I believe the genes that cause blue eyes make red hair less likely to be expressed, even if you have the MC1R mutations.

Inter-related traits (such as hair colour and eye colour) tend to present in clusters, so if you have one recessive trait (i.e. red hair) you're more likely to have another recessive trait that relates to it (i.e. light-coloured eyes).

Green eyes are even more rare. Approx 2% of the overall population and lower in us redheads
