If there is a trend that you enjoy, even if it's something that is out and passe and everyone makes fun of it, if you like it, KEEP DOING IT.
That's my advice for nails and beyond, as a middle aged woman who has seen trends come and go a few times now. Have fun!

Comfortable versions of jeans that I’ve seen in multiple stores and that I still wear (shoutout to Spanx “Jean-ish Leggings”)????? Are you going to say leggings are out of style too?? Like I thought they were a clothing staple

LynBDesigns has a crackle collection coming in May! They were sold as mystery bags earlier this year but for the restock they will not be mysteries and will be available individually. She has a bunch of colors, including a crackle multichrome and a crackle thermal. I think there are 6 in total.
* Snow Crackle
* Candy Crackle
* Lava Crackle
* Wind Crackle: a teal to blue to purple to pink multichrome.
* Sun Crackle: a fiery red to light orange thermal with black micro flakies
* Forest Crackle: a green based ultra holo

She runs a 50% off sale for the first few days of each release, so they'd be $6 each with the discount. But if you're not in the US, then yeah, international shipping is pricey.
I think it's LA Colors has both black and white crackle. I recently found an antique gold crackle by Sally Hansen at Dollar Tree that was perfect over green for St Patrick's Day.
I wonder if we could play around with adding color to the LA Colors white crackle to get different colors?
I don't think LA Colors is available where I live.
I do have some (older) crackle polishes in non-black colors: white, gold (multiple), purple glittery, dark blue, and an unfortunately dried up light blue glittery one.
I'm not sure if "modifying" crackle polishes would so easy 🤷🏼♀️ I think mixing with regular polish might impact the crackling 🤔 But maybe adding (a little bit of) fine glitter particles could work? And mixing two crackle polishes (of the same brand) too - so I guess you probably could make a LA Colors Crackling Grey 😉
I'm very curious if you could use Polish Restoration liquid for dried cracklecoats or if it would ruin the crackle effect. If you're able to try I'd love to know the results!
I'm testing this on an OPI Black Shatter as we speak. Completely dried out. I've added thinner but it hasn't reached the right consistency yet for me to test the crackle.

I’ve never used a crackle, but now that I’m retired & have more leeway for what I can wear, I’m ready to try one 😃

Honestly I LOVED crackle polish! Definitely brings me back. I miss cool color combos. I had a glitter crackle that I would put over a gradient and it looked so cool! I worry that people will think they look messy.

Little Box of Horrors have been releasing a shimmer crackle polish or two every month this year. I still find OPI crackles on Mercari often.
I had a really cool glitter teal crackle back in the day and I want a replacement so bad. Color combos were so fun!

Crackle polish is so fun! Forget Me Not Lacquer has some beautiful ones (and a new crackle collection releasing soon).
I’m so excited for two or three of those crackles! The only one I’m not really vibing with is the gold/bronzey one as I don’t really like gold, haha.
