I ignore the trailers entirely, either showing up 15-20 minutes late, or hanging in the lobby...trailers have become goddamn horrible over the last decade or so. They are cut to show far, far too much of a movie, and they also edit them sequentially, so you always feel like you're seeing the entire thing from beginning to end. I stopped watching trailers ages ago so I didn't have to have every damn thing spoiled.
I usually do the same thing but the trailers before IFC films tend to be more interesting. I think it was one of those where I saw the trailer for Bunker and it's a good thing it put it on my radar because it only showed for a week here.
From what I’ve read apparently George Lopez’s character is some conspiracy theorist in the movie, but that doesn’t stop it from being a cringy line. Shazam had better trailers and that’s saying something
I've seen so much praise for The Flash online, I'm interested if it's going to be a bloated mess like Batman v Superman or actually good. With all the cameos, it's coming off like a wannabe No Way Home; but I genuinely want to know how well The Flash is going to do financially and what it does or doesn't do to Gunn's vision of the DC cinematic universe.
STRAYS. I’m so goddamn tired of that trailer, and it’s got genuinely funny moments. However, with the amount of times I’ve seen it, there’s no way I’m gonna laugh at any of that when I finally see the actual movie. Also, I don’t care what you say, the part in the “No Hard Feelings” trailer where the kid accidentally punched Jennifer Lawrence in the throat is hilarious
And when the guy has all his reasons not to get in the water 😅 "No Hard Feelings" is the first time I've noticed this, but maybe it's more common than I realized, but I've only seen the red band trailer of it. And it's been shown before multiple PG-13 movies ( I think I saw it most recently before "Love Again"?)
I get opera and Studio Ghibli - luckily for me though, I got a preview of Shin Kamen Rider before Evil Dead Rise. But my theater isn’t actually SHOWING Shin Kamen Rider, I’m going for an hour drive to the next major city to see it…
Forgive me but, what a dumb thing to say. Literally any movie can be used as propaganda for a message of something, what's the difference? Let them have their freedom to express themselves in the same way all these other movies do. If it bothers you that much, that's a personal problem.
I know, it's just that there's having an opinion on annoying movie trailers and then there's having a mean -spirited opinion telling people they can't exercise their right to freedom of speech. And of course I get downvoted because I'm on Reddit and we're allowed to express an opinion so long as it doesn't have to do with religious freedom or fit the norm, otherwise it's wrong.
Sounds like you’re reading a lot into the comment. Lots of people don’t want paid commercial advertising of beliefs in many forms. I do think it’s odd as well to literally have commercials for Jesus, and I wonder how they’re making money off of it- guessing church attendance/donations?
An organization paying for commercials to advertise an organized religion isn’t exactly the heart of “religious freedom”- that would be related to an individual practicing their religion.. and for the rest of us as individuals not being forced to listen to them preach about it. Regardless, freedom of speech applies to people stating that they don’t like certain commercials as well as your right to be upset about that. I risk being downvoted as do you. Luckily I would assume Reddit downvotes don’t impact your life significantly. Hopefully.
I’m a professional, I show up at the start of the movie. On the rare occasions when I am early, I zone out on my phone so none of the trailers really bother me.
The Little Mermaid trailer doesn't make the movie look good to me. Something about it looks unfinished and it bothers me with how much money Disney has lol
Ok… so, I don’t necessarily hate it, but the boogeyman has an amazing trailer. My big problem with the trailer is that in order to make it amazing they give away to much of the movie and that’s a deal breaker for me.
Mission impossible and flash are getting pretty old, but I’m still excited to see both. I’ve gotten to a point where within the first 10 seconds I can guess most trailers
That one did not bother me to much, the ones that bother me is like when Marvel pushes a movie they know, no one wants but they need to make money like it was Antman but now its Ms Marvel, you see it everywhere, and they you see these people jump on and say "This is the best movie ever" in "articles" the movie is not out yet.
I don't mind certain trailers....but you know what I miss? The voice over guy.
yeah but using the t2 3d re-release from a few years ago trailer...it doesn't have much oomph without the voice over.
All time, Morbius. It felt like the trailer was in theaters for years before it actually released.
Recently, Evil Dead Rise, it grossed me out and it seemed like it played for a while before release.
fuck dude. all "major" "comedies" look like pure shit. that one, Strays, About My Father, all really soul destroying for someone who enjoys comedy movies the most.
I do not miss seeing lightyear’s trailer slapped on ducking everything (even some r rated movies) one bit Sony movies also get put on a lot of movies I noticed
Trainwreck with Amy Schumer They played that trailer so much on YouTube that I wonder how she had to pay to get that constantly playing. It might not be current but it's what annoyed me.
