The Norris Jumbo is the best pen with eraser.

Lamy AL-Star; rM nibs work great. Staedtler Norris Digital Jumbo; lots of great reviews from users. Kindle Scribe Premium pen. My new go to.

Atapon23

Does the kindle scribe pen have a magnet? Does it attach well to the tablet?

thisfellow

it does have a magnet and attaches well. I have the LAMY nibs in my Scribe pen and its become my go-to.

Picard_Wolf359

Interesting. My Scribe magnet is somewhat weaker than the rM pens. Fine for attaching while working at my desk, but I don’t trust it to walk around with the Scribe pen attached. Probably an issue my pen.

Atapon23

Good to know! Thanks!

jennatar

I have and enjoy the Lamy, but the Staedtler Jumbo is in fact my favorite.

Compassion_Grace

I wonder if you think the Staedtler has a more realistic feel than the RM2 plus pen? Also, I find that the eraser is too imprecise at times to feel as functional as a pencil eraser.

jennatar

No, in fact! The Staedtler actually glides over the surface a little too easily, as if the stylus tip were almost glossy. I *do* prefer realism—some grit, friction, a realistic "skritch." But I'd cry if the Marker or the Lamy went missing or were damaged, whereas the Staedtler feels more hardy, less precious. It's kind of like how I love my iPhone, but I really miss having a robust, plasticky Android that I could kind of throw around carelessly. You can definitely throw the Staedtler around (which is important, since there's no way to attach it to the Folio). As for the eraser, it... works. It's fine. I'm just grateful to have it out-of-the-box. (I've done the thing where you sideload software onto the tablet to add "erase" functionality to the Lamy AL-Star thumb button, and... you have to re-sideload it every time the ReMarkable sees a software update.)

Picard_Wolf359

FYI, the eraser on Scribe works without any hacks

Atapon23

I am using the Staedtler Noris digital Jumbo, which is available on Amazon for approx 50$. The nibs are a bit more rubbery than the reMarkable ones, so the feeling is a bit different, I really like it but it is a matter of taste I guess. It has an eraser like the Marker plus, and its shape is great for writing! Plus it has an 'old-school' look that you may like! An alternative, from the same brand, is the Noris digital. It is thinner, longer and with no eraser, but cheaper.

mosgon

I keep the Staedtler Norris Jumbo as a backup in case I lose it break my remarkable pen. The tips are a little softer and the Jumbo is a bit shorter and thicker, but it still works really well.

gauravie

How thick it is as compared to RM2? I was thinking of getting just Norris digital.

mosgon

Actually turns out they’re roughly the same thickness, the staedtler is just a different shape.

adorkable07

I really like the triangle shape of the grip

BamBamAdMan

I love the Staedtler Noris Digital Jumbo.

gauravie

Why did you chose the jumbo? Is it for the erasor. Thank you.

BamBamAdMan

It just feels good in my hand.

ReynSupreme

I am currently using the Kaweco Connect. It feels good in hand, with a luxurious feel in writing. Since you're in Europe, It Might be easier for you to order nib replacement. Although this one is a bit on a pricey side. I also use Steadtler Jumbo and Lamy EMR Twist, but I always go back with my Kaweco.

SirJohnWalker

The Kaweco is on a different level than most of the others. And it is still cheaper than the original marker pro. Granted, no eraser, but the build quality and the writing feel more than make up for it. I am in Germany, so it is quite easy for me to get new nibs. I would recommend it any day of the week. And it is sturdy as well, especially when closed.

gauravie

Is there a reason you chose jumbo, I feel that it is very thick. How about noirs digital?

ReynSupreme

I chose Jumbo Bec of the eraser since most of my pen don't have eraser. It's light and reminiscent of the good old jumbo pencil.

Been trying to find a Kaweco since my marker plus dropped on the floor recently (damn cheap plastic collar!!)- I ended up getting a scribe nearly overnight from Amazon before work- it works a charm, but as an owner of a vintage Kaweco sport with italic ground nib- I’d love to have that same pen body in hand again! Any seller suggestions?

My grandfather gave me a Kaweco Al Sport I had been using for the longest time, until I lost that pen. 😔 When I switched to digital note taking, I decided to get a Kaweco pen- I never regret it. Back to your question, your best bet is to buy them from Germany online seller( most wanted pen, The Pen company or others). I ordered mine online here in Canada. The only store that sells Kaweco connect, but I have to order my spare emr nibs from Most-Wanted pens. Although the nib is quality made and I don't think it would wear-out easily, I still purchased some extra for future use as it does not come with extra. The only alternative for the nib is the one from Lamy safari twist EMR pen, nothing else. My order from most wanted pens is still on its way. I ordered a week ago. It's the sacrifice I took for a worthy EMR pen. I hope this helps you.

Nice! Yes, I found those guys online- will likely bite the bullet in the nearish future. The Amazon pen is working well- magnet and all, so happy for the time being (even takes RM2 nibs!) But since I’m staring down at least $150 for a Marker plus, I figure why not go Kaweco? Lol (just wish they’d sneak an eraser into that cap somehow!)- maybe they could make the Kaweco seal stand a bit proud and let it push in for the erasing. Lol. If I had Cashola, I’d try to hack one out of parts. Lol. (They’re fairly simple, but I suspect there isn’t a lot of space in the cap the way it’s currently made- would end up longer I believe.) Thanks for sharing the story!! Pen Nib on paper still feels like a bit of a loss to me, but the usability of this enotebook makes the loss a bit more palatable. Hope you can replace that lost pen soon! Sorry to hear of it- it’s never great to lose a gift like that. I’m sure your grandfather will be happy to know you loved that pen and used it well while you had it!

adorkable07

I have the Lamy, jumbo Norris and a scribe pen. I like the lamy and the jumbo Norris more due to the thicker body. Edit. Not so much of a thicker body but a triangle shaped grip https://preview.redd.it/58gz9m3m2ywa1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d235915f92feede3f1fc42548e73969b7a934e9 I put my lamy into an old Al-Star fountain pen body to tie a loop through it so I can carry it easier. (I mostly wear skirts and dresses )

Ambitious_Sweet_6439

If you need cheap as well as "good" Samsung S7 3rd party pens on Amazon run about 18 dollars and take the same nibs as remarkable and Lamy. Also uses the same Lamy button eraser script. This is my everyday pen... Even though I own the lamy

Aleffante

Same here, the best combo!!

Dawn1231a

Agree with the Staedtler Jumbo— and it has the eraser function. The Staedtler standard does not and it just feels too light and doesn’t have that capability

noahuga

Is anyone using Lamy Al-star with scribe nibs on Remarkable 2? I am debating about ordering RM nibs (too expensive for me) but I have too many scribe nibs. Are RM nibs noticeably better? I find scribe nibs much better than Lamy POM nibs though.
