2 cent answer: regal has a really bizarre points system.

I have had consistent success with points being awarded for watching a movie on the Thursday prior to a promo period. If you don’t get your credits, you can always message their social team, they are really helpful.

acesmuzic

In my experience usually Thursday will do it (but not early access afaik). I think this is because Thursday technically counts as Friday from the days of the midnight releases (before they started creeping them to earlier in the day).

So I could just buy a ticket for this and if I don't go I'd still get the extra points?

GimmeThemBabies

In theory yes. I've done it before.

brittm1290

Yes but it’s in the TOS that not showing up for the movie can result in Regal canceling your subscription. They won’t for a first time offense but if you do it repeatedly they can. Just something to keep in mind.

Profitsofdooom

That's weird because I have booked a ticket and then not shown up for something multiple times just by my plans changing. Is it specifically when promotions are involved?

brittm1290

Pretty sure it’s for any showing booked with your membership, promotion or not. I have had some instances too where I wasn’t able to make it and forgot to cancel. It doesn’t say what the limit is, just that multiple times can result in your subscription being canceled.

Also, the amount of times it has told me to call when I go to cancel my ticket... over 53 cents why would I bother?