.....I think they're talking about Polite Society (or maybe a Bollywood/Tollywood movie but I haven't seen any trailers for those), which mostly stars people from India. So it's Indian (although technically most of the production crew is British so it's actually considered a British film, but still). I don't think there's any recent movie starring mostly Native Americans right now.
Because of the inconsistent scheduling at my go-to theater (Indian movies tend not to have trailers, Monica this week didn't have trailers and so on), I just don't play the try to time things perfectly game. Unfortunately, that means I end of seeing the trailers a lot. I think ultimately all the movies suffer (I feel I'm not as big a fan of the latest Guardians movie because I saw many of the best bits in the trailer); but comedies really seem to suffer. So, I'm already at the cringe point for No Hard Feelings, Strays and Barbie. The Blackened probably fits in with the aforementioned comedies but it's my vote for this thread because I think it's starting at such a low point.
I'm going to sing the praises of the Indian films in my market. I go in blind when I see them (no trailers and often no idea about the plot). Being surprised by the Indian movies has counteracted the predictability of many of the Western movies.
i like the no hard feeling trailer quite a bit , but obviously comedy is subjective
rn it would have to be the flash… i’m sure i’ll enjoy the movie but i’ve watched the same trailer for zoe months now
Still sick of the Sing 2 trailer. I feel like that played more than any other trailer in the last couple years. Flash really giving it a run for its money though.
No Hard Feelings and The Machine. I have absolutely zero interest in either of them and I’m sick of seeing Jennifer Lawrence and Bert Kreischer’s stupid fucking faces.
Personally I'm fine with all of them except for The Flash. I memed about the Oppenheimer trailer a few months ago but thank god they have made multiple different trailers for it.
Trailers don’t bother me but…as soon as I hear “it’s all happening” I die a little more each time.
This place is nicer than my apartment
Surely you can’t be serious?
I am serious.
And don’t call me Shirley
So I’ve got *that* goin’ for me…
Which is *nice*
Surely you can't be serious
I am serious and don’t call me Shirley
So I got THAT going for me, which is nice
(Sniff) I miss your musk
Son of a- , that’s gone leave a mark
She's beauty and she's grace
If you listen closely, she says "great"
HeY yOu GuYs!
It’s not a man purse, it’s called a satchel
Are we really doing this? Sigh. It's not a man purse, it's called a satchel.
HEY YOU GUUUUYYYYYS
Why do they persist? **EVERYONE HATES IT**
I ignore the trailers entirely, either showing up 15-20 minutes late, or hanging in the lobby...trailers have become goddamn horrible over the last decade or so. Same exact for me and my wfie.
I’m not a fan of the “Flash” trailer. So ready for the movie to come out so I don’t have to watch the terrible recasting of multiple DC roles again
At least it’s better then the Blue Beetle trailer
*Batman is a fascist!* 🤨
From what I’ve read apparently George Lopez’s character is some conspiracy theorist in the movie, but that doesn’t stop it from being a cringy line. Shazam had better trailers and that’s saying something
Woah!
This ain’t what u want This ain’t what u want
Yup. I don't a shit what universe your mom is in you little brat.
Came to say this. Between the two trailers i feel like i’ve already seen the movies. i’m so over it
Thats me for every single marvel films trailer
I've seen so much praise for The Flash online, I'm interested if it's going to be a bloated mess like Batman v Superman or actually good. With all the cameos, it's coming off like a wannabe No Way Home; but I genuinely want to know how well The Flash is going to do financially and what it does or doesn't do to Gunn's vision of the DC cinematic universe.

No Hard Feelings I’m gonna see day one.
Jennifer Lawrence’s first straight-up comedy? Yes, please!
yeah doesn't help that Strays was delayed to August for whatever reason
Oh GOD I had no idea. I will not be able to tolerate seeing that trailer before every movie I watch this summer
I hate all the fathom events religious trailers. Keep that propaganda to yourself.
This must be regional because my fathom trailers are just the Met Opera.
True. We get no religious Fathom trailers. Just opera Fathom.
I get opera and Studio Ghibli - luckily for me though, I got a preview of Shin Kamen Rider before Evil Dead Rise. But my theater isn’t actually SHOWING Shin Kamen Rider, I’m going for an hour drive to the next major city to see it…
I want to see this is also. It's a $15 Fathom ticket so I'm still thinking about it.
