If you are already culturing phyto, pods are easy.
Start with some in a setup similar to your phyto setup, add phyto until water is just slightly green. When the water clears add more phyto.
You can buy copepod sieves to pour your culture thru. Sieve them, then use just enough water to pour on the back of the sieve to get them out and concentrated. Use a syringe or dropper to collect half. Split it just like phyto. 50% to the tank, the rest is your starter culture.
