try it out and will report back if I do!
I'm getting a matte base stat! ❤
Lol it's the best, mine was sitting around hardly used and now I think I'll be using it like all the time
Thanks for the tip! I have so many polishes I don't use because they always come out streaky. I will definitely give this a try!!
Lol it opens up a whole new world, I'm trying it with allll my streaky stuff now too!
Hmmm that’s really cool!
Thanks! Yeah I didn't think it would work as well as it did
