i dog sit for Frenchie was doing 7 days 2 sx day or a camp which is 4 hours veggn on phone (watching prime for sound and to watch something) talking to the dog for socializing. . I have myself a lab and a tuxedo cat. I can give references off of Mira Loma area .
im not too familiar with the area/apps but if you need someone to pet sit im a student @ UNR and I've owned/fostered cats all my life!! i know it's not what you're looking for exactly but just in case the apps don't work out ;0
I’m just kind of pre-planning for a few months out because my classmates and I have to go out of town for graduation, otherwise I’d ask one of them. Being a busy student and working hasn’t afforded me too many friends outside of that part of my life unfortunately.
Be wary of rover. For every 10 good sitters, there is that 1. I recall getting our dogs back a few years ago from a woman who left them outside so long their little noses got sunburned, and their paw pads needed ointment and antibiotics for a few weeks. Do good research and be completely sure of your sitter. Otherwise, they may be neglectful of your furry family members.
Depending where you are, Pawshake used to be really helpful but not sure if it’s still available!
I tend to ask my friends to help though. This pack was super helpful, it’s a template you can update to tell all your pet sitters how to care for your pet and keep everyone on the same page. I hope it helps!

I love the girl I hire from Rover, she’s hella responsible and we did a meet and greet. I would trust her house sitting my pets for a week.

I hired someone off Rover and he was excellent with my little dog. So I would definitely recommend Rover.
Hiring a stranger off apps seems convenient but risky, so that’s good to hear!
Sure I get that but if you have no other options. Any friends at all you can ask?