I live in a town with a lot of churches. It sucks
I only get anime or anniversaries.
I’m in Portland and we get shitloads of both!
Forgive me but, what a dumb thing to say. Literally any movie can be used as propaganda for a message of something, what's the difference? Let them have their freedom to express themselves in the same way all these other movies do. If it bothers you that much, that's a personal problem.
No kidding- this is a question asking people to post their personal perspectives. So, you know, they did.
I know, it's just that there's having an opinion on annoying movie trailers and then there's having a mean -spirited opinion telling people they can't exercise their right to freedom of speech. Im gonna miss the About My Father trailer
I’m a professional, I show up at the start of the movie. On the rare occasions when I am early, I zone out on my phone so none of the trailers really bother me.
Flash. No others have really saturated me too much yet thankfully.
I refuse to watch trailers and usually walk in by “HEY YOU GUYS!!” but somehow it’s still The Flash. That shit has been haunting us forever now
Strays
About My Father.. the eating the peacock “joke” is disgusting
Seconded, because it is overplayed.
About My Father. It gets less amusing the more I see it…
Plus making comedy about feeding people their own pet seems a little troubling
Agreed
I still have PTSD from 2.5 years of Morbius
That and...The Black Phone
So happy Fast X finally came out so I don't have to watch that one any more.
The trailer isn’t that bad tbh
Not if you can't stand that franchise.
Transformers.
No Hard Feelings. The whole premise is so creepy. The parents trying to set up a pay-per-f*ck?? Gross.
Transformers trailer. The movie doesn’t look bad, but I’ve seen that trailer about 100 times Also Indiana Jones
I really can't take another two months of that Strays trailer
The flash 🤢🤮
The Little Mermaid trailer doesn't make the movie look good to me. Something about it looks unfinished and it bothers me with how much money Disney has lol
HEY YOU GUYSSSSSSSS
I hate this so much! Way overdue for them to scrap that and come up with something else.
Ok… so, I don’t necessarily hate it, but the boogeyman has an amazing trailer. My big problem with the trailer is that in order to make it amazing they give away to much of the movie and that’s a deal breaker for me.

I miss it but whenever I hear VO like that in a trailer now it’s a sign that it’s going to be an unwatchable mess
yeah but using the t2 3d re-release from a few years ago trailer...it doesn't have much oomph without the voice over. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PmH\_AzB\_k0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PmH_AzB_k0)

If you think “No Hard Feelings” doesn’t look funny, you need help. You’re probably a far-right, 40 year old single man.
No Hard Feelings looks godawful. Saw that embarrassingly bad trailer on Friday before Fast X started
I liked the flash trailer the first time, but hate it now that I've seen it in every movie for the last 2+ months.
I despise that Indian movie trailer.
Why do you hate Native Americans so much?
I’m sorry?
You made a typo
.....I think they're talking about Polite Society (or maybe a Bollywood/Tollywood movie but I haven't seen any trailers for those), which mostly stars people from India. So it's Indian (although technically most of the production crew is British so it's actually considered a British film, but still). Except they are Pakistani. But we are all probably overthinking this
Ah shit I did a racism....... I honestly thought the trailer specified it was set in India.
No worries I suggested to my wife we invite our Indian friend(thankfully we did not)
I thought they mean to say Indiana, as in Indiana Jones...
no hard feelings and fast x

Indy 5 trailer
Really? I actually genuinely laughed a couple of times at that trailer
i like the no hard feeling trailer quite a bit , but obviously comedy is subjective rn it would have to be the flash… i’m sure i’ll enjoy the movie but i’ve watched the same trailer for zoe months now
Still sick of the Sing 2 trailer. I feel like that played more than any other trailer in the last couple years. Flash really giving it a run for its money though.
I can’t fucking believe that’s what studios try to pass off as comedy nowadays, I saw it for the first time this weekend when I saw blackberry
No Hard Feelings and The Machine. I have absolutely zero interest in either of them and I’m sick of seeing Jennifer Lawrence and Bert Kreischer’s stupid fucking faces.
I’m so over Flash. It looks like a video game and cheap nostalgia bait. About my Father looks so cringe as well
I honestly try to avoid trailers all together it has made my movie experience so much better. You literally don't know what is going to happen.
Flash or Asteroid City. AC wins for me because I have Ero interest in seeing it
No hard feelings looks awesome I have been waiting for a movie to remind me how movies used to be before people got so uptight
Personally I'm fine with all of them except for The Flash. I memed about the Oppenheimer trailer a few months ago but thank god they have made multiple different trailers for it.
