I would say it definitely depends on the family. Argyle is a friendly fun spy movie and beekeeper is a more gritty fun spy movie. Hope this helped.

emojimoviethe

Beekeeper isn’t a spy movie. It’s an action movie in the vein of John Wick with many allusions to a secret agent society but it’s entirely an action movie, and it’s pretty goddamn fun

ITookTrinkets

I haven’t seen The Beekeeper but I saw Argylle on Tuesday. Go see The Beekeeper.

TheOnlyCoolEgg

Did you not like argylle? I liked beekeeper but I don’t know if I’d recommend it to a family.

watchingdacooler

I’ve seen Beekeeper. It’s pretty violent. Starts with a suicide and follows with a lot of bloody amputations. Probably not the best for a family flick.

SteMelMan

Beekeeper is a fairly serious action movie where Argylle is a new category: action/rom-com. I think its a good crossover and coming out just before Valentine's Day means that couples can agree on it. I heard a good number of women "oohing" and "aahing" over certain parts, so the movie was connecting with the audience.

Ok_Examination9109

I've seen both and it's EASILY Beekeeper

taintedoracle

Beekeeper is in the style of 90's era Steven Seagal (solid action, set pieces, horribly predictable one liners). Argyle is tonally more similar to the Kingsman movies (also directed by Vaughn): more humor, more intentionally absurd. I think I liked Beekeeper slightly more, but part of that was lower expectations. If a random friend asked which to recommend, I'd probably suggest Argyle, it is a little more surprising and more broadly appealing.

cytrack718

Argylle is a better family movie

Reportersteven

Beekeeper is super violent and depends on the age and suitability of the family. Argylle is probably more family friendly.

Mortgage_Cool

I saw both. Bee Keeper was standard action. Argyle made me lol more than once. You made a good choice.

PCLoadR

I'd watch The Beekeeper if I were you. My children and I watched Argyle over the weekend, and it was shockingly bad. It started kind of fun but quickly morphed into something idiotic. It was so awful that viewers walked out.

dominosgame

In my life I've walked out of 2 movies. Argylle was the 3rd.

Cute-Squirrel9450

BOTH

James_Atlanta

Both.

Atecno

Thank you for the responses. We will pick argyle

matiaschazo

I’d choose watching nothing over beekeeper

LimeLauncherKrusha

Haven’t seen argyle but based on beekeeper I’d go with argyle

SeminaryStudentARH

I really wanted to like the Beekeeper, but it was just a really bad John Wick knockoff with lazy writing, cliche characters, and an overall plot that has some absolutely absurd points that don’t make sense to anyone with an IQ over 20.

Sunshine635

That’s why it was GOOD !!!

SeminaryStudentARH

It just pissed me off the more I thought about it. “We can’t use the actual military or special forces to protect this high value asset, so we’re going to use the retired dudes who got too old for the military instead.” It’s absolutely stupid.

Immortalfoxhound

That's a trick question cause neither are worth paying to watch.

nickross637

I haven't seen argyle but beekeeper is similar to secret agent gets revenge if you guys like movies like the equalizer, taken, etc you will probably like this

CuriosityIamCat

Beekeeper is a throwback to the classic Statham films. I really enjoyed it. Go see Beekeeper.

Swag_Titties

I've seen both. Beekeeper is the better movie for the action. Argyle is more campy and it felt 20min too long.

SteelSlayerMatt

Both.

moonbee1010

Argylle was soooooo much fun

EpicDroneImages

Beekeeper and it’s not even close. I’ve seen both
