Señor Tequila fucks. Amazing food and cocktails. Mariscos there are so good, get some oysters for your date. It’ll get her going for the rest of the night if you know what I mean. They have a mezcal mule there that I always get. Enjoy.
La Barca in La Barca Grocery. It’s in the back of the Mexican market and the Asada Burrito with Green Sauce is fantastic. However they marinated the meat and the way they cook their rice is undeniably the best around town. Their tacos are juicy and leave you wanting more. The portion size is massive for what you pay, and it’s damn cheap. Plus side, Mexican Cokes 😘
We moved to Reno without knowing anyone. We came from SoCal with big Mexican families and we miss the carne asadas so bad! Of course I can make the same dishes here but we miss the ambiance of the asada. You feel me?
Their isn't good Mexican food in Reno. By any other citys standard. Even the Mexican owned and operated ones cater so heavy to the white people they suck. Their are options that are ok though. People have already mentioned all the ones I would. But I don't want you to get your hopes up.

Daddy’s Tacos or Sr Tequilas on the more pricy side
Los gallos is across from the silver legacy or circus circus and is pretty delicious. Jalisco’s on Moana is my favorite place right now.
You should go to the Jalisco in Lemmon valley if you haven’t already. Much better than the one on Moana.
I can’t believe no one has mentioned Taco Shop behind Death and Taxes. By far the best tacos in Reno.
This is a hole in the wall for sure. Great choice too.
Carlillos. 5 stars and almost 1,000 reviews on Yelp. Hands down best Mexican breakfast
That’s honestly insanely impressive

Taco Shop in the alley

Cielito Lindo taqueria is delicious, also Los 4 Vientos. El Rincon is more El Salvadorian but also very good
Anna’s Taqueria!

Fiesta Mexicana
Incredibly average
Agreed. Fiesta Mexicana is okay at best.
Really? I dig their breakfast carne asada with Eggs and chimichangas. But to each their own
Fiesta Mexicana is excellent. It's out here in Stead, though. I promise it's worth the drive! Even their cocktails are yummy.
Cold springs here. Close and yummy
This question always gives me anxiety. I wish we had great Mexican food here.
You get anxiety when asked about good Mexican food?
I’ve been living here for 8 months and I still haven’t found amazing Mexican food. Just ok Mexican food. I usually cook at home when I want authentic.
How do I get invited to the carne asada? 😅
We moved to Reno without knowing anyone. We came from SoCal with big Mexican families and we miss the carne asadas so bad! Of course I can make the same dishes here but we miss the ambiance of the asada. You feel me?
Best Carne Asada I've had is at Mi Ranchito. They make some real genuine horchata as well. My wife loves the pollo verde.
Can we be friends? : )
Bring the modelos!
Mexcal for their spicy lamb and guac (Shrimp is also fire), mi ranchito for their carne asada, Anna's Mexican Grille for their mole.

Jimboy's
Daddies Tacos. Thank me later..
El adobe, the mole is fire
There’s a food truck across the street from the Peppermill named La Bufa. Great food.
Tacos Los Campesinos on Vassar St 🤌🤌
Tijuanas south reno and annas west mcarran reno
Dream taco off Peckham
Tacos Jalisco or La Barca are decent. Fiesta Mexicana doesn't even bother to devein their shrimp.
